I just want to thank you, Km13! It's really appreciate folks like you that take the time and effort to upload the old, nearly impossible to find horror gems. This is only my second time viewing this film. The first time was a few years ago on an old VHS copy I found @ a Mom & Pop joint. "The Mutilator" is cheesy & low budget, but it has it's charm & silly fun. In my opinion, the kill scenes are quite good! So, thanks again. Now, if only I could find "Hide & Go Shriek" uploaded, *hint hint* ;-)

@iamcasihart Thanx.I'm glad you liked it ! It's actually the "DIRECTOR'S CUT" too. Now me being able to upload , "HIDE AND SHRIEK", is not going to happen. YouTube took away my right to upload full movies.But,I was never have supposed to have had it. So, I took advantage of that of course. You may be able to find it also through doing some torrent searching.But,thanx again for the comment !!!

@Km13 I don't blame you & I am glad that you did take advantage of the opportunity. Thanks for mentioning that this is the "Director's Cut" aka the "unrated" version. I forgot to add that this was my first time seeing this version. The 'ole hook in the crotch scene is a bit longer & more brutal than in the version I saw before. Love it! Then again, I am just a girly girl with twisted taste in Art. I will continue to search for "H&GS," but I haven't had luck finding it. Do you like that film?

@iamcasihart I have not seen "H&GS" yet. I am on a mission now to find it. I keep falling back to 80's slashers and just plain 80's and 70's horror lately, cause I am tired of remakes and seeing the same stuff over again done with CGI. I hate CGI.I also like grindhouse stuff and I'm not talking about "Planet Terror and Death Proof'. Stuff like the 42nd street collections.

@iamcasihart This is a great reminder of my days of watching these type of horror films when I was 13. I don't think we get these films anymore. Unless you look real hard. "The Mutilator", although not as good as some horror films, it's a reminder that some of these films are better then some of the films we have now.

Thank you so much for posting this; I have never seen it as it is rather hard to find. What a goofy song over the opening credits! Kinda has you expecting a sex comedy rather than a hardcore horror film. Mark Shostrom is so talented when it comes to special effects makeup; he worked on 'Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn'. Hopefully someone will release this as a special edition 2-disc DVD.

I have the unrated version of this film on VHS, and I love it. However, the scene where Sue gets "hooked" is a little different here than the one I own. The edit is the same as far as the visual, all the blood and gore is there, but in my version you can't here her screaming like you do here. Just gasps for air, as if he smashed her windpipe when he grabbed her (which was why she never scredmed for help), then one guick gulp before he brings the axe down. Thanks for sharing this. :)

I got about an hour into this and then it froze and wouldn't finish. No big loss really since this is one of the dullest and lamest slasher movies I've ever seen. I love a good low budget 1980s slasher, but this one isn't any fun.
