  • This movie was actually based on a true story, I saw it when I was a kid. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, that he is Lord and that he is Gods only begotten son, and was sent to die and be resurected for us; "If you believe, anything is possible." Matt, 21, 21...God says it all through the Bible! Modern society wants us to downplay anything that smacks of good and the love of the Messiah; that is satans influience.

  • Thank you so much for posting this movie. I saw it when I was a kid and loved it. Thank you! :)

  • The tiny doggie is so cute! :)

  • I truly love this film. I remember seeing it when I was a teen and it stuck with me for ever. I have been looking for it for a long time but I couldn't remember the title. Only the actress Ellen Burstyn was in it. I did see the remake and it didn't have the same feel as this version. Now having seen it again and knowing that I can buy it will give me great satisfaction to be able to put it in my all-time favorites.

  • This movie connects with all who wish to have the power to heal at some time in their lives. Life is so cruel at times. A terrorist bombs a building. A father's beautiful and precious daughter is trapped partially under a slab of concrete. There is nothing he can do as the life ebbs away. Her final words to him as she holds his hand are "Daddy, I love you." Who does not long for the Messiah to come and His holy ones to rule with Him? They will heal the nations. Thank you for the video.

  • Wow, that is a surprisingly good movie!!!! I am a healer and would love to be this good!!! Very touching and beautiful film. Thank you for posting it.

  • I heard that little boy at the end grew up to be a republican congressman and voted against obamas health care plan, saying people don't need it ,the lord will take care of those that believe ..well i don't have health care .wheres my puppy ?

  • Thank you very much for posting this film!!!

  • I think it's really funny, how all the people thank you and the story about Martin Scorcese getting healed... I didn't know this movie, i was reading a book from a healer that saw this movie a dozen of times when he was studying Chiropractics. I think this guy is really amazing, so i wanted to see the movie. His name is Eric Pearl. There are a lot of interviews of him on you tube. Check it out if you're intrested. I liked the movie. Thanx for putting it her because i couldn't find it elsewhere.

  • BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS MOVIE FOR YRS TOO...

    MUCH OBLIGED INDEED...

  • This movie is on DVD from Amazon! Finally. What a brilliant film. Yes, this ending has stuck in my mind, as well.

  • This was a terrific movie. Ellen Burstyn is one of my favorite actresses and she gives here one of her best performances.

  • To think we have to endure Lady GaGa, Christina Agulaira, Lyndsay Lohan stories and the psychotic Fox News/War/Conflict monster when something like this is so profound and so very fulfilling. Our "entertainment" world is void of love. Leave it all together and get yourself out in the world and have these kind of connections with others.

  • i have never seen or heard of this movie before, just happen to come across it ... i believe in the power of spiritual healing ..As i have had my attunement in the first degree of Reiki (Universal life force Energy) and look forward to my second Degree.. it was a pleasure to have watched this movie thank you so much .. :)

  • This movie is awesome. I remember seeing it when I was a kid and bawling my eyes out at the end. Ellen Burstyn is always so good.

  • Thankyou and I do think it is Ellen's finest work. Has anyone seen "Same Time Next Year?"

  • I soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo LOVE THIS MOVIE I watched it many years ago and then forgot the tittle just found someone else who had asked this question on Yahoo answers which led me here :D

  • Oh thank you so much for this! This movie changed my life when I first saw it as a kid , I have never been able to accept spoon fed religious dogma since. There are good people out there who belong to the world. Thank you again

  • I am so pleased to find this movie on Youtube. It's been forever since I've seen it. Thank you for downloading. Did you know this movie was remade. I just don't remember when.

  • Thank you for posting this movie...it is one of my all-time favorites. The grandmother in this film is such a lovely soul and the story is incredibly touching.

  • One of the best movie endings ever. So simple and beautiful. If miracles happen, they happen just like this. Thanks.

  • they finnaly released it on D VD. u can only get it on amazon.

  • Best last minute of any movie ever.

    Love the film.

  • thank you so much for posting this film, it was very beautiful, i remember it when i came out in the theatres but i was too young to go see it by myself. i cant find it anywhere, thanks

  • Where in heaven's name did this movie go? Saw it in the theater and have never forgotten it.

  • I thought this particular film was great! It's absolutely timeless. I also saw the remake of this film which was relaeased in 1999 with Dana Delaney playing the role of McCauley. They made the main character younger for that film, but I feel Ellen Burstyn's commanding performance is "touching" compared to Dana Delaney's performance. Dana wasn't as convincing. Ellen came across more genuine and caring. Also I think the director in the 1999 version was sloppy, while this was masterful.

  • I have been looking for this movie for years.....the remake just didn't cut it for me. The ending is so sweet and tender it just makes me cry. This movie is a gem and thank you so much for putting this movie out there. Greatly appreciated!!!

  • I very much agree...this is a lost gem and, thanks to you, I have found it again!

  • thanks for putting up this film , I read about this movie in a book written by a no touch healer. Nice ending. Its a shame but there are many people who will go by the bible when it suits them but resort to violence in order to strike out against the things that piss them off and act as if they are instruments of God's wrath.

  • THANKS! Ran upon this at just the right time ... your time & effort are much appreciated...sending it on to friends facing coming loss. I choose to believe....

  • sniff sniff. Thank you for posting. I too have been looking for this movie for a long time. It is one of those that sticks with you.

  • It's been many years since I have seen this movie and I have never forgotten about it. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  • yes. thanks so much for posting the movie. Now if I can ever get Maurice Jarre to record the score. Have never come across it. Maybe you have. And that ending with her curing him with her warm hug. I cry every time I watch it.

  • Thank you very much for posting this movie!!! I've been looking to see it again for years, but never could find it... I like this kind of films. I'm also looking to watch again Saved by the Light. I hope someone post it completely.

Again, thank you and be blessed!!!

  • I was just talking to my father about this movie yesterday. They want a lot of money for the DVD. Thanks for posting this on here it bring back memories.

  • thanks , also the last time I saw this movie was when I was a teenager, and you don't ever see it on cable or reg. tv. I didn't know that it was released as a tv movie back then. Ellen Burstyn is a great actress also, the ending always gets me.

  • Thank You so much, Aussiebabe63, for this! You have no Idea how much this movie has affected me since I first saw it as a teenager. I've been trying for years to acquire it with little luck. You can see by the comments that so many people are appreciative of Your effort, and with good reason. Just goes to show one that there are still wonderfully good people out there-like You! Thank You, again. I wish You only the Best!

  • Thank you, I'm glad I am not the only person who likes this movie, maybe some day they will release it out on DVD with extra features as I would love to know the story behind this movie and the stars.

  • Wouldn't that be fabulous? I saw this movie in the early 80's and never forgot it. Thank you again for uploading :)

  • @Aussiebabe63 Read Ellen Burstyn's book 'Lesson's In Becoming My Self'

You will find about the making of this movie - it is just fascinating xx

  • This is a comment I got from IMDB (Martin Scorsese was reportedly healed from asthma by the real life healer who inspired this film.) so you can make what you want of this movie, I guess this is why this movie was made to make you think!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this movie

It is wonderful and I love Ms Burstyn

    Warmest wishes from England xx

  • @Aussiebabe63 What he/she did to Martin, and what she does in this movie, would be known as Reiki. There any many Reiki healers. Check into it. :)
