why do soo many people ask the same question: How long will this take to learn? If you truely love the piece, time should not matter. EVryone is different, diff techniques, abilities, and hours practicing, My advice, if u truely want to play this piece, then go after it. There are plenty of tutorials on Ytube, only a few r good.  Look for the ones who show u how the play the rhythm in 12's, very slowly. you learn the entire piece w hands 2gether, from the start. minus learning the notes

And yes, this piece (although it's hard for me to think of it as hard after 10 years of playing) is definitely for those with experience - but if this is really a passion for you, you should be able to play it fairly well if you follow my advice -

1. Each hand separately until you can play each one fast WITHOUT ERRORS

2. Using the metronome, play each hand, then the other, for times (right, left, right, left...), then try to play a half a measure together. Continue for the rest of the piece. GL!

Word to the wise:

YOU MUST LEARN EACH HAND SEPARATELY. IT CANNOT BE DONE AT THE SAME TIME FROM THE START.

That being said, this piece is all about preciseness, not artistic creativity - the composer did that all for you. If you get the notes and rythym, you'll be fine. GL to anyone wishing to play this piece.

I m sure you never touched a piano.... This piece is usually for advanced piano player. You need many years in order to be an advanced player. For an advanced player, 2/5 months is sometimes enough. Piano is not only technic, it's also about feeling. But in fact, we definitly can't answer the question. The time depends on a lot of criteria... But 2 months is impossible to play the peace perfectly. Except if you are a genius.

Did you mean me when you said "I'm sure you've never touched a piano"? I've been playing for about 10 years. I don't have lessons anymore but I did up until about 3 or 4 years ago. I've tried playing this piece but I make sooo many mistakes, I don't know how I'll ever be able to play it well! I've been practicing it for months-but not everyday. Anyway thanks for the advice!

Really depends on your own capacity. It depends on the hours per week you spend. But this piece is for advanced/expert players. According to my own experience, I think a normal player can play it after 8/10 years of piano practicing. But it really depends on your capacity and the time you spend in this work. Yes, this piece is just difficult. That the reason why lessons by a good teacher are important to acquire more dexterity and technic. If you practice alone it's (much) more difficult, just be patient and keep it up. One day we will see your video on youtube! Regards
