when I first heard this song I thought it was inspired by a woman, maybe his girlfriend. bt he said on his website it was for his father who died last year after a long time trying to fight alcoholism and depression. he said he barely can listen to this song cause it affects too much, and that he doesn't now how he will perform it live.
