anyway to address your points the employers are responsible to some extent, however the ridiculous 'equal' opportunities laws mean they can't favour local workers or even people who speak scottish. employers tend to look for the cheapest options, thats the way capitalism works.

And in the rare cases they do the offsrping do not survive because they have neither of the specialist skills of their forebears. (No pun intended). On a more localised note the red squirrel, native to Scotland, is dying out due to an influx of grey squirrels, this is just one example of non-native species damaging ecosystems
