  • Awesome RIP

  • Hi Sir, what a beauty stuff!

I wonder what is that it's used as saddle on your cbg?

  • @txellenne Hiya, It's a short piece of nickel silver rod. Brass will do just fine, too - anything you can find that works easily with a file. It has the bottom surface filed flat so that it won't roll around. Under that is a piece of rosewood and, below that, a piezo disc transducer (£1.57 for five on eBay). However, you can get Ted Crocker (tedcrockercom) to send you a pre-built one for a very good price. Any questions - just drop me a line.

  • Excellent!

  • Cheers a lot! Glad you liked it.

  • great stuff justin, well impressed! on the edge of my seat, anticipating you ending the video with a rendition of DAAAA.....NEEEE.......GIBBS

  • Cheers Pete! Check out my next "made-it-in-60-minutes" animation... "The Builder from Hell - Episode 1". You'll recognise the old sense of humour. Daaaa!

  • no don't throw out the cigars

  • OK... you can have the next batch then. I quit smoking.

  • Ha ha, now that IS smokin!

  • 5 stars from me I had to chuckle.

  • Cheers, Rodeobadger - if you can't have a laugh, what can you do? Keep smiling!

  • man i dig the hat

  • Cheers, Gsjssss. I saw a smoking hat on the TV and had to have one, so I made this from a piece of the curtains and five minutes on the sewing machine.

  • Brilliant!!!!

    Ted

  • Actually, I have to give a lot of credit to my dad who did a lot of the woodwork and wire on this. He also opened the Star Club with the Beatles back in Hamburg so... top man.

  • Stop playing jazz and funk on that box...it'll lose it's mojo if you suffocate it with jazz. Stick to da blooooze.

  • The blues versus jazz/funk? Interesting. Let me reach for that essential piece of music kit: "The Jazzmatic" - random lines of authentic-sounding jazz commentary at a mouseclick... (click) "Boozie Wigham's misty spirals on the tin-tip pianola injected a welcome 'New York' feel into Jingo Royale and his new-era 7-step ensemble" Ha! Match that with your "Slidin' Willie 'snakeskin' Johnson plucks the Chevie Shuffle." Maybe other readers would like to post their own abstract musical quips.
