  • I really love this song. I always love hearing it.

  • Whenever I can I whistle. Often I whistle video game music. Whistling this is hard to attempt without so many instruments.

  • @RegameStarsword

Dude. I do the same thing. EVERYDAY. I love whistling Facies Templum the best. I don't care if people look, im just whistling my favorite tunes from games.

  • this song gave me a nostalgia feel

  • @a1chrisryan1a

This video tends to have that effect

  • Reminds me of the last song in Once Upon a Forest a bit.

  • @CheatsythePimp2

Interesting. Tell me about it, I want to know more.

  • @mrluisalonzo

    Paste this with youtube "watch?v=Qs1rTn81ODQ"

  • @CheatsythePimp2

I see the resemblance when the London children choir is singing. The song is pretty sweet and touching.

  • @mrluisalonzo

    Exactly.

  • so soothing... :3

  • @stoneshatter12 no you are not i have it in mint condition.

  • To get the "special" ending in Link's Awakening you can't continue after dieing. If you die but instead of continuing playing you just turn off the console and restart from your last save, then you can still get the ending.

As for what the special ending is, I'd prefer you see it for yourself. The Gameboy Color ending is a little bit different from the original black & white gameboy version.

Also, be sure to check the "kaze no sakana" version of this song, and please, read the manga.

  • @gjeldrez

Oh really? I didn't know that you could still get the special ending by dying! Wow, my three runs of Link's Awakening have been no death runs when I could've taken a breather...

I love the Kaze no Sakana version of this song! It is an actual lyrical song, which is what the Ballad is supposed to be, sung by a female so we can imagine Marin singing, and is pure bliss! Do you know where we can get the lyrics for it, both english and japanese?

  • @mrluisalonzo No idea where to get the lyrics, all I know is the author's name is Dong Yarhalla (he's japanese).

  • love it, makes me feel all emotional :3

  • the ending I say

Link dreamed with a real place

cause koholint it's better than hyrule

    that why people don't disliked

KOHOLINT AGAIN FOR 3DS please nintendo ='D

  • Where can I get an MP3 of the guitar part? T_T

  • @rmdavi06

Alak is a Norwegian artist who covers Zelda music. He produced more then this song, so I'm going to place in the description a website with all his Zelda songs. Some include Gerudo Valley, Dragon Roost Island, Wind Mill Hut, Song of Time, and our beloved Ballad of the Wind Fish. Check it out

  • @mrluisalonzo Thank you! :D

  • I cruied at the end when Marin turned into a seagull.

    She got her wish....

  • @OmegaMetroidX

I really want to get that ending!!! Maybe I will soon...

  • @mrluisalonzo That is one tricky ending to get. All you have to do is not die throughout the game, and it's fairly easy to die, making that ending very challenging to get. Good luck though!

  • @OmegaX5000 I'm working on my 3rd file with that currently.... done it twice, can do it again.... it's a LOT harder to not die on the Oracle games.... especially during the Master Quests.

  • @yamibalus

Actually, I beat this game for the 3rd time a week or two ago. I finished it twice on DX ver. and then did it on the original. It's a little harder on the original, but once you beat it twice before, you already know all the nooks and cranies :)

Oracle games have a Master's Quest? that is so cool!

  • @mrluisalonzo how do you get that ending?

  • @Copycat642

LA? To get the secret ending, you have to beat the game without losing a life. It's hard in the beginning, but once you get 5-6 hearts, it's a matter of preserverence and commitment.

  • @mrluisalonzo I do hope Marin and the Windfish show up in Skyward Sword as maybe the result of a sidequest line.

  • Long life to marin

  • @delamar1994

I hope so as well. She was a greatly developed character.

  • I have a sad. You have a subscriber.

  • @pontyfaxjr

Excellent! Now if only I can get started with number 6...

  • Brooooooooo, this song brings me back so good memmories... This is actually the 1st gave I have finished when I was like 10 and I guess that says most of my feelings about it. (TnT)i

  • I like the background picture. It looks good

  • i like the guitar part :3

  • @luhallfrisch

its a beautiful composition, isn't it?

  • @pokefreak313

    its the eyes O_O

  • Malon? Right Side?

I Only Played OoT, Majora Twilight,WindWaker, What Are The Other Games?

  • @Waffles250

Well, that's actually Marin on the right. She's a character that appeared in the Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. She's a great character.

All the other games are: The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II The Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Four Swords, Minish Cap, Four Swords Adventures, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword (coming out) and other misc. games like Smash Bros. etc. Hope that answers your question.

  • @mrluisalonzo learn something new every day, thanks i have smash brothers getting skyward, im planning to complete all LoZ games 100% i already did with my previous ones

  • @Waffles250 majora twilight?

its majoras mask incase you didnt know

  • @windscar62 buddy i completed all of the listed 100% i kknow the names, i just forgot the ","

  • @Waffles250 that's Marin. Malon was based off of Marin. and Malon's father Talon, was based off of Marin's father Tarin.

  • @ImSuchAPedo lolwat

  • @shadowincvides yes. it's true. nintendo said it themselves.

  • am i the only one who remembers this game by heart??

  • @stoneshatter12

If you mean every line spoken at every point in the game, then yeah, you are :)

  • @stoneshatter12 No...I still remember it.

  • @PicoriElder xD my personal favorite dungeon would have been catfish maw xD fuckin loved the hookshot-thingy

  • @stoneshatter12

My favorite dungeon has to Face Shrine. It's position in the plot, the music, everything about the dungeon fits perfectly and it always moves me near tears :'(

  • @stoneshatter12 Oh you definitely are NOT. This game and Pokemon Blue were my childhood... I remember when I got my first perfect file in Link's Awakening DX.... all pictures, all Secret Seashells, no deaths.... yeahhhhh

  • @stoneshatter12 No, no, you're not the only one! <3

  • @stoneshatter12 Trust me, youre not the only one. I remember this game fondly.

  • Thumbs up if you tried to play this in OoT.

  • Even if it's only 8-bit song but I consider it as one of my fav song from Zelda Games :)

  • @DANEGRMAN

You know, the original Super Mario Bros. Theme is an 8-bit song, but it is also the most recognizable theme in the history of video games. Ballad of the Wind Fish is my favorite song because its so powerful for such a simple song. Plenty of emotions go through you while listening to this song.

  • indeed, this song does make feel really sad and nostalgic, I would even cry under certain circumstances.

ja, dieser Song macht sich wirklich traurig und nostalgisch, würde ich unter Umständen sogar weinen.

    google language tools FTW

  • ich heul jetzt noch wenn ich diese melodie höre... ach die gute alte zeit...

  • I'm listening to the guitar version of this song while at the same time it's thundering outside my window ... It makes the experience of the song so much better.

However, I am going to kick whoever played the Song of Storms in the arse for ruining what started as a completely fine, summer day in my hometown!

  • Does this have the same chord progession as the theme from The Terminator?? Hmmm I'mma check.. haha those songs are so awesome

  • Link's awakening was the best zelda in storyline!

  • sounds like an ice area to me

  • @DemonKingHiro

That's the beauty of video game songs, it can be crafted to portray any emotion. I love this song as well. It is possibly my favorite song ever!!!

  • Agreed!!! Nintendo loves ripping the hearts out of its fans.

  • T^T nintendo failed... why did they make you meet this really awesome chick who sings a beautiful song AND MAKE IT A GODDAMN FUCKING DREAM?!!!!!!!!! >:(

  • @pkslider725

If you beat the same without dying a single time marin gets her wings and is spared.

  • @GeekerDays ooh i wanna try that now! ^w^ thanx for the tip!

  • i'm confusedhow did link dream all this on a piece of draft wood in the middle of the ocean????????????

  • @RemyCatMan2

As you know, In the beginning Link was traveling on a boat and it crashed. he fell unconscious during the lightning strike and this coincided with the wind fish's eternal slumber. In subtle symbols, the wind fish was guiding Link on how to awaken from the dream, as he entered the wind fish's eternal slumber as well. When he woke up, he was still at the wreckage and realized everything he(you) had done was a dream

  • @RemyCatMan2 The story is probably more of he was sucked into the wind fishes dream during the storm when he was knocked unconscious and the wind fish kept him safe in order to free the wind fish from it's nightmare

  • @DemonicGhostwithin

The story can be interpreted in any way we like. After all, Link is silent and not telling us the details, and his name is "Link" after all. We all have slightly different outlooks on the plot, because we all see from Link's perspective in very unique ways.

  • omg love it!! >:] im stealing this video as we speak!!! hahahahaha!!! >:]

  • whats the source of the image?^^

  • @incko1

It's been edited in the description.

  • @mrluisalonzo

    thxn!

  • 1:26 WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • @ewcert333

That's just Alak's guitar interpretation of Ballad of the Wind Fish starting. It's very beautiful and is exactly the way I envision the song.

  • wtf?
