@ebsho803e The "Empty Combinator Template" is my own creation. It's nothing fancy. It just speeds up my workflow when I create these tutorials. It's just a combinator with the labels removed and a line 6 mixer thrown in. That's it. Like I said.. nothing fancy. But it saves me from having to remove all the labels mainly. I don't like having default labels. I'd rather have it "empty" - easy enough to create your own. Just remove the labels, add in a mixer and save it. Thanks for commenting. ;-)
@WardHankDUBSTEP Well thanks. That's very much appreciated. I guess it might not be everyone's cup of tea. I just love tinkering with the Arpeggiator. I'm currently working on a few videos showing how to arpeggiate using a Matrix. It's like going backwards, since the RPG-8 is much easier and more advanced. But still, it's a fun process to learn different methods to Arpeggiate melody lines, basses, and all kinds of stuff. Coming soon!
@tintala The RPG-8 (if used in a traditional and intended way) will work with any device that has a note/gate CV input. So it applies to instruments like the Malstrom, Thor, and most other instruments except the Redrum and Dr.OctoRex. That being said, if you look at my other tutorials, there's ways around this limitation. If you put a Rex device in a combinator and use the combinator gate and Dr.Rex Pitch cv inputs, for example. See my other videos for ways in which to do this.
in 1:04, where do you find the "empty combination template". It's just the same thing as line mixer right?
