there was this one thrasher cover with blender on it.. up close holding one of his dolls I remember,...... more than any other skater to ME.. he was like kinda the "law" of skateboarding...big guy
Blender and other old school skaters with style are so fun to watch because they were having fun doing it. They weren't trying to one-up everyone in a game of S-K-A-T-E with technical switch foot laser flip to nose manual to darkslide garbage. Living legends like Neil and Vallely are both crazy stylish and always have been, because they skated to have fun, not put points up on a board.
This guy could be skating a parking curb for an hour and I'd be entertained the whole time. At the risk of being "the old guy," I really do think the current generation of street skaters could learn a lot by watching Blender. It's hard to imagine that with all the crazy, impossibly difficult tricks in today's videos, they're still just damn boring half the time. And I blame that on this robotic trick-based format, rather than pure skateboarding.
wow al these years later and he is still one of the most solid skaters out there, nothing he does ever looks sketchy and always so stylin and creative. looks like he still enjoys his skating. a true skate god...

ATTENTION ALL SKATERS!!
1.) GO OUT AND BUY A SHIT LOAD OF SMALL STICKERS WITH THE LETTER "G" ON THEM (you can get them at home depot)
2.)WHEN YOU SEE A SIGN THAT SAYS "NO SKATEBOARDING", PUT THE G STICKER OVER THE "N" SO IT SAYS "GO SKATEBOARDING"
3.) REPOST THIS ON AS MANY VIDEOS AS YOU CAN SO PEOPLE GET THE IDEA

@boloby quality vs. quality type of thing. naturally if you have way more skateboarders there's gonna be way less evolutionaries

As said above - Neil is one of my Favorite Skaters. I like that little move he does 5sec into the video. It's stuff like that that make Neil -Neil!
Or the Garage scene - from Ban This... :)
