I was an active duty Air Force Pilot for 10 years (F16's) and can honestly say I never met one fighter pilot who was an idiot. First, you don't get to strap on fighters--as Bush did--unless you are in the upper 10% of a very competitive training regimen. It doesn't matter who your father is: it's all about performance. You do realize that 1978 was 33 years ago? I'm not a Mormon or high in Romney but three things seem self-evident: 1) Churches can change dramatically over that period of time and 2) Not all members of any group subscribe to all tenants of the group; and 3) Every church has beliefs or practices which seem heretical to other religions.
