Great slice of Chicago's jazz scene captured here. I've seen Elling a few times here and I've always been amazed at the show he puts on. Here, he's with Ernie Watts and the two of them really display the essence of the Coltrane/Hartman classic this was paying tribute to. A definite thumbs up!
The first time I saw him in Chicago it was at Orchestra Hall. Terrific!
