I dont think this film is an anti-war film at all.. Its just showing what happens in life. This could of easily happened to kids that lost there parents another way. The war is barely a backdrop here its part of the story but its not front and center alot of the time.
My heart was broken when the girl died. I felt choked and cried aloud. Even typing now I still feel deeply sad for what the girl suffered. Though i do blame Japan invaded China, which caused the suffering for people in both countries, i am not here to blame. Wish we all cherish the peace we have.
