Sen Jim DeMint on cash for clunkers: they want to run health care

I agree with Jim DeMint. This Cash for Clunkers was a misappropriation of our tax dollars and a bit silly.

Many servicable 5 year old cars are being turned in to be crushed. Shouldn't we allow those who are poorer car owners to now trade-in their older clunkers for these clunkers+some$? We could call it "clunkers for clunkers!" The government could get some cash back this way. If we don't do this, then we are taking needed used cars off the market and it affects the poor the most.
