  • I know you said that I need to get a tone lighter 1-2 lighter, but I only buy the LIGHTEST of the LIGHT foundation and concealer and it's ALWAYS my skin color. What do you recommend? I have "bruising" look under my eyes. I get plenty of sleep...it's just genetic. I hate that people keep telling me how tired I look. :)

  • really? starter kit FROM MAC.. dont know if u realized this, but most STARTERS are not able to be buying mac product. its called drug fucking store

  • to be a makeup artist do you need to have a liscence?

  • Could you make a video on essential eyeshadow colors that aren't only whites/browns/blacks aka can you make a video with essential colors like blue, green, purples? Thanks!

  • hi, question: how long before makeup expired? thank you...

  • Do you purchase foundation in every color and concealer in every color or do you have another trick so that I have a variety for any client

  • You can go to Cinema Secrets and they have a several different concealer/foundation palettes and each palette contains 5 colors of different colored concealers or foundation that you can mix to suite any skin tone for only around 21 dollars for each palette. It's a really good bargain and ideal for makeup artists who can't buy each and every color type.

  • Wow thanks.. I use only Mac and Nars products mostly and I just started with NYX so this is useful info

  • you are great!!!

  • you bet it doesnt't... :(

  • Mmh isn't it a little expensive for people who are starting out in makeup? I mean this is good for people who already buy high end products and don't mind paying these prices.

  • yes that's true

  • This was an awesome video Enkore... I love your vids and appreciate the time that you take to help us out. I am just seriously starting out with makeup and I am trying to get a basic kit together.

  • hi koren i hope you can help me. I purchased everyday mineral makeup not to long ago. When I apply the foundation on my face the foundation would look nice around my cheeks and forehead but my t-zone would be so cakey and dry i tried putting on more moisturizer and i tried spraying mac fix plus on my whole face but it wouldn't work it would still be dried out. It would even look like my face is peeling. (foundation) I don't know what to do. I hope you can help me out and reply to me soon.

  • I had that problem and what i did was put on a jojoba and kiwi mask on and then exfoliated gently with a face towel, moisturised and then i was peel free! Then again, I DONT KNOW WHATS RIGHT FOR YOU! I may be wrong but it worked for me.

  • what is the name of the black eyeliner and where can i find it???? my eyeliner always smudges and that sucks

  • The Traincase Looks so awesome !

How much is it .. ?

    :D

  • $19.95, he said.

  • Hi, I love your videos and they help me a lot. I would ask an idea to save the wipes moistened, coming up hard to keep moist. It would be possible to remove the original package and create a new place for them to remain moistened? You are so creative that I could believe this. Thanks

    ( I´m subscribing from Brazil)

  • Keep them upside down. That way, the liquid will go to the top ones and everytime you use one wipe, it will be moist with the product.

  • Thank you!

  • store them upside down. that way the mositure speads evenly instaed of just sitting on the bottom

  • Hey,

I was just wondering what age should you start wearing makeup? Please answer back thanks <3

  • makeup is pretty much all ages, but depends on your confortability. Some people start at early teens, some in their late 20s and I know some here in their 30s who is just now starting to get confortable with makeup.

  • oh, and where did you get your MAC palette?

  • Comment removed

  • You can an empty 15-pan palette at any MAC freestanding or pro store and I believe they cost around $13 but I wouldn't quote me on that =]

    HTH!

  • are you a MAC makeup artist or something?

  • hi!

iam looking for a cream or foundation palette. can you recomend one? thanks!

    xoxo

  • you can check out camerareadycosmetics dotcom, and look at the palettes from Cinema Secrets or RCMA.

  • thank you so much! i did my first photo shoot on saurday and it was great. i'll make a slide show as soon as i get the edited pictures. i had so much fun! i cant wait to do it again. i was also wondering if you could make a video on how you would clean your brush's on set. like a quick clean, but still sanitary. iam sure theres a way to not bring a butt load of brushs woth you...

  • hi koren! so today i am going to buy my first official makeup kit. i am on a budget, so unfortunetly i am going to walmart. kind of embarressing :( well i was wondering what i should get there, that would be just as good. i am 13 so my mom doesnt want anything major. thanks for ur help!

  • whats a good conceler for sun spots??? :D

  • any full-cover concealer should be good in covering sun spot. Try MAC Studio Finish concealer, Ben Nye Coverette, Ben Nye Tattoo Cover, Eve Pearl Concealer. Those gives you great full-coverage.

  • thanks this video really helped me though

  • Koren, this is awesome!!! I'm totally taking notes! This is great--I totally was feeling lost as to what to do with makeup. For about 3 weeks now I've just been messing around with it and I have an idea. I have no MAC store around here, but I'm going to save up starting now so when I go to Chicago I can go to the MAC store!

  • can you put all the items you talk about in this video in the discription box. instead of just the eyeshadows. please?

  • He is a makeup artist and a great, great teacher! That is all that matters!!! :)

  • He is a makeup artist. ENOUGH SAID. He is one of the best people on here.

  • why does it matter.

  • He is a makeup artist. It's rude to ask about a person's sexuality like that--especially when it's based on a stereotype.

  • Love Love Love this video. Ima a college student and you have inspired me a great deal with make up. thanks for my new starter kit..off to Mac =]

  • ChristinaLovesSushi, he said it correctly, as Naked Lunch. Love your videos, Koren!!

  • can you do a starter kit, with all like drugstore makeup? cause mac iss sooo expensive! im using allowence to start my kit, so could you do a cheaper starter kit PLEASSEE!!?? lol!

  • If you just walk through your drug store you'll find a lot. Just look through carefully and see what you find.

  • well you know mac will help you find your shade by the time you keep buying and get it down to a science everything that is as good as expensive name brand stuff it'd be like 4 trips to mac

  • same here:) but i just look for things that are similar to this in a drugstore:)

  • I luv you, your bloody awesome...Woooo

  • Its funny how your words don't match your mouth! haha

  • Thanks for your help . That was very helpful!

    :)

  • you seem like such a nice person i like ur personality and ur videos are helpful

  • Hey I was just wondering, do you wear makeup everyday or no? I wanted to know if it was healthy or not, and if it was normal to wear makeup everyday.

  • I've been wearing make-up everyday for a long time with no ill effects. According to my dermatologist, as long as you clean your skin and keep your make-up and brushes clean you should have no problem. Also, pay attention to how long you keep your make-up. I don't remember exact times, you can look it up or ask someone, but after you open a product you should only keep it so long. Most things are like a year. Beyond that you risk bacteria growth.

  • oops I mean the Studio Finish pressed foundation! :)

  • Hiya Koren,

I just purcahsed this(NW30) and I love it!, however the chic at the Mac counter said to used this on top of my Mac fluid foundation NW20 as a concelear and powder. I find it ends up being cakey! Am I just using too much liquid foundation first? Also would you recommend the need for Mac Prep and Prime first?? Love your Vids by the way!!

  • What's the name brand of that black eyeliner?

    Thanks!

  • That was extremely helpful! =) Thanks, and I just subscribed so I'm looking forward to browsing through more of your videos.

  • The translucend powder is the same as Mineral veil???

  • yes

  • when you talked about the black liner

i thought you srent supposed to wear waterproof liners on your water line ?

    *confused*

  • Hey Koren just wondering if u would be able to help me know the difference in all the different finishes in MAC eyeshadows. There's matte, veluxe pearl, satin, lustre.. I am very very curious... =D. Thank you!!

  • I have a video covering that, just look it up in my video list. i hope that helps ya. I also have one covering lipsticks.

  • I'm glad I saw this video because I've been doing my makeup for a while but I don't have a big collection. I've been expanding my collection but didn't have anywhere to store all of my products. I've been wanting one of those train cases and can never find one but I never thought to go to sally's. And $19.95 isn't bad at all.

btw love this vid, it was helpful

  • hi, I know I should find out my skin type before buying foundation. are there any methods you recomend? thanks (:

  • This is the first time i saw ur video great btw

  • if i have oily skin, should i still moisturize??

  • yes. i have really oily skin and you should still moisturize. you can get moisturisers that absorb oil too.

  • Can u recommend any good moisturizer that absorbs oil?? : )

  • garnier pure long-lasting shine control moisturiser is really good :D

  • yes, try smth for oily skin, but do moisturize!

  • thankx! i luvv u!!

  • i have that traincase!! i love that thing!

  • lol at the gym, SUSCRIBED.

  • Hi.. I've heard that baby wipes remove makeup really well. Is it true that I can just use baby wipes and not normal cleansing oil?

  • yes, many people who have sensitive skin uses baby wipes as makeup remover.

  • Thanks for that video now i can be more organized with my small shadows and not take up room in my makeup box....thanks again!.....keep up with the good work!...=0]

  • I cant say thanks enough this really helped me to get the makeup items i need xD thanks soo much<3333

  • hey koren!! i actually own the line and seal pencil, but i have NO IDEA how to get more of the product out. i mean there is nothing that you can twist... so is there a special sharpener i should use or can i just use a regular sharpener, or is it just impossible to get more product out? thanks :]

  • hey pepsi - the line & seal you have to sharpen, and it uses just a regular sharpener

  • hello where can i get the storage case you showed at the begining of this video??? any website?

  • hey roroswan - the little train case? I gotit from Sally's Beauty Supply. Its a Kaboodle brand, just google it and Im sure youll find it online.

  • What if there is no such thing as lighter concealer for you that isn't over $10?

  • how much is the MAC eyeshadow pallet? O.o

  • the empty palettes are $12 each

  • thank u! im just starting to wear makeup!!

  • Hi, quick question: whenever I put on liquid liner my eyelashes get in the way. They get some of the product on them, then they mess up my eyeshadow! What should I do? Great Vid!

  • hey Ange - use a Q-Tip and gently press the lashes down while you are liquid lining. One the liner dries a little, you can let go of the lashes, so that way they dont touch the liner while its still wet. try that.

  • Thank you so much, it worked wonderfully!

  • your teeth are brrrilliant!! and you are amaizing with your proudcts! i luv ur videos! ur teaching me so much (:

  • is the skin mineralize natural a foundation?

which is better - the moistureblend foundation or the mineraize skin natural ( if its a foundation )

  • I have used it many times as a foundation, specially if I want a natural matte look. Moistureblend is great in the winter months when your skin is dryer. For summer and fall, mineralized is more popular.

  • how much probably everything cost for starting kit? coz im taking cosmetology class and in next 2 weeks we need to have our basic make up kit., and im really excited for that. :) and i love ur video its really awesome![applause]

  • depending on the brands you choose. For cosmetology class, you might want to get a list of what will be used, and just get those. It might save a few bucks to go to discount outlet stores like The Cosmetic Company Store (CCO), where they sell brand products for 30-40% off retail.

  • thanks a lot..

    ur videos are really

    awesome..

    *wink. .

  • thanx 4 diz tips..!!!

    luv ya....!!

oh yes... have you been to Malaysia before??

come here..have your trip or holiday... its exciting places!!!

  • Hi, enkore I have another question do you think I could set my foundation makeup with mineral foundation powder?

  • Yes absolutely. Many people do that, and I do it often to my clients.

  • what brand sells that fluid liner stuff?

  • MAC

  • You are so brilliant and knowledgeable! Thank you for posting this - lots of help! x

  • This set of videos is EXACTLY what I've been looking for all these days in youtube!!! That's just AWESOME!!! Thanks EnKore!

    YUPY!!!!!

  • This is sooo helpful!

    You are awesome Koren.

  • hii korennn

im purchasing some MAC eyeshadows- do you suggest that i buy them in cases or buy them depotted and purcahse a palette also? which one is more economical?

  • hey dumpster - i suggest the palette as it is easier to store. You have 15 colors in one thin palette. The pan shadows are $10.50 each vs $14 potted, and the palettes are $12 each.

  • thanks so much for the tip koren!!

    you're the BEST ever!!

i wish you can have your own make up show or something!! that would be AWESOME!!

  • Hi Koren, I want to start buying my first eye shadows - probably 2-3 each time. I really like the colours you showed. From your list, which 2-3 colours do you recommend I get first? Maybe like get 1 for brow, 1 for lid, and 1 gold colour for dimension as u mentioned or....?

  • for your first 3, i suggest, Brule for the brow bone, Satin Taupe, and woodwinked for the gold.

  • sorry Koren* not enkore

  • hey enkore omg you are awesome! i work outdoors and have spent alot of time tryin to find a good stay put eyeliner, especially for my lower waterline. I found the styli-style liner at CVS for $4.99 of all places and it is awesome! Water eyes, swimming pool, sweating, it goes ALL day and then some. Thank you so so much!

  • yeay! youre welcome, glad you find that great as I do!

  • where do you get det stila stile??

  • hey DK - Styli-Style liners are available at drugstores. Just google it and see where's the closest to ya. Also, you can get it from Harmon's Discount Beauty. They have a website too you can order from.

  • hi koren. i have a question. I am going to buy liquid foundation and I was wondering for the powder, do you get a shade lighter to set the foundation or the same color?

  • Same color is usually good, best is using translucent powder, so it doesnt change the tint of your foundation.

  • wow...i just bought that same makeup holder from walgreens. it's awesome!

  • what do you suggest for going to Hawaii, and water proof makeups, foundation lipliner, eybrows to stay on..........thxs

  • I have a video on LONGWEAR products. check it out! hope that helps ya.

  • Thank you sooo much!

  • You're awesome <3

  • I have an NC20 select spf15 mac foundation. I need a good concealer to cover under eye purple color. what concealer do u recommend? i bought one and i want to exchange it because its the select moisture cover nc20 and i dont think it realy covers. What should i exchange it to? thank u so much. i love watchin ur vids.

  • hey ilumistar - definitely try Studio Finish, it gives the best coverage.

  • Hi Koren!

I currrently use StudioTech because my skin is a little dry/oily...I was going to try the new Mineralize SPF15 Loose foundation that just came out...but wasn't sure if it was for me!

Thanks for these two videos! ^__^;; :]

  • hi i've been using mac studio tech i like the way it looks but it makes my skin really oily. what kind of foundation would you recommend? i want a foundation that looks natural but will give me a good coverage.

  • hey cramos-try Studio FIX liquid. It gives good coverage and it sets matte so it helps absorb the oils your skin produces.

  • ok thanks i'll check it out! i love your videos by the way!

  • You always seem like such a good guy, so creative and kind. Thanks for all your vid's, keep them coming, PLEASE!!!!I don't know what I would look like without you. Question...where did you learn all this?

  • do you think that after i wash my face that i could use a mac wipe in stead of a toner and then moisturize?

  • hey Reppin - yes, the wipes have phbalancer, so it will tone your skin.

  • is tinted moisturiser from mac a good alternative to foundation???

  • hey brinda - tinted moisturizer is super sheer. If you dont need coverage, then you can definitely use it.

  • Thank you!!! In that case what do u recommend because i do need a small amount of coverage but something not too heavy! im not sure what mac product to use???

  • check out Mineralized SATINFinish.

  • Thank you!! In that case what mac foundation to you recommend because i do want a little coverage but not something too heavy and unnatural looking?

  • I was just wondering: what are the alternatives to MAC shadesticks?? i.e. a little cheaper but still has quality :)

  • hmm thats a good one. I havent seen color sticks from other brands. BUT you can check Styli-Style. They have eye color pencils that are the same consistency as shadesticks. Theyre more square and flat than round.

  • i just recently bought studio fix fluid from mac and my friend told me that she went to her dermatologist and she told her that theres a lotta bad stuff for your skin in mac foundation products. is that true?

  • well that applies to any Brand product really, weather it contains synthetics, silicones, dyes, colorants, etc. But most foundations these days contains ingredients that actually is GOOD for the skin. Like Titanium Dioxide for Sun protection, Minerals and Vitamins that are essential to skin.

  • do you know where i can get one of those bigger train cases? I've seen a lot but they are all so expensive, like $100+. Any ideas on where i can get them cheaper?

  • hey LePooke - EBay is a great resource for huge train cases. Just have a look around there there's loads.
