Save the violence for the next war, TV has got so many things going on and choice of viewing has expanded as indeed the channels. There are no BROAD societal standards of what is and isn't indecent. Everyone has different standards. For instance, as a libertarian, I couldn't care less if the tv stations played porn, so long as the kids aren't exposed to it, and parents actually do their job.

The FCC regulation of what TV networks can and can't show is just another example of the silly nanny state gone too far, scapegoating networks for "degradation" of our culture and shirking parents of responsibility.

The issue is the hours that those programs air. Mature isnt a word that should be ascribed to adults who giggle and tee-hee at the truly childish and sometimes R rated innuendos and language that can be found on Family Guy or S. Park.
