  • @Pixieonthe7

are you retard or half deaf?

  • Take it easy, eddy. I just felt he was hoping too much, not completing his sentences and using too many fillers. I am a fan too. but you should grow up.

  • hahaha, sorry, I reacted like that because i speak a lot and i say nothing too, so maybe i get unconsciously insulted, but I'm a grown up I swear.

  • awesome director! :)

  • he says "and um" like 50 times.

  • Writers do that a lot. Their entire life is words and they want to choose the perfect words. Virtually every brilliant writer talks like this and has awkward pauses and they repeat themselves. Often times while they are speaking they are also thinking of what they've just said and weather it was received correctly.

It's the result of being so brilliant and caring about what you are talking about.

  • i adore his movies, childlike, subtle, somber, funny....you can tell he's an honest, creative guy.

it's curious that tim burton says the same thing about himself, that he doesn't recognize that "style" that others seem to identify; and both aesthetics are so defined! those are true artists.

  • I love his films. I like to see them mainly as sad films that make you feel good in the end. Especially in Darjeeling, Zissou and Tenenbaums.

There is a subltle wit and underlying dry humour to all his videos. By far my favourite director!

  • there's no way tim burton and this guy don't recognize their own styles. who are they trying to kid lol they're brilliant, but please...spare us the hipster disassociation. you're telling me that wes doesn't realize he's constantly centering his characters within the frame and shooting them with an extremely wide angle lens. get real. maybe if you're the coen brothers but really...when you're as self indulgent as these two, its a slap to the face to claim you aren't even aware of your own style

  • He turned 40 on May 1st.

  • He's one of my favorite directors next to Stanley Kubrick and Quentin Tarintino and Michel Gondry

  • I agree about gondry. but QT?

  • I know exactly what he means, with having a setting and a crisis but no definite plot ^_^ he's great.

  • He looks a lot younger than 40.

  • No, he´s in his 40. Look it up.

  • I wish there were more filmmakers like Wes Anderson.

  • I agree. Hollywood would be a better place if there were more directors like Wes.

  • in a way it makes his films really valuable since there's absolutely nothing else like them

  • he was really nervous for this interview for some reason. It's to see creative film making. There is so much more that can be done with the medium. But movies get locked into this format. One rule that I don'[t understand is that movies must be under an hour and 45 minutes(1:45). Is that for the ritalin generation or what?

  • stylistically, he takes a lot from truffaut, particularly the film, "la nuit americaine"

  • He is really great. I'd love to meet him!

  • One of my faves too.

  • Absolutely one of my favorite directors. I love the way he tells a story.

  • He is one of the greatest directors

  • the greatest
