Most shows now dont have a plot, and just go episode by episode so that it doesnt matter what show is on what day. I love shows like these, where the whole series has a plot.

@Cowboycurtis888 First its Carnarvan, second, he was an earl, not a lord, and third, he was the financier of the acheaological dig. Howard Carter was the person who did the research, staked his career on the find, spent countless hours under the hot sun, and did the actual discovering. Carnarvan just sat in his comfy villa sipping tea waiting for Carter to inform him if the hunch he had was right. Carnarvan was the purse strings, not the brains in the least.
