  • Hi David

  • The gov is printing money wile you are destroying it,

    awesome.

What are you going to cut with a zinc knife? That shits softer than aluminum.

  • That's soooooooo dangerous!

  • @MrSartak1977 rrIh

  • that's so neat! I didn't know you could do that with pennies.

  • you can heat it up faster if you get a hair dryer blowing air through a pipe into the fire

  • Quick question. What did you use to make the mold?

  • txt sooo much now i need 2 be home alone and get a TON of pennies

  • why the play dough doesn't melt?!?!?!

  • I just found a used replica of an old German boot knife. only 10 bucks at a sword shop :D

  • you do realize that destroying US currency is against the law, correct? I think I would like to make my tools in a way that is not against the law.... Not to mention I have issues following the directions of a redneck, just my prefrence of course

  • @MrSartak1977 you can probably find old copper jewelry and do this too. u know that kiddy junk that turns ur skin green

  • @MrSartak1977 Correction, defacing U.S. currency and entering it back into circulation is against the law. Otherwise, how do you explain the thousands of souvenir penny machines that located at any tourist destination? If you try to buy something with a smashed penny that had "good luck" embossed on it, the cashier would probably laugh at you.

  • Thank you SO much! I've always wanted to make my own athame, but the closest I've gotten is customizing one. You're a GENIUS! The only thing is, you might want to be careful. Melting pennies is illegal.

  • You have to be careful melting pennies, especially indoors, because the zinc releases very toxic fumes.

Great video David! The athame looks nice. :)

  • this is awesome thanx man...hey could you post a vid on the finished product...? and are the pennies strong enough for a boline ?like can i sharpen it on a grinding wheel and cut stuff with it etc...?

  • did you do extra work on the knife after you cast it? like put some binding on the handle or work the blade into an edge?

  • Excellent! I live in a condo and afraid that I might make a mess in my kitchen.

I'll be in Fort Morgan, Al to do a paranormal investigation. I'll be staying over my Auntie's home and will try to make the melting penny Athame there :-)

    Blessed Be )O( Namaste'

  • First let me say "Nice work! Simple and elegant"

But is this the simplified version?

When I made my A-THIEM-E (^o^) I went all out. I created it taking into account the the time of year, phase of the moon and the planetary hour.

    I created a full ritual.

I used specially prepared zinc ingots, specially prepared site (using the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram), specially prepared fire, mold and quenching "liquid".

    So I ask?

Did I go overboard, or is this the beginner version?

    (^o^)

  • its gonna be big in size, and really heavy.i'll leave everyone to guess what it is..heres a hint.one of its kind is used even today in pagan rituals.and soon many will use it too.

  • zinc melts at low temp.things like brass, aluminum, and peuter will take a foundry.carcole and and air compresser to heat it up. i got a surprize coming up this winter for youtube, and many are invited, but i cant say yet.if my back messes up again,i wont be able to do it.but its gonna make news in alabama.but i wish it not to.but it will.youll be able to see from the road im on.and theres a good bit of traffic.

  • WOW! Great vid. I didn't know you could melt them without special equipment. I need to try this one someday.

  • AWSOME DUDE!

Your videos are for a lack of a better word

    THE SHIT! lol

  • thanks,i plan on making a sword too.

  • This is SUCH a cool idea! I'm always wondering what to do with all those pennies I'm left-over with...to think you can melt them down and make things out of them. And that was play-doh you used for a mold? AWESOME!

  • thank you all

  • nice

  • it started rainin,so when it clears up i will

  • wow that was great you gonna show the rest of the process?

  • Great video, I don't think I have seen anyone make there own athamay here on You Tube. 5*s man.

  • "ts so nice to see these kinds of vids as the drama is pathetic" To right.

"lets get back to our indervidual crafts and work on making paganism the epic umbrella it is"
