Like you're updated version w/swing and love the sound of a woman's voice included with the variety of instruments. It must be fun to sit around and jam like that.
I really, really liked this. The picking reminds me just a bit of Aerosmith's 'One Way Street', but there's also a nice, "folksy" feel that takes the song back to its roots. I could see some folks in an old time Appalachian mining town getting together and performing a version very similar to this. Nicely done!
I've just watched/listened to quite a few versions of "16 Tons", starting with the original; this one is the first 'reinterpreted' version that I've actually liked.
I think the style works well, but I can barely hear the vocals (except Mary Beth's uncredited backing vocals, which are rather good and actually audible). I don't know if you have the equipment (or time) to do this, but I'd love to hear this with the vocals a lot clearer.

Sounds good. I think Ernie Ford would be proud.

Nice rendition. I do it a little differently. It is good to hear it done this way.

not bad at all even if it sounds more like minnie the moocher and less like 16 tons but it`s still a great version.

16 tons is a personal favourite and this "interpretation" does it "justice".

Getting better and better towards the end, although mandolin and harp seems a little bit out of tune.
But the spirit, atmosphere, the groove is excellent!

Well, now you have at least 2 bass players and a huge fan - ME!
Great job....great vocals too! A nicely balanced sound (the bass could be a little louder). Thanx gang and keep posting please?
