@rcanal21 Yeah me too but I couldn't for the life of me remember what the hell it was called. I just googled "kid ufo beach boys" lol, cos I remember he got to fly the ufo and they were playing the beach boys.
I always hated that little brother of his he was such a nerd and a creepy little freak but I had a crush on the main star <3 but back then I was the same age I guess I was a nerd too.
@MsAmbrosia29 Unfortunately the main star,Joey Cramer, was recently arrested for credit card fraud and may be in jail. Looked messed up on drugs in mugshot you can find. And the little brother played by Albie Whitaker only did this movie as a kid and went on to earn a degree in Finance and Business and then an MBA from Emory and is now a big shot successful businessman at some major corporation you can find on Linkedin. Just a little tid bit for ya.
@KSW725 maybe got down about not makin it big and went to weird extreme lengths to try get rich show biz ruins some already unstable minds , you have to be so laid back in that career else u live with bitter feelings after , dunno if it was in his case but it does happens x
nice that this is actually the movie and not some dumb screen saying "youtube wont let me upload this movie, go to this crappy link" man I hate those.
I want to drive around in a early 80's car and play this theme song over and over.. I wonder if kids of the 90's will have the same attachment to movies as us 80's kid do? I don't think so.. they just don't make these type of movies anymore really? Except perhaps movies like "The Sandlot" and such..
This is one of my favourite movies of all-time. I enjoyed it so much when I watched it in 1988. The initial Frisbee shot is the most surprising scene in this movie. When I saw this movie for the first time, I got almost fooled into thinking that it was an UFO.
Guys, I just found this "Flight of the Navigator: Modern Trailer" here in YT made by some talented fan. Absolutely brilliant editing work! Makes you want to watch the movie again.
@marmik961 Tangentally. I had seen this film when I was a kid and thought it was brilliant. Used to be one of my favourite films. I watched the nostalgia critic underrated classic review, totally agreed with flight of the navigator being on there, realised I hadn;t seen the film in a while...so...here I am....I have it on vhs somewhere but I am also now downloading it also. So thank you nostalgia critic! I hope you agree with his assessment of the film as well.
@phillyspartanfan haha same here, I've always lived in England, and before I visited the states I desperately wanted to live in their lives, in the places they lived in this movie. Kickass tune.
@shadyMrPatch I don't live in Lauderdale, I been their and lived near there for a temporary amount of time. A decade to be truly missed for so many reasons. This movie was excellent for us 80s children:) I hope that kids of today's generation get to see this film.

@bengativo6 It's so amazing how much more full of life TV was back in those great years of that decade--this movie along with so many others makes me want to just go back in time---The Neverending Story, E.T., etc. I almost feel sorry for today's kids--the times are just so different nowadays. @briarboy79 you would be like my youngest brother who is also 32 .are you 32 ?because u use the 79 term my brother uses that too actually he turns 32 this year .lol.i remeber my ugly sister playing madonna ,cindy lauper, duran duran ,vinyl music ,and doing the aerobics ,and ,us watching movies such as this one ,terminator cobra ,blade runner, poltergeist all those 80's moments oh and saturday mourning cartoons, you couldnt miss it ever, and on the evening pee wee s herman show ,xd
@bengativo6 yep I turned 32 this past January 3--high school class of 1997.... It's funny hearing the movies you mentioned as we saw all those too when they were first released on cable around that time in the late 80s...some others me and my brothers watched were "Just One of The Guys", "April Fool's Day", all the 80s slasher films, etc...hahahaha It's incredible how many memorable films Hollywood churned out in the 1980s--me and my older brothers (me-32, 34, and 36 respectively) saw so many.
@briarboy79 ...yeah for class of '97! growing up in the 80s and 90s were the best time for movies, music, tv, toys and cartoons...Disney don't make good films like this anymore.in fact no one makes good films like the ones from the 80s and 90s!
I hear that. I first watched this back in 1991. The woods scene and the scene when he first approaches the ship in the hangar still raises the hair on my back lol
They just don't make quality movies like this anymore. For kids or adults. What happened to all the originality of the 80s? Everything we have now are just remakes from the 80s and some movies and tv shows further back. Where did the creative spark go?
I love how the mom sends one boy,(12 years old?) after the other who is 8 walking home alone. I grew up like this as well. It's a shame kids these days dont get the chance. This would never happen now, nor be allowed to be in a movie now. Kids get chauffered home after dark, or even during the day....at any age, let alone 8. This is back when communities, and parents, were more sensible.
i grew up with this movie and still love it to pecies. i have it recorded on a vhs, but because the vhs is older, the video always skips out and has to be played in specific VCR's to get through it. so thanks for uploading it, i really appreciate it! :D <3
This is the best movie ever!We saw it and had pizza in class today for valentines party :D I remember a somewhat adventure like this one day with my best friend.

The dog-frisbee opening is a stroke of genius. Who came up with that? Really nice sleight of hand for UFOs.....

i grew up with this movie and still love it to pecies. i have it recorded on a vhs, but because the vhs is older, the video always skips out and has to be played in specific VCR's to get through it. so thanks for uploading it, i really appreciate it! :D <3
