Driving through Sovetskaya Street (Novosibirsk) on my MTB

it occurred to me that the strength of the USA is that they will absolutely not allow you to ride a MTB against the flow of traffic on a one-way street. A very developed sense of law and order they have over there....

@bonsema1, as for me - it's not strength but weakness and unnecessary restrictions. And it wasn't against the flow.

Откровенно говоря, смотрел с содраганием сердца! У самого горный байк и гоняю в Германии, но здесь не такой экстим как в Н-ске:))) Кругом ты король и дорожки для велосипедистов только увеличивают. Мой респект, ВАм! Будьбе всё же внимательны, если честно,

это всё же опасно!

Да, опасно, но ко всему привыкаешь, тем более когда ничего другого не видел) У нас о велодорожках можно только грезить.

В этом и есть разница нашего менталитета:(( Здесь все орг. общества, причём небольшие сами влияют на политику горсоветов. Сами решают, куда идут деньги. Короче поднимать волну нужно, причём конечно следует её организовать!

Здесь место отвоёвывают у дорог! Если не желаешь торчать в пробках езжай сам на велосипеде:)) Конечно, уровень выхлопных газов здесь несравнимо меньший??? Стоишь рядом с грузовым транспрортом и чуть только чувствуешь газы .. Сам и зимой гонял на веловипеде в Новосибе

Cool.I look at Google earth and see the Circus and Cathedral near улица Гоголяю(I think I spelled that correctly).There is a live Web cam that broadcasts on line across Krasney Prospect from The Opera Theater.One can see a few parking spaces and a small display case that lights up at night.A few weeks back there was some kind a show happening,with seats and barracades.Some day I would like to be there in person,until then Thanks for the Post.Спасибо

Thanks for the tour. I enjoyed the ride. Im a cycling fool here in Vermont (Both MTB and Road). I am slowly teaching myself Russian and in the process become entranced with Novosibirsk.I have begun to familiarize myself with it from afar. I was wondering which direction you were traveling?
