Many estimates run far higher than $450 billion (some being close to $1 trillion), since they include soldiers' regular pay and other related defence spending in their figures. Maybe you should clarify and back up what you write in future?
My mistake - 3 statistics. The numbers of US citizens killed each year by international terrorism are readily available from State Department statistics. There you'll see that in the past ten years, aside from the obviously tragic anomaly of 2001, figures range from 9 to 35, only a couple of times going above 25.
