  • Is there a 808-like sound ? I would like to use this module and the snare to add some bass drops during my live shows ? Thx to reply

  • @stickypinapple yes u can add a Tom or cymbal in the kick tower input

  • I'm buying the standard edition... I'm curious to if its possible to add any cymbals or toms? If anyone has an answer that would be great!

  • what i didnt like was the fact u didnt go over one of my major reasons for buying the kit and that was that i can record my self with that brain and play back over it or with the Aux input u could plug in a ipod and play along with your favorite music

  • I want a td4 ...but beinga poor atlanta boy I think ill get one of these...question though...how many pads can you add to it?

  • I think it boils down to individual preferences the roland td4kxs is good but i personally cant stand mesh pads i feel rubber pads are better for rebound i just love the overall feel of the kit and the brain is very user friendly.

  • suck to you all mine is on lay buy

  • how many kits are already installed and can you add another cymbal

  • this is so very well explained!! ive seen roland td4 reviews and i still have doubts

  • @sickbo121 get another brain n hook them together somehow

  • what are u using to record the sound from the module?

    PC / Mac

    Programs?

  • ma fai cagare!

  • what price diff with DTXPLORER 1 and DTXPLORER 3 & 4?

  • are the tom triggers single zone triggers and can you use mesh heads pads with this unit?

  • can you add cymabls to this?

  • @guitarshredda2 yes you can add 1 single zone cymbal. at the back of the bas-drum you can put a extra pad all pads you want. but only single zone. on the madual you can sellect the sound you want for your pad.

  • @siebren92 OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU!! I LOVE YOU!!! i can play it nao...THANK YOU

  • I have a question I live in an appartment and have a roomate wil my roomate hear me playing with headphones on in my room

  • @Tyty307 not really unless u hit the pads hard but yea i have it and no one has complained unless u hook up some speakers like i did lol

  • There's something I hate about the sounds : The toms seems to be the same sample tuned lower and lower and the snare sound kinda like plastic.

  • lol.Sorry, my English sucks.

Hmm, ok. TD4 vs Dtxpress IV standard. (only major advantages and disadvantages)

    TD4

    -advantages

Mesh head snare, IMHO very sensitive compare to rubber

Great sound right out of the box

    -disadvantages

    Less sound

    2 zone cymbals and snare

expandable up too 1 3-zone trigger input

  • Dtxpress IV standard

    -advantages

    More sound

    More tweaking features

    3 zone snare and cymbals

IMHO, new cymbals have very nice feeling

Expandable up to 4 single zone inputs

    -disadvantages

Sounds very dead and raw (that's why you have to tweak it)

Rubber snare (but it's compatible with mesh head)

  • when you say expandable, do you mean you can add cymbal pads?

  • yup

  • Thank you very much but between those two, what would you choose?

  • Dtxpress IV

  • Thank you! and Beetween the HD-1 and The DTXplorer? :)

  • Definitely Dtxplorer. It's an absoulte knock down for HD-1

Don't get me wrong. I do like vdrum. But only a few of their product worth for the money, like TD4 and TD9.

TD4 and Dtxpress IV is one hell of competition. But for Dtxplorer and HD-1, take Dtxplorer, Hands Down. lol

  • OK thank you very much for everything, you've been realy realy clear! Bye! :D

  • Should I get that or the DTXplorer ?

The DTXplorer is in my budget and the DTXpress IV blows the fuck outta my budget!

  • And what about the TD-4 also?

  • How much is your budget?

Dtxplorer should be compared with HD-1. For that, take Dtxplorer then.

Dtxpress IV is compared to TD4.

Ok, if I have to explained it, it would take too many words, lol. So I'll make it simple.

Dtxpress IV is for user who likes to tweak. TD4 is for the one who likes plug n play.

Good luck with your choice, cheers.

  • Thanks and what about those "too many words" I'm hesitating between both the TD-4 and that one.

  • You mean TD4 and Dtxpress IV, right

  • @Deluxeta if you are beginner DTXplorer and if u are played drums like 2-1 years DTXpress

  • i got it 2 weeks ago from guitar center and it was 1,000 but i bought a double pedal and seat so it was like 1,300

  • "just to show you how much of a bad drummer you are"

    hahahahahaha

    good like...over-all description

i want this set so bad

  • @nickhot218

It probably was his first couple time using it.

  • It sounds pretty good except for the bass drum which sounds a little thin.

  • awesome

  • lol, enjoyed the fine young cannibals reference. typically how much does this kit go for?

  • Do a Google search. I came up with a price of $1,499.99 at Guitar center.

  • the actual kit is £700 but it doesnt come with a bass drum pedal or a stool or speakers but there still amazing
