Whichever way you look at it, waterboarding it torture, and in a "democratic" society surely we should never condone torture as a way to coerce information from somebody, it sets a very dangerous precedent. Lots of people see videos of water boarding and say 'it doesnt look so bad' or ' I could handle it', go and try it, see how you like it.

Are these dorks serious? Why are protestors always dorks and looser hippies. I have never seen a successful person protest. Personally I would like to kidnap their children and tell them that they will die in 48 hours, then turn myself over to the authorities but not tell them where they are. I would like then to have the authorities tell the parents that if they waterboarded me, I would probably break. I wonder if they would say ok then?

I HIGHLY doubt a real waterboarding session would have the person completely mobile like that. No one would just lie there with water on their face. They'd try to turn their head, etc. I suppose they just did a quick version because no one there would prob care.

Except that most of the prisoners that have been subject to water boarding have never had a trial to even determine if they had terrorist connections or not. In fact recently in the news there was a man who was subject to water boarding and other kinds of torture but was later find out to be innocent of connections to terrorism. As an American I actually feel some embarrassment because of this!
