Forget all spamers bellow, and go to unlocker-iphone. com they will give you support and everything, you can ask them question's like I did before buying unlocking software, to see that they are real not scam, if you are interested in real software and not wasting your money like I did. I have wasted over 40$ on these false advertising before finding right one. Just check it out. It will cost you nothing to check it out. Sorry for low english :)

This only works for iPhone 4's that are on baseband 01.59.00, if you aren't on that baseband you cannot use this method to unlock.

@thedumbestsmartguy You should be able to if Virgin has sim cards. Back when I had my first Virgin Mobile pay as you go I don't remember there being a sim. But yes Rogers has much better coverage.

@jhc28 Ok there are a lot of questions here, I'll try to answer them. From what I've heard there is a way to get to the home screen without using a sim card and that is by downloading software called redsn0w. Turning off 3G before jailbreaking is only for T-mobile users, I didn't have to do it for Rogers. Unlocking using Ultrasn0w means you can pop in most unsupported sim cards and you will have service. You should be able to use the phone most places around the world. Hope that helps.

@kingjames720 I'm not entirely sure because I'm from Canada and don't know too much about US carriers but I think not because Verizon is a CDMA network. Except Apple's contract with AT&T is ending shortly and there is a rumour that in January the iPhone will be switching to CDMA for Verizon.

@EricVerdolaga80 Yep all of your apps, music, and other content will still be on your device. There was a problem with FaceTime and MMS but all you have to do is update cydia which it will give you a notification to anyway. I have had no problems. Good luck :)
