why are you selling the mpd? trust me, upgrade your garage band to ableton or reason and all your timing and shit will be fixed. just gotta learn how to use it, but there are plenty of people on youtube who could help you with learning em.
my dude u have taste in samples but when u chop u choped ode big make them smaller so u could play around more u feel me...im not dat goood yet but i tryyyy and im allmost there
You've got the tools, idea and talent to handle it but there is a reason for by the book methods of metronome, tempo and track. Even if you are not using a metronome, whatever you are recording onhas a tempo set at something and that is what your song will be set to. If you tried to quantize that loop, it would be set to that tempo. It sounds like a 150 bpm in 3/4. Overall good make on the fly.
This nigga is crazy, he said he is selling his MPD32...He said Im not gonna do the tap thing until I get all new equipment...thats ass backwards, you have a MPD32 and Macbook....thats all you need
you can say that ,but first you need to find a label who will clear it for you,and nowdays no major label fucks with samples ;) unless youre name is kanye west or 50 cent ,but do you think a major label who wanne get as much money as they can pay 1 million for a 5 sec loop?nahhhhhhhh they want that 1 million in thir pocket son, they dont care for the real hiphop, hiphop nowdays(major labels)is bitches and bubble gum ,souljah boy ,50 cent, lil wayne ,all them fakers
@BeatsNRhyms You're right. But do you like the artist? (you've noticed)
The music that they make don't have nothing to make with the hiphop back in the old days. I don't like the hiphop from nowadays (roland tr 808 drums, pitch bended vocals, house kinda beats(lil wayne)
I rather prefer the hiphop with the sampled soul records.
Damn.. money is a important thing in life.. I don't understand why people say that money doesn't.. It really changes what you see on MTV.
with that track in the beginning try not to hit the same chop too many times, makes it sound repetitive..Nothing's wrong with being repetitive but when you notice it something's wrong...and you can do the whole boon doc thing with what you have...it just takes practice...all you really need a midi keyboard and monitors (speakers) and you're good to go....for the track that you're making during the video try to make your chops a little smaller so you can freak em more...
Constructive Criticism - Slow down when you're make the beat.. to me you really wasn't listen'n to the drums & how they should've flow'd.. - the percussion's to any track has to be on point even if the sample isn't chop'd properly.. - keep it up tho'.
keep practicing...
