The point is taken; the "kill kafirs" verse is sometimes quoted out of context. However, the verse is still damning to Islam for it sets a precedent of violence against non-Muslims. Murder as a MORAL DICTATE is still murder which is forbidden by God. Most certainly it is always forbidden by the command to LOVE even enemies. That loving enemies is not an Islamic virtue or is even counted a good thing among Muslims is accepted. What Muslims have, in the final analysis, is a religion of death.

Back a hundred verses it says...blah, blah, blah...and so "kill" really doesn't mean "kill"". Give me a break. If islam was that there was not any jew or nonmuslim or kafir in muslim lands left. (over a thousand years muslims ruled in Yerusalem and jews always lived there) There are a lot of books written to all suras and ayats of Qur'an. Why? To make The holy book understandable..
