  • That is my footage. I shot that.

  • This actually reminds me a lot of a My Morning Jacket show I attended, but it was the polar opposite; they tried to see how quiet they could be. They were almost completely silent while still performing for, like, 20 minutes.

  • Aaaaw this is so great!

This gig was less then 2 months before my birth><

  • Well that din will have cleared all the mice away ..

    Great band !

  • AAAAAAAAAAHHH! this is what Heaven would sound like

  • Fucking hell...I mean seriously...what a beautiful noise. Its only a vid and its kinda shaken me a little, imagine actually being there!! Amazing.

  • Man I always try to find out when the audience is applauding but it's hard because MBV is the one band I know that can purely make noise and make it sound like there's no sign of the audience applauding at all. Well you could tell later on like in around 5:00 but before that it was so hard to tell. It sounds like a freakin' tornado!!!!!! This concert.

  • Haha,,,yeah. Deaf much? Awesome band.

  • my bloody valentine is the glow

  • Brill video

  • DEAF

  • The used underpants of Bill Bruford?

  • my bloody valentine is glorious.

  • you are a fucking nerd and everyone hates you

  • haha your such a lame snob turd eater.

  • Forget anyone that does not 'get' this band. They play from their heart, have big ideas, are true to their own vision, have a healthy disregard for their isteners sense of hearing and are not afraid to leave a 16 year wait between live performances. Name one other band that comes close............

  • I was at this show. I remember my hearing before the show. Never the same since.

  • roll on the Electric Picnic then......!

  • @beatyw was it worth it?

  • @redcereal12 Not really, earplugs wouldn't have detracted from my enjoyment or memory of the show. It was still pretty awesome though. Dinosaur Jr were almost as loud that night too.

  • @beatyw I lol'd hard

  • where can i get this bootleg?

    the full thing

  • Saw them in March 92 and let me tell you, during this the constant barrage of noise and strobes was VERY disorienting. One of the best bands I've ever seen.

Blur played after MBV and I didn't hear their first 3 songs!

    Holy Fuck indeed!

  • last comment fellow or chica you are still very arrogant as far as i'm concerned MBV is probably one of the best bands in the last 50 years, and i have been a huge fan through the years, and fyi this is the first time i have ever searched youtube for live footage of them, and buddy it is way more impressive than i thought it would be, people re-listen, refresh, rediscover this incredible act, cheers!

  • i study plenty of music theory.

now tell me, how will music progress if people follow the rules and no one experiments?

    it won't.

  • @ratxinxaxcage67

Nowhere in music theory does anything say "you can't do this", there are no rules.

  • I study music too. And after 10 years, I've learned this: NEVER judge what is music and what is not. Music is not just beats and melodies and harmonies, its about emotion and expressing it through any means possible. Many things we can't enjoy because our own pride gets in the way. I suggest you don't do the same mistake.

And now my turn: Chicago, September 27 2008, Aragon Ballroom. CANNOT WAIT!!!!

  • and that is why you visited a video about a band you know you don't like? so you can bad mouth it with your arrogance? I guess you did not learn "how not to be an asshole" eh?

  • Oh I get it! Great music is all about the likes of Bob Seger, Billy Ray Cyrus, Alan Jackson, James Blunt, and the used underpants of Bill Bruford.

Yeah, those selfishly arrogant trolls in My Bloody Valentine need to take note!

  • Comment removed

  • no way that audience has any eardrums left

    long live mbv

  • Holy Fuck.

  • What a completely divine interlude! :-D

  • Yep, people do'nt make 'em like that anymore....

    all hail their return......!!

  • Perfect! Please post more!

  • these live videos are great - thank you

  • BENICASSIM 2008! I CANT WAIT FOR MBV!

  • Footage from their golden days and not even long enough for the one song! They can't come back soon enough.....

  • Brilliant

  • God I hope they come to America on this new tour. Really really really.

  • I'm sure they will. America's one of those places you can't not play.

  • under Bush it is....

  • not really. Bush is shit but we don't live under a fascist theocracy making it harder for bands to play here or anything.

  • for people coming from outside with world -wide talent, it would appear otherwise.....
