I am a bit of a newbie with this, but I have a stock 06 V6. I was wondering about the popping on deceleration? I see this on multiple vids and I don't understand. Is it just the crappy audio from the camera? I heard someone say something about before it is warmed up, it is in open loop mode, which makes it pop?

ok. Question my bro got a 08' gt and i got a 05' V6, my bro bought SLP catted X-pipe and the SLP powerflow mufflers and tips (he had loudmouths but wouldn't pass inspection). Im wanting to put his stock H-pipe and buy the SLP loudmouths from him and buy some aftermarket mufflers so mine can pass inspection. Would the H-pipe fit my V6?????

I dont know why it matters what motor is in his car. Im sure he wanted a gt but he got what he got if he want to add some sound to it then thats his business. You ppl spend too much time on the internet scouting out v6 cars. You dont see people with V10 and V12 coming down on v8 owners asking them why they didnt get what they got. Its 2010 find a new hobby

a little less torque though, but its enough to pull faster times, i think like 5 seconds or something crazy like that to 60, the GT5.0 coyote is in the mid 4s

Ya know, having the V6 version helps on both gas and insurance, while still looking good and having good performance over many new cars. Plus installing dual exhaust does help with some extra horsepower from what I understand. I plan on buying a V6 and working on it over the years to make it better (which includes eventually dropping a V8 in).

@LegendGTA Most guys I've scene who do not wanna spend the 100+ for a new bumper cover(not cover cost of paint) generally just cut out a measured piece for the exhaust tip. A bit of measuring and some tape for a quick easy mod.

The H-Pipe helps with sound but not as much HP increase. The X has a more exotic sound and more HP. Either way you go the car will still sound great!

Some modifications were done, nothing major at all. Pretty much just cut out the stock Y pipe and weld the GT H-pipe in place.

Just cruising around town in fine. If you take a trip on the highway at about 75mph there is some drone that may be unpleasant to some but I love it.
