This is exactly what the Washington propaganda did to the average American during the cold war. Closed his eyes and made him fear the unknown. And even though it's twenty years today since the Soviet Union started to collapse - taking communism down the drain with it - so deep is the fear of Russian planted in the mind of American citizen that the facts are left with no value.
Russia is one of the most capitalist countries in the world in 2011.
weak argument [6:10] Pasteur's Germ theory: yea it is a theory. again all politics read this amazon.com/Rethinking-Pasteurs-Germ-Theory-Maintain/dp/1583940510 Germ theory is incorrect; you're saying that the primitives who live in mud and dirt should be getting sick and diseased, but read Price's Nutritional and physical degeneration and see they are disease free. you get sick cuz of an unhealthy body from toxins that makes it easy for germs to prey on, not simply cuz of exposure.

In your MOST IMPORTANT VIDEO YOU'LL SEE, the dr said "the biggest problems are the solutions". Medicine was a "solution" altho rife with problems. The body heals itself with proper foods. I doubt such old wisdom gets thru to ppl with such faith in our modern sciences.
some weak points in your video. I mean i know you're not trained in all these different areas, but I question how much you know about corporate politics. If an organization puts forth that there is climate change, does it mean all their members agree? Does it even mean a majority agree or does it mean the heads of the orgs who hold the power dictate that. I think way too much faith ppl put in these scientists who actually play along with corp/govt agenda lest they be cut off from funding.
The scientists have to analyze the data and that is called STATISTICS...quite a complicated, boring subject and a subject that can prove literally anything depending on (mis)analysis. Misanalysis of data is rampant (especially in the medical/health fields) and you can't depend on the peer review system because it's been corrupted by gov't funding. The way science is run since the peer review system was put in place and the govt got in its involvement hasn't been good science.
@mavrick1992 "I would like to know how you can do that" - you might, say, use Google. Type in "climategate debunked" and read the article at the top. Hard work, I know.
@KillahMate right because since people not only can post whatever they want to post on the internet. wicked dog "Why don't you go live someplace with no government? ""
I have been asking that for a long time myself. And i hear there is a place with no government... and did you know that is also the only place in the world where people really care about each other and really loved each other. And i vow, when i find this place i will never harm a living being again in my life.
It was an emotion appeal. Remember less facts more emotion equals more action. If they really cared about solving this "problem" they wouldn't try to stop things like CO2 scrubbers from ever getting off the ground.
What? I asked you what you think the most important problem is facing the human race. If everyone was going to work together to solve one problem, what would you pick?
I want the government to get out because if it did what people like Gore wanted it would creat many more problems, eat most of the money up and do little to solve your "problem". Your solution is some sort of massive government or some fascist system.
The government job is to enforce the rule of law and protect the nation from other nation. The biggest problem facing us now is big government that seeks to rule us. My libertarian type government would solve alot of the problem facing the third world.
I guess the you never heard of how the aqueducts of old were funded or ever heard of state rights or limited government.
I hear Somalia is really nice, no government there.
I think that no one should be allowed to own land. Wills should be illegal. The most money anyone can ever have is 10 million dollars. No guns, no religion, and all drugs should be legal.
Small government, the type that stop the criminal from just killing everyone but otherwise let them do as they please. not Sharia law or anarchy. PS your system is a dream, human nature would cause it to fail and war lords would be around within the first month. I believe that everyone has the right to screw up your life if you want so I am OK with the drug part.
I love you!! You're hilarious. I'd just sent a message to you thanking you for your videos, when I discovered these. Absolute quality, I haven't got time to watch to the end right now but it's going on my to do list. Better than anything they show on TV. Your wit could kill!
Dude many people care more about higher taxes than the survival of the human race. Gas prices are up? Oh god it is the end of the world! UGH they forgot to give me ketchup for my fries! Sea levels rising? How the hell does that affect me?
You do know Alarmist outspend skeptics. Then you get all this junk science from alarmist since they might as well control the media. It nature that is warming the climate and we only have a slight impact. Nature has water vapor(most of the GHG effect), the sun, and more CO2(like 95% of all CO2). Then you have to go into what are the agendas of the people pushing it, the politics people are using and what they plan to do about it. AGW has agendas and the rest of us are sick of AGW.
Most people don't know that earth magnetic field has weaken about 10 percent over the last 100 or so years. Please tell me how does that go into your computer models?
If you are suggesting that global climate change is due to the weakening of the magnetic field I still believe that we should do something about it because my interest is in not dying rather than what's killing me.
Also, I don't have any computer models I am not a climatologist and I have to trust people that are experts in the field.
Most of AGW problems can and will happen with warming, cooling or more of the same. So you still could be killed by those problems along with a long list of other causes.
You could live like they do in the third world or give all your property to the government. Here is the best final sulution that comes form environmentalist kill "the cancer" humanity. Their more sulution like a one world government or fascism and yes they are willing to use these ideas.
I bet most of these cynics and skeptics are all people living the American dream in their middle ages. Their Bottom line: it's not our problem. We'll be long dead by then!
You're right! My parents say this, and it really pisses me off! I ask them whether or not they give a shit about my life, and they say, "of course." I then ask them why they don't care about gloabal warming. I still have not gotten an answer!
Actually, he is a cynic. Quote "Screw the planet, save ourselves!" He even admits in a video that even if he fails to solve the problem, he'll feel good about the fact that he did everything he can to convince other people. So, really he's giving me the message that to help stop global climate destabilization, the only big enough impact that we can make is to pass on the manic responsibility. We're spreading panic and attracting skeptics. We're all gonna die and there's no point denying it.
"I bet most of these cynics and skeptics are all people living the American dream in their middle ages. Their Bottom line: it's not our problem. We'll be long dead by then!"
I'm not sure if it's most, but I'm pretty certain that those types make up a significant portion.
The truth is (and I know because I've talked to such people), some people just don't care. I've talked to parents who admitted flat out that they don't care about the environment their children will face in the future.
I think a lot of the denial stems from that feeling that you and I are expected to do while big buisness, government etc are not. e.g. car usage, why keep taxing the billio out of fuel when any government could turn round tomorrow and say no cars with engines larger than 1 litre, we still have a car we still get to use it only its more efficient. Car companies suggest we should have choice, Henry Ford says you can have any colour as long as its black..hmmmm
lol...but isn't it funner to stay alive? it would be selfish to let the train hit you..whY? because you arent the one who is going to have to scrape your blood, guts and marrow from the tracks....
I have watched you videos more then once but never made it this far, that was hilarious, some of the comments given to you were scary and make my brain hurt, but your responses were clever, witty and as far as i can tell legit (not that i am qualified to assign legitimacy).
It's hard to give a specific answer to such a general question, but as a general statement: Already existing organizations and individuals who get together for this cause specifically can gather and spread information, organize and rally boycotts, etc., but I can't possibly know any and all the ways to get results in this or any other matter. But if any company suddenly lost a significant portion of it's customers and business, it would certainly notice and try to do something about it.
"Already existing organizations and individuals who get together for this cause specifically can gather and spread information, organize and rally boycotts, etc.,"
And would that be enough; would it be done soon enough to prevent irreversible catastrophic global climate change within the next century or two?
time ca 08:15 "Look, we already tried Laissez-Fair and it didn't work. Everyone agreed that it sucked."

Time ca 08:15 "Look, we already tried Laissez-Fair and it didn't work. Everyone agreed that it sucked."
I was so impressed by the amount of research and vigilance in ridding yourself of unconscious bias - then you say something like this (and go on and on with issues not of science but political philosophy and it's so clear that you haven't been nearly as vigilant in that field) (continued)
Your doing a great service for us all... haha your like the sifter that sifting out the skeptics and your are now left with the plain ol "noone can change my mind.." just watch out....i'm sure the presidential cabinet is in there somewhere..
Debates are useless if you don't bring the right points to debate. 1) Humans release CO3 with technology which does break down into Co2 and O and O3. 2) Free Co2 does not mix with the "green House Gas' Co2 that is always .036% by volume of the 2% by volume of the Air's 69% Nitrogen,24% oxygen, and 2% "green House" 3) Even in the "Green House" mixture CO2 is a refrigerant that keeps the water vapor component from asorbing to much heat and brioling us
4) Co2 is the most common form of free carbon in the world and usually collects in the Oceans and is 5x heavier then "Air" and never joins the "Green House" gas that is evenly distributed throughout the Air and allows the Air to absorb Heat whether by sun or the room's heater. 5)Some free Co2 rides up with water vapor during cloud formation and heating of the Oceans but this is cycled and what is feeding the world's plants...but it doesn't magically stay there or magically asorb more heat
1) CO3 is not a chemically stable compound. When you burn carbon (coal is pure carbon, oil has hydrocarbons in it), you combine it with O2. C+O2 = CO2.
2) CO2 concentration has changed in just the last 30 years. See the Keeling graph.
You also seem to think that "greenhouse gas" is a special gas, instead of a classification of other gases (H2O, CO2, CH4).
3) Totally incorrect. The greenhouse effect traps radiative heat. This has been established for centuries.
Green house gas is 1% water vapor with trace ammounts of methane,03,nitrous oxide, with mixed in Co2 ALWAYS BEING .036%!!!. (total 2% of "Air" by Volume) And besides the fact that it works as "blanket effect" and not a "Oven", my point was that Inert Co2 DOES NOT contribute to the "Green House" Blanket which is why Human released CO2 is Tree Hugger misinformed bullshit. We should take measures to stop wasting resources like CO2 though
pfft. Human released CO2 contributing to the "green house gas" blanket is tree hugger bullshit as Human released CO2 is inert and can't mix into the "Green House Blanket" whos co2 value is always .036% by volume "blended" into the "green House gas" which is "blended" into the "Air" which is 69%Nitrogen,24%Oxygen,and 2%Other. Inert Co2 that humans release is to fucken heavy to blend into "Air" and falls ino the Ocean not Joins the4 Air magically and make it hotter.

TheRealArchAngel 4 years ago

I thought that I was the only one that uses the words "tragedy of the Commons" while speaking and not writing a paper for class.

Don't worry, I'm another "tragedy of the commons" colloquialist.
PS. I think that's the first time I've used "colloquialist" in a colloquial way :-D

Anyone who uses the idea of "Tragedy of the Commons" is way cool in my book
