  • what episode is this?

  • What episode is this?

  • What episode is this?

  • A modern-day Saturnalia celebration. =)

  • I AM THE MASTER OF THE BATH!!!

  • 1:02... his look.... lmao

  • This is from Season 2 Episode 12

  • Vote up for QI the Movie!

  • which series and episode is this

  • There's more than 6 states of matter.

  • @ILikeToMong number 7, anti-matter

  • @realGeorgelucas18563 Anti-Mater is a type or form of matter but it's not a state. Theoretically we could have solid, liquid and gas (ect) anti-mater.

  • I'm so glad they took away those stupid bars in front of the screens.

  • Alan looks so small in Stephen's place :') awww <3

  • WHICH EP!?!?

  • I actually knew the Mozart one! :D

  • There are more that 6 states of matter. What about String-Net liquid and Rydberg molecules? I named two more, so there are more than six and I know there are more than eight.

  • @FAB12UCB I'm not sure if we observed the String-Net liquid - it been proposed, it probably exist but I can't really call on that one without doubt... The Rydberg molecules is a form of plasma, a really weird form of plasma but still...

However, you forget an easy one: glass. I'm sorry, but glass is kind of weird state of matter ;) If we where to do the something similar with ice, we will turn it into water before returning it to ice, but no, that have to become glass...

  • I swear glass was a state of matter.

  • @RaincloudPlay Glass is quite solid! ;) I suggest you run into a glass door...to test it!

  • @triondrummer It's hard, yes. Plasma is sort of "liquid-like", however, because of the way the atoms are made up, it's another state of matter. The same applies to glass, it's also another state of matter, because of the atoms.

  • Was it like this for a whole episode??

  • @timeluster nah just the section that's been uploaded, the rest is normal

  • Alan is fit. ;D <3

  • At school I tried to tell my science teacher that there were more than 3 states of matter, and she told me that I was being stupid. I got this clip up for her.

  • @lillyshak depends what year ur in i suppose, cos the exam board decides how much u should know each year :p

  • WHAT ABOUTH INTERTIA

    dont you remember?

Inertia is a property of matter

BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY

  • @mofunzonecom Yes, it's a property of matter, but not a state of matter.

  • This was a stupid question because not everybody agrees on how many states of matter there are. There are certainly at least four, but many others have been proposed, including Bose-Einstein condensate, superfluid, supercritical fluids, fermionic condensate, quark-gluon plasma, electron-degenerate matter, neutron-degenerate matter, exotic matter, black holes, and so on, not to mention the aqueous state of "continuous" and "dispersed" phases in colloids or the "aqueous" state of a solute.

  • @EebstertheGreat fuck u and ur damn knowledge ;) jks, but seriously I have no idea what most of those things are

  • what was the last question?

  • i may sound stupid but when the siren goes off and they flash the answer that has been said, on the screen, what does it mean??? i cant figurre it out :/

  • @Shany463 It means they said an answer that is both wrong and was "obvious", which goes against the spirit of the show, being Quite Interesting. They get a loud sound to tell them they're wrong, along with -10 points (as if it mattered :D).

  • @Mx41204 ooo ok thanks :)

  • @Shany463 It means that they've just repeated a common misconception, i.e. what they said was wrong, but the producers of the show had guessed that someone might say it. :)

  • and this question is for Stephen Fry

  • I'm surprised at you Stephen xD

  • I thought that there are seven. The seventh state of matter is thought.

  • I love how Stephen and Alan always annoy each other and provide us with great laughs - I bet they're actually quite good friends

  • @MissPezzalicious I'm convinced that Alan is paid to lose frankly. :P

  • For some reason, I'm surprised Alan can read...

  • This is one of the funniest fucking QI bits out there...

  • Revenge!!

  • awesome! JUST FREAKING AWESOME!

  • actually, according to wikipedia there are 21 states of matter, WTF???

  • im the master... :D

  • Vote up for QI the Movie!

  • @blondemario we've still got 17 years until it's finished, cool your jets.

  • the fucking "baaathster" made me have an asthma attack! ffs : )

  • They cut out the football question! :D

  • 0:00 no ads!

  • this fucking advert is doing my head in!

  • This video doesn't have the best line, when he says "Oh Stephen, you idiot"

  • what episode is this

  • @buffaloface1 The last episode of series 2.

  • Alan looks for gutted when Stephe answer the question on toilet water correctly :') <3

  • i came to this video after watching angus thongs and perfect snogging x

  • Remeber guys that since this was released that they conceeded that there's at least 15 states of matter, amongst the list here there's: superfluid amorphous solid strange matter superconducting pseudogap rydberg molecules quantum Hall states quark-gluon plasma supersolid superglass The list goes on ;)
  • Wait, what about non-newtonian fluids?

  • @onlyontuesdays99 Still a fluid.

  • "aaaww... yeah thats true" XD

  • I'M THE MASTER

  • I love how Alan does that bending over laughing and staring at the desk thing that Steven does!

  • @ghosterdude so watch whole episodes

  • Now compare this to American game shows.

  • Alan finally gets revenge. lol

  • There are six states of Australia, the only country that matters.

  • what episode is this from?

  • When Alan goes "awh" after Stephen gets the question about water correct is brilliant!

  • Anyone know what the episode code number is?

  • THIS HAD TO BE THE BEST EPISODE EVER!!!!

  • i don't want pagerage

  • I find Alan's slight lisp to be so, so adorable <3

  • @soyuncatacol What sadistic bastard decided to put a 's' in 'lisp'.

  • @jkh2004 Probably the same person who came up with the word for dyslexia.

  • @jkh2004 It's and indicator, if you cannot pronounce it, you have lisp :P

  • @s0m30n3unavailible I used to have a lisp, and it was incredibly annoying to tell people as such.

  • @jkh2004 What idiot put an r in "rhotacism"?

  • @jkh2004 i dont think you know what sadistic means bro

  • @rabitshadow I know exactly what it means.

  • @jkh2004 then youre using it waaaaaaaaaay out of context

  • @rabitshadow Yeah, a little, I guess.

  • @jkh2004 Ive wondered that exact thing. In those exact words...

  • @jkh2004 the same one that decided how to spell dyslexic

  • Press 8 repeatedly for Alan's impression of a masturbating Scotsman

  • She was nice

  • 6? Are you sure?

  • i didn't understood the last question, could someone please explain it to me?

  • @TakeInIT1 There is a myth that the water goes down the plug (in a bath or sink) in one direction in the southern hemispher, and the other direction in the northern hemisphere. This, as Stephen answered correctly, is not true, and the water can go down both clockwise and anti-clockwise regardless of the hemisphere it is in (:

  • which season/episode is this from?

  • @MrEliavm Series B (2), Episode 12 (:

  • Merry Christmas Alan Davies :D

  • Keep on pressing 2... Alan rocks back and forth in his chair and says 'bliss' repeatedly.

  • @Lebannalim haha thats funny as fuck when your high

  • Comment removed

  • there are actually over thirty states of matter some of which intersect

  • Alan is so charming.

  • just call me Master of Bathwater!

  • "I AM THE MASTER!!!" aaahahaha! XD

  • The noise he makes at 0:42 <3

    Alan Davies is the best.

  • Did Alan take over for the whole show? I'd like to see that one.

  • @SuperPepper64 afraid not. it was just for the general ignorance section.

  • QI bbc QI comedy QI Alan Davies QI Takes Over the QI Show! - QI

  • Aw, I love Alan!

  • I feel left out. Everyone else is moaning about the adverts and I didn't get one.

  • @Sailorsega Buy a Mazda.

    There u go :o)

  • @Sailorsega You can have mine.

  • shit, i'm running out of QI vids to watch

  • @ghosterdude don't worry you can re-watch them all when you've done, trust me its just as fun

  • @ghosterdude You've watched all the episodes on NickFromFulham's channel?!?

  • @azdgariarada i'm on it! thanks!

  • @ghosterdude new series in afew weeks

  • @ghosterdude so am I! this might be the 4th time i've come to this video and read your comment and thought "haha so am I"

  • @ghosterdude you'll never run out of QI episodes if you subscribe to NickFromFulham's channel on Youtube.

  • @cskog001 Or to Quite Interesting's channel which uploads the newly aired ones each Friday evening.

  • awww alan davies <3<3<3

  • @SuperKluckster He's a very clever comedian. What do you have against him?

  • 1:29 Aw... Poor Alan.

  • no one gives a shit about king arthur having sky fucking plus!

  • @upliftzippy Yeah, sick of some of these ads

  • @upliftzippy at least it is better than seeing attack ads. god do I hate federal elections,

  • i wonder how many people, after watching this, went to the bathroom to try changing the water's direction.

  • @dandondan223 I did for one

  • "Awww.... yeah... that's true..."

  • What episode is this?

  • @JoJea007 Series B, episode 12 =D

  • I love Christmas

  • Phil is ace "I AM THE MASTAR!" XD

  • Wow, I must have missed this one

  • Alan should take over more often :)

  • actually, there are more than 6 states of matter.

  • I love the image of Stephen Fry playing around flushing a toilet.... a sophisticated British man acting like a little kid.

  • Oh that wacky Alan!

  • what were the 6 states of matter again

  • @shad0wshrew Solid, liquid, gas, plasma, Bose-Einstein condensate and fermionic condensate. Bose-Einstein condensates are really interesting because they can pass through solid objects, a bit like Shadowcat off the X-Men only not made up by Stan Lee or whatever.

  • @leaguesmanoframsgate Yeah and it happens only at absolute zero, if I'm not mistaken...

  • @Varoonmg I'm not sure about that - it's been a while since I read the article. But it's an incentive to find out, no? Finding things out is fun!

  • @leaguesmanoframsgate Yeah that's true but not on Youtube!, there's so much fallacies going round in Youtube vids ( except in Great Ones like QI...^^)...

We should try to look about it from some credible source....

I personally read about it in a french Science review some time back....but gonna check....

  • @Varoonmg Close to, but not at. That would be impossible.

  • @b0bd0le101 What if all energy is removed from something....it is bound to reach absolute zero....after all, no atoms would be vibrating anymore...Anyway, I'm no expert, so we've gotta find out...

  • @Varoonmg Yes, but it's impossible get to absolute zero. The effect observed when the bosons reach the same quantum state is visible at 170 nanokelvins, which is most certainly not absolute zero. Plus, the kinetic energy of the molecules at absolute zero is greater than 0, so even at absolute zero, the particles still have energy.

  • @b0bd0le101 You beat me there..... I don't know if you're right, but I'll take your word for it.....Wikipedia kind of goes in your way....

Gotta read some stuff on it....Thanks for the info...

  • "Iam surprised at you Stephen!!

  • @AlexDrakeA2A I was too, we learned about the bose-einstein condensates in high chemistry, granted it was advanced placement but still, come on Stephen!

  • British comedy - best in the world!!!

  • Which episode is this one from? Can´t seem to find any of it but for this little skit...

  • @EinherjarServitor Season 2, Episode 12. It says it in the video information :3

  • alan is enjoying himself so much! it's so cute.

  • Stephen looks really miserable, bless him :(

  • XD!!!

    that was adorable

  • "Oh Fry- you idiot"

    Hahaahaa :LLL

  • "I"m surprised at you, Stephen."

  • nice comeback at the end stephen

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha - Please do this for a whole episode!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • I wish they did this more often! Alan certainly makes Stephen looks silly and it serves him right for giving Alan the 'weakest buzzer'!

  • Alan and Stephen should switch for a whoe episode

  • @thom9434 That'd be bloody brilliant! Maybe this christmas? *hopeful eyes at the BBC*

  • "Oh bollocks" xD

  • "This question is for Stephen Fry...."

  • It's so sad that Stephen hated this, because this was possibly my fav qi moment ever! :) (pitty bbc cut the start out)

  • @Orlabobz, how do you know that Stephen hated this?

  • @MrCsharpMajor

Eh, I read it somewhere.... also it's easy to see he was uncomfortable with it and they never did it again......

  • @Orlabobz haha maybe he doesn't like being corrected by alan

  • @chocchipfox

I think it was more they set out to make him look silly.... which was funny but im not surprised Stephen didn't like it!

  • what episode of which series is this?

  • @HcmJames dude.. its in the description S2E12

  • @HcmJames The last episode of the B series.

  • haha i love it how alan gets disappointed at the end. did he host the whole show?

  • @chocchipfox Naw, he just didn't wanna be embarrassed in General Ignorance so Fry swapped with him in the spirit of 'The Master serves the Servant'. Then Alan pulled out the sheets you see =L

  • This has to be one of Alan's cutest moments :')

  • Ha ha ha, Alan getting his own back on Stephen :D

  • did stephen's forfeits count towards alan's scores at the end?

  • @qhlpp I'm not 100% sure, but I think they counted his score as well. Sorta like when the audience are asked a question. Since he only got two wrong, he might have had the highest score.

  • @ChaoGuy2006

Watch the show. Alan Davies ends
