E' assai più difficile nel jazz "stare in silenzio" che suonare tante "inutili" note! Hai una straordinaria caratteristica Steve: ogni nota che suoni nel PMG è sapientemente e ricercatamente "giusta"!!

Am I the only who prefers this song at 1/2 this speed? Seems to me it's a vastly better song as he recorded it on the Pat Metheny Group album way back when. I know this is the way he plays it now, but I wonder why.
I also prefer it a lot when played slower. Actually the album version is one of my favorite songs, I don't love these live versions as much as the original one.
And, by the way... "the way he plays it now"? You're sure he still plays this song (even if only once in a while)?
