  • when tying the foam body on instead of going from one segment to the next go under the foam then to the next segment makes the body look nicer

  • Very nice hopper. What size and type of hook did you use?

  • deffinetely the easiest best looking grasshopper patter ive seen so far!

  • Very nice hopper mate! Really enjoyed this video! I will definitely tie and try one of those!

  • Hi, nice hopper, will have to give it a go, I would Just love to have a pair of those scissors, but I bet they are very expensive, nice video, thanks for sharing, Regards Alan from the UK

  • Good fly. My issue with it though is that there is really nothing keeping it in place on the hook. The slightest disturbance is going to roll the body.

  • @dpatch777 Thanks for the feedback. Actually, the super-glue does a pretty good job at securing the foam to the thread base on the hook. Plus, when you apply the thread wraps, it ends up "pinching" the foam around the hook a bit more which also gives it more surface area to bite. You might have missed the glue step, as it was pretty quick.

  • i hate when I'm all one with the fly and and I'm triming the some stuff and I cut one leg super short. it's really annoying.
