Great care was taken to be sure the bugs weren't actually harmed. A representative from the local SPCA was present to monitor them. In nature, they like to crowd into warm, dark, moist places, so the inside of my mouth wasn't that bad for them.

That said, I wouldn't want to be on the inside of my mouth either.
