I once had a boomerang and never got to use it because I wasn't old enough to go to the park by my self but too old to go with my parents. I forgot all about it then one day found it in the garden. I thought, I can use this now because I'm old enough. A few minutes later my little cousin threw it and it went over the fence and I never got to use it.
