Obama's got nothin' on this guy. THREE terms as president and most popular of his time too. He actually brought America out of the biggest recession ever.
Well I suppose that was a wrong choice of words. Its just so ironic because at the time I posted my comment, we were learning about the New Deal. It was just cool hearing about the policies from the big guy himself
The financial crisis didn't start with the current administration, idiot. It is perfectly appropriate to blame the Republicans for this.
The Democrats aren't doing so wonderful right now because they have to keep making stupid little compromises with the Republicans, who will block any bill that doesn't involve billions in tax cuts (which is stupid because tax cuts are effectively the same as subsidies, and everyone knows tax cuts don't do anything for the economy anyway).
Did I say it was started with this administration? HELL NO! Also, it began in 2006 when the DEMS had the majority. You see you are part of the problem... never take responsibility for anything, just blame others.
Cutting taxes on small business is good and promotes growth.. Now you guys are destroying our country with this new budget. Also, so you know the Repubs can not block anything.. they can filibusterer but that is about it. Have they did it yet, no! Just have faith in your messiah Obama.
Right wing morons? Like Rush? I hate Rush! Anyways, at least they wernt showing man love for Obama.... they are not responsible for America making it's biggest mistake ever in electing Barack Obama as our President. He was not and is not ready to lead our country. Hillary would have been a better pick!
The banks are already insolvent. Throwing money at the banks will not do a thing, creating a dead man walking. Only government takeover of the banks will fix this problem. The FDIC is about to kick into action! The republicans have been trying to tear down Social Security since FDR created it. Here's a brilliant idea, lets destroy Social Security and throw the elderly off of Social Security and make them fend for themselves. After all it is a "Socialist" program!
So you want everyone to work for who, again? You don't want any business of any kind, and this seems rational to you somehow? Change the bong water, but don't drink it again.
Well I guess that might mean something if they didn't allow foreign autos to be sold in America you schmuck. Your arguments are nonsensical. As for a handout, the government had their hand out alright and every year I filled it with money. What is it that the Federal Gov does for you? I'm supposed to be gracious because they took my money and didn't regulate some auto makers, that's retarded.Even if my company does go under you want see me at the welfare office,
How did the New Deal make the middle class? There aren't 80 million government jobs, yet.
I've got a vested interest in the economy returning to normal ASAP, you act as though I want the economy to keep sinking. Oil will not rise until the economies begin to heal or inflation sets in.Every businessman in the country wants the economy to heal ASAP. Do you think that these businessmen approve of the stimulus Obama just passed? The majority don't, why?
We all are, that's my point. Obama's new deal will make us all equal. We'll all be living in poverty. When that happens, you might should watch out because people will be out to get the mother fuckers that caused it, people like you that backed all this nonsense.
Maybe I'm not understanding your side because I've never gotten anything from the federal government that I didn't pay for 10 times over. I've never received a handout, instead relying on my own ability and intelligence to take care of myself.
That would bother me if government expenditures weren't in the GDP figures. GDP doesn't mean anything when it comes to real personal wealth of a nation. I suppose you still think social security was a great program, huh?
I started my own company when I was 21, with a hammer. I didn't even own a car. We did 3/4 of a million in sales our second year repairing pallets. At some point you have got to quit making excuses and go to work..So go wash the sand out your Pussy, quit blaming others, and take responsibility for your own future.
The reason workers had to go work in the factories is because they were being replaced on the farms with equipment. There was no recession during this time, ithere was deflationary growth. Real wealth for people increased more than any time in recorded history. If the people in the factories weren't happy why didn't they find work elsewhere, or start their own company? I guess you think that socialist give you a choice.
what Amity Shlae fails to mention is the hard facts. she completely lets hoover off the hook, that he failed to react quickly enough to the economic downturn. the lessise faire business practices of cooledge and hoover lead our country into the depression.
no, because of his policies... if amity shales and Tomas woods is so right about FDR, then why did we have a 25 year recession in the late 1800's during that time we had nothing but business men running the economy with no government interference, and again this model failed.
this is what happened with Enron, and is what is happing with our currant health care system. we could drop the cost of medical care, if it was socialized. But that wouldn't mean a deflation of the dollar.
even ronald reagan knew this to be true and spoke out about it...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Why is FDR regarded by a large majority as one of the best? He was an economic ignoramus responsible for the creation of the Great Depression. The Dow didn't reach it's 1929 level for 26 years in 1955. It took a World War for him to cure unemployment. His policies are responsible for todays crisis.
We are making the same mistake today, only worse because we aren't nearly as self sufficient. Obama is the next FDR and everyone should be scared shitless.
FDR had almost nothing to do with the start of the great depression. the depression started in '29 during HOOVER's presidency less than a year after Coolridge's 2nd term. both of them were pro-biz btw. The economy kept getting worse until Hoover left office in '32, and only begun recovery after FDR took office in '33.
I dont know about the DOW but I know that the US economy was pretty damn strong right after WWII ended in '45.
Wrong. Read Amity Shlae's book "The forgotten man" A depression doesn't just begin. There was a stock market crash which would have led to a recession but FDR took the measures that Hoover started and just made them bigger. Hoover began the price and wage controls and Hoover started the tax increases and public works. Reread your history
yeah, but hoover's tax increases were on the poor, not the wealthy. If you look at tax rates vs. economic growth it follows the same pattern. tax cuts on the rich starts a boom, bubble and crash. tax increases on the rich gives us strong economic growth. every president followed this policy regardless of party until Reagan. reaganonics is what screwed up our economy.
I hate to tell you this, but poor people don't really contribute that much to the economy, thats why they're poor. BTW Reaganomics pulled this country from the brink of collapse and was one of the most prosperous presidents of all time.
No sir, the reason why they are poor is because how much they contribute, and what they get back from the government.
one poor person may not contribute much, but when they represent the majority of the citizens, they pay a lot.
the latest economic downturn is proof that reaganomics has never worked any where in history. and it will continue to do so until we cut defensive spending, bring back tariffs, increase the minimum wage to at least $15, and tax the rich at 90%.
"bring back tariffs, increase the minimum wage to at least $15, and tax the rich at 90%. "
Hoover put in high tariffs and took the top tax rate up to 70% and that worked out well, right? Hoover is your hero huh cuz he did what you want?
What school of economic thought do you come from because your proposals are irrational by every modern economic perspective. I am intrigued how you got to your conclusions.
well tariffs would prevent american companies from moving over seas, and keep american jobs here, raising the minimum wage would put money in the hands who need it the most, and decrease unemployment, and taxing the rich would keep their corruption in check, and build a strong middle class in the process. that's at least what teddy roosevelt, einshower, and nixon thought along with almost all the founding fathers.
Raising the minimum wage would would decrease unemployment? Do you really know nothing at all about economics, hell it's common sense that raising minimum wage would increase unemployment.Everything you speak of has been tried many times and proven to never work, you are the definition of stupidity.
I hate to tell you this, but out of the 23 times the minimum wage was increased it lowered the unemployment rate 15 times, and 8 times it did not. the 8 times it didn't lower unemployment was because other factors made a greater impact, like the oil embargos of the 70's for example.
the reason that it lowers unemployment is because it puts more money in the hands of people that spend all their money, thus stimulating the economy. hey, i was surprised too when i learned about this.
unemployment may have gone down during a min wage increase, but it did that in spite of the wage increase because economic times were that good. You pull a stunt like that during a deflationary depression and see what happens. There was no depression in the late 1800, there was deflation due to increased productivity
So it was just a coincidence that unemployment went down with a minimum wage increase twice as often as it went down huh? Do you really believe this shit your shoveling? Keep in mind during those periods of good economy times we had the most minimum wage increases, most often then in any other period in American history. I guess thats just a fluke too
An example would be the price of Kerosene went from 28 cents a gallon to 14 cents a gallon because of new refining methods done on a larger scale. This is an example of deflation during this period.
So you think people that really work hard and have for more than a day or two are poor? You're not supposed to get shit back from the government. I'm with you on cutting spending, but not just the military, all the way around. Cut all the bureaucratic bullshit out. Barebones government . AWWHH but then you'd have to go to work like the rest of us who support you're loser lazy ass.
loser ass? I run my own business by myself, you get government subsidizes from your oil company. i would be fine with bare bones government if it started and stopped with stripping socialism for the wealthy.
Damn, you must be drinking opposite juice today cuz I never heard of a deflation due to increased productivity deflation comes from DECREASED productivity. You know? Like when American jobs are shipped over seas and no ones around to buy the shit that big businesses make. Ya know???? Kinda like NOW! Ya know??????
to be honest, I use to think just like you, until I spent time with a friend of mine that was homeless that worked hard all his life, and had the bad luck of getting sick and losing his home.
I've seen too many dying homeless on the streets of DC while the rich drove by without a care in the world, in there fucking limos, to think this is the american way
@jjrglobal "Reaganomics pulled this country from the brink of collapse and was one of the most prosperous presidents of all time.."
"brink of collapse": What collapse he pulled out of? Reaganomics ended in "Black Monday" biggest market crash since 1929 drag the economy down til end of Bush Sr. presidency.
ok so you obviously dont know what your talking about. we went into the economic recession due to president hoover's polices leading to the great depression. what FDR did is save our country. so therefore, yes, he was one of the best.
By the way, if FDR was so stupid, then how did he create more jobs then any other president in history? Tomas Woods doesnt mention that I noticed. Maybe that's because, like Amity Shales, is nothing but a pond for the Reich Wing Party
If he created so many jobs then why was unemployment so high. It is not the job of the president to create employment, in fact he doesn't have the authority to do so.
yeah I would say FRD did create the most jobs by signing bills into law. that's what a president does, if we remember social studies from grade school. 1932 the unployment rate was 23.6% and in 1944 it was 1.2%. that sounds like some job creation to me.
did I say he started a war to reduce unemployment? no i didn't. but he did reduce it from levels as high as 33% to 14.6% before we got involved in the war.
the reason you republicans keep using figures from 38, is because FDR gave in to pressure of republicans and allowed more tax cuts for the rich in that year in the budget planning. and how do you know how long a depression is suppose to last? when was there another depression to compare it to?
Why would you assume that I'm a Republican? I hate all parties and so should everyone else. We should make it illegal for parties to exist. Representatives should vote on legislation based on merit not party lines.
you're right I shouldn't assume you're a republican. to me, it sounds like you're thinking is closer to Liberian, but who am I to judge. But I do agree with you (for once) that thinking in party lines is stupidity. what I would prefer would be to allow many parties to compete with the big two. why do we have 32 flavors of ice cream and only 2 parties to choose from in politics. specially when the democrats and republicans are more or less the same party....
Well I remember in my fourth year of macroeconomics while attaining my MBA that presidents aren't smart enough to allocate labor properly. Did they teach you about World War 2 starting in 1941 in social studies? Before the war unemployment was arournd 18%.
Here's how we can cure unemployment, just take the unemployed out to a field and shoot them. Problem solved. Is this how morons like you and FDR think.?
You can't solve unemployment with a world war, dipshit.
very interesting that you think the greatest time in economic history is when the big business was raping America, when laborers had almost no rights, but a minimum wage increase is a bad thing. sounds like a scumfuck republican idea if I ever heard one.
by the way, i never said there was a depression in the late 1800's, I said there was a recession. and deflation of an economy and a depression is the same fucking thing.
Dude you really should educate yourself or get a brain transplant. Deflation is a drop in prices, there are two types, asset class and consumer goods. The deflation in 1873 was consumer goods deflation caused by an increase in productivity and not a decrease in demand. It was called the second industrial revolution and America prospered more during this time than any other in history. Really start doing some research or studying this shit is getting old, its like talking to a retarded kid.
shows how much you know mr. macroeconomics. deflation is not the drop in prices, it's an increase in the value of a currency. this does not have mean that prices will drop, and a drop in prices does not have to mean a deflation. in fact when larger corporations run things, they artificially increase the cost to make larger profits. am I hitting close to home oil man?
It's far far worse. We had savings back then, today we are the largest creditor nation. Back then 90% of the people were self sufficient, today less than 1%. The economic conditions are much worse too. The gov is lying to us about the unemployment rate, it's over 15% right now and will probably reach 40%
we're a creditor nation today because of Reaganomics, and their starve the breast theory of economics. This is why republicans are anti-american. They get into power, tell everyone that government is bad, then screws it all up for the rest of us, and say see! I told you so!
this is why they had their asses handed to them in November.
I'll be the first to say that the dems in congress suck ass. there's a few good ones, but most of them suck.
but we both know that the iraq war spending was done by pressuring congress using the shock doctrine.
reagan didn't do shit to the soviet union. it collapsed on itself. rep. charlie wilson is more responsble for the end of the soviet union then reagan ever was. reagan is one of the most poisonous presidents in american history. .
He explained things! Our politicians today skim the surface, scared stiff that we might not like the details. Take notes, boys and girls in DC. TAKE NOTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The problem is that nowadays everything is distilled down to 'sound bites'. If any one sentence were scary or bad, back then it wouldn't matter because people would listen to the entire address. Now, that one sentence would be a blaring headline and people would flip out!
FDR did it right. He spoke to the American people in plain, strightforward, reassuring terms. His delivery exuded confidence in America's ability to rebound. He calmly explained what was being done to address the then-current situation. Bush's recent "Be afraid...be very afraid" approach managed to do nothing more than scare the populace.
This most disorienting part of this isn't that its 80 years old its that hes not talking to people like they're idiots.

bigkyle07 2 years ago
The financial crisis didn't start with the current administration, idiot. It is perfectly appropriate to blame the Republicans for this.
The Democrats aren't doing so wonderful right now because they have to keep making stupid little compromises with the Republicans, who will block any bill that doesn't involve billions in tax cuts (which is stupid because tax cuts are effectively the same as subsidies, and everyone knows tax cuts don't do anything for the economy anyway).
KingMichael 2 years ago 3
Did I say it was started with this administration? HELL NO! Also, it began in 2006 when the DEMS had the majority. You see you are part of the problem... never take responsibility for anything, just blame others.
Cutting taxes on small business is good and promotes growth.. Now you guys are destroying our country with this new budget. Also, so you know the Repubs can not block anything.. they can filibusterer but that is about it. Have they did it yet, no! Just have faith in your messiah Obama.

So what kind of economy spreads wealth?
jjrglobal 3 years ago

The majority don't, why?
jjrglobal 3 years ago
We all are, that's my point. Obama's new deal will make us all equal. We'll all be living in poverty. When that happens, you might should watch out because people will be out to get the mother fuckers that caused it, people like you that backed all this nonsense.
jjrglobal 3 years ago
Maybe I'm not understanding your side because I've never gotten anything from the federal government that I didn't pay for 10 times over. I've never received a handout, instead relying on my own ability and intelligence to take care of myself.

That would bother me if government expenditures weren't in the GDP figures. GDP doesn't mean anything when it comes to real personal wealth of a nation. I suppose you still think social security was a great program, huh?

I started my own company when I was 21, with a hammer. I didn't even own a car. We did 3/4 of a million in sales our second year repairing pallets. I guess you think that socialist give you a choice.

what Amity Shlae fails to mention is the hard facts. she completely lets hoover off the hook, that he failed to react quickly enough to the economic downturn. the lessise faire business practices of cooledge and hoover lead our country into the depression.
oipunkguy 3 years ago 2
hoover is spoken of very critically by Amity Shale. Particularly his tariffs and protectionism. Hoover was far, far from a free market proponent.
Oh and its spelled "Laissez-faire".
CIDaily 3 years ago
which just shows how much Amity understands. Tariffs would do america a whole lot of good. fuck NAFTA and the WTO.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
not to mention FDR policies gave america prosperity for 4 decades, and built the strongest economy known to man.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
That was done despite FDR and his policies
jjrglobal 3 years ago
no, because of his policies... if amity shales and Tomas woods is so right about FDR, then why did we have a 25 year recession in the late 1800's during that time we had nothing but business men running the economy with no government interference, and again this model failed.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
this is what happened with Enron, and is what is happing with our currant health care system. we could drop the cost of medical care, if it was socialized. But that wouldn't mean a deflation of the dollar.

Obama is the next FDR and everyone should be scared shitless.
jjrglobal 3 years ago
FDR had almost nothing to do with the start of the great depression. the depression started in '29 during HOOVER's presidency less than a year after Coolridge's 2nd term. both of them were pro-biz btw. The economy kept getting worse until Hoover left office in '32, and only begun recovery after FDR took office in '33.
I dont know about the DOW but I know that the US economy was pretty damn strong right after WWII ended in '45.
frostyx512 3 years ago
Wrong. Read Amity Shlae's book "The forgotten man" A depression doesn't just begin. There was a stock market crash which would have led to a recession but FDR took the measures that Hoover started and just made them bigger. Hoover began the price and wage controls and Hoover started the tax increases and public works. Reread your history
jjrglobal 3 years ago
yeah, but hoover's tax increases were on the poor, not the wealthy. If you look at tax rates vs. economic growth it follows the same pattern. tax cuts on the rich starts a boom, bubble and crash. tax increases on the rich gives us strong economic growth. every president followed this policy regardless of party until Reagan. reaganonics is what screwed up our economy.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
I hate to tell you this, but poor people don't really contribute that much to the economy, thats why they're poor. BTW Reaganomics pulled this country from the brink of collapse and was one of the most prosperous presidents of all time.
jjrglobal 3 years ago
No sir, the reason why they are poor is because how much they contribute, and what they get back from the government.
one poor person may not contribute much, but when they represent the majority of the citizens, they pay a lot.
the latest economic downturn is proof that reaganomics has never worked any where in history. and it will continue to do so until we cut defensive spending, bring back tariffs, increase the minimum wage to at least $15, and tax the rich at 90%.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
"bring back tariffs, increase the minimum wage to at least $15, and tax the rich at 90%. "
Hoover put in high tariffs and took the top tax rate up to 70% and that worked out well, right? Hoover is your hero huh cuz he did what you want?
What school of economic thought do you come from because your proposals are irrational by every modern economic perspective. I am intrigued how you got to your conclusions.
CIDaily 3 years ago
well tariffs would prevent american companies from moving over seas, and keep american jobs here, raising the minimum wage would put money in the hands who need it the most, and decrease unemployment, and taxing the rich would keep their corruption in check, and build a strong middle class in the process. that's at least what teddy roosevelt, einshower, and nixon thought along with almost all the founding fathers.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
Raising the minimum wage would would decrease unemployment? Do you really know nothing at all about economics, hell it's common sense that raising minimum wage would increase unemployment.Everything you speak of has been tried many times and proven to never work, you are the definition of stupidity.
jjrglobal 3 years ago
I hate to tell you this, but out of the 23 times the minimum wage was increased it lowered the unemployment rate 15 times, and 8 times it did not. the 8 times it didn't lower unemployment was because other factors made a greater impact, like the oil embargos of the 70's for example.
the reason that it lowers unemployment is because it puts more money in the hands of people that spend all their money, thus stimulating the economy. hey, i was surprised too when i learned about this.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
unemployment may have gone down during a min wage increase, but it did that in spite of the wage increase because economic times were that good. You pull a stunt like that during a deflationary depression and see what happens. There was no depression in the late 1800, there was deflation due to increased productivity
jjrglobal 3 years ago
So it was just a coincidence that unemployment went down with a minimum wage increase twice as often as it went down huh? Do you really believe this shit your shoveling? Keep in mind during those periods of good economy times we had the most minimum wage increases, most often then in any other period in American history. I guess thats just a fluke too
oipunkguy 3 years ago
An example would be the price of Kerosene went from 28 cents a gallon to 14 cents a gallon because of new refining methods done on a larger scale. This is an example of deflation during this period.
jjrglobal 3 years ago

So you think people that really work hard and have for more than a day or two are poor? You're not supposed to get shit back from the government. AWWHH but then you'd have to go to work like the rest of us who support you're loser lazy ass.
jjrglobal 3 years ago
loser ass? I run my own business by myself, you get government subsidizes from your oil company. i would be fine with bare bones government if it started and stopped with stripping socialism for the wealthy.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
Damn, you must be drinking opposite juice today cuz I never heard of a deflation due to increased productivity deflation comes from DECREASED productivity. You know? Like when American jobs are shipped over seas and no ones around to buy the shit that big businesses make. Ya know???? Kinda like NOW! Ya know??????

to be honest, I use to think just like you, until I spent time with a friend of mine that was homeless that worked hard all his life, and had the bad luck of getting sick and losing his home.

@jjrglobal "Reaganomics pulled this country from the brink of collapse and was one of the most prosperous presidents of all time.."
"brink of collapse": What collapse he pulled out of? Reaganomics ended in "Black Monday" biggest market crash since 1929 drag the economy down til end of Bush Sr. presidency.
"most prosperous presidents" Who told you this?
google, "Presidents And Prosperity Forbes"
Reagan ranked 4th after 3 Democrat presidents.
allgoo19 3 months ago
ok so you obviously dont know what your talking about. we went into the economic recession due to president hoover's polices leading to the great depression. what FDR did is save our country. so therefore, yes, he was one of the best.
ladybugg842 3 years ago 3
By the way, if FDR was so stupid, then how did he create more jobs then any other president in history? Tomas Woods doesnt mention that I noticed. Maybe that's because, like Amity Shales, is nothing but a pond for the Reich Wing Party
oipunkguy 3 years ago
If he created so many jobs then why was unemployment so high. It is not the job of the president to create employment, in fact he doesn't have the authority to do so.
jjrglobal 3 years ago
yeah I would say FRD did create the most jobs by signing bills into law. that's what a president does, if we remember social studies from grade school. 1932 the unployment rate was 23.6% and in 1944 it was 1.2%. that sounds like some job creation to me.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
Um, there was a WORLD WAR in 1944...that is why the unemployment rate was almost nil.
Are you saying FDR started the war to reduce unemployment?
Also, why are you using an 8 year window...it should take a much shorter period of time to recover economically.
CIDaily 3 years ago
did I say he started a war to reduce unemployment? no i didn't. but he did reduce it from levels as high as 33% to 14.6% before we got involved in the war.
the reason you republicans keep using figures from 38, is because FDR gave in to pressure of republicans and allowed more tax cuts for the rich in that year in the budget planning. and how do you know how long a depression is suppose to last? when was there another depression to compare it to?
oipunkguy 3 years ago
Why would you assume that I'm a Republican? I hate all parties and so should everyone else. We should make it illegal for parties to exist. Representatives should vote on legislation based on merit not party lines.
jjrglobal 3 years ago
you're right I shouldn't assume you're a republican. to me, it sounds like you're thinking is closer to Liberian, but who am I to judge. But I do agree with you (for once) that thinking in party lines is stupidity. what I would prefer would be to allow many parties to compete with the big two. why do we have 32 flavors of ice cream and only 2 parties to choose from in politics. specially when the democrats and republicans are more or less the same party....
oipunkguy 3 years ago
Well I remember in my fourth year of macroeconomics while attaining my MBA that presidents aren't smart enough to allocate labor properly. Did they teach you about World War 2 starting in 1941 in social studies? Before the war unemployment was arournd 18%.
Here's how we can cure unemployment, just take the unemployed out to a field and shoot them. Problem solved. Is this how morons like you and FDR think.?
You can't solve unemployment with a world war, dipshit.
jjrglobal 3 years ago
wow, you sound bitter today? what happened? did you drill a dry well today?
oipunkguy 3 years ago
very interesting that you think the greatest time in economic history is when the big business was raping America, when laborers had almost no rights, but a minimum wage increase is a bad thing. sounds like a scumfuck republican idea if I ever heard one.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
by the way, i never said there was a depression in the late 1800's, I said there was a recession. and deflation of an economy and a depression is the same fucking thing.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
Dude you really should educate yourself or get a brain transplant. Deflation is a drop in prices, there are two types, asset class and consumer goods. The deflation in 1873 was consumer goods deflation caused by an increase in productivity and not a decrease in demand. It was called the second industrial revolution and America prospered more during this time than any other in history. Really start doing some research or studying this shit is getting old, its like talking to a retarded kid.
jjrglobal 3 years ago
shows how much you know mr. macroeconomics. deflation is not the drop in prices, it's an increase in the value of a currency. this does not have mean that prices will drop, and a drop in prices does not have to mean a deflation. in fact when larger corporations run things, they artificially increase the cost to make larger profits. am I hitting close to home oil man?

It's far far worse. We had savings back then, today we are the largest creditor nation. Back then 90% of the people were self sufficient, today less than 1%. The economic conditions are much worse too. The gov is lying to us about the unemployment rate, it's over 15% right now and will probably reach 40%
jjrglobal 3 years ago
we're a creditor nation today because of Reaganomics, and their starve the breast theory of economics. This is why republicans are anti-american. They get into power, tell everyone that government is bad, then screws it all up for the rest of us, and say see! I told you so!
this is why they had their asses handed to them in November.
oipunkguy 3 years ago
"we're a creditor nation today because of Reaganomics"
Reagan spent to destroy the soviet union which he did. That brought about a lot of economic benefit.
And its the Republicans...oh wait... the Democrats that want to pass this spending bill that costs 200 Billion more than the entire Iraq war.
CIDaily 3 years ago
I'll be the first to say that the dems in congress suck ass. there's a few good ones, but most of them suck.
but we both know that the iraq war spending was done by pressuring congress using the shock doctrine.
