  • What did you do for your power and how did you do it???

  • еще бы по русски говорили ваще цены бы небыло

  • anyword if you would upload a build plan?

  • Pretty colors!

  • that's awesome man! great work.. very cool!

  • July 17, 2011. Where is your promised DIY kit, guys?

  • Yea i hate it when kiddish college people try to post stuff that they barely learnt. Its like watch a baby learn how to walk. please finish your school first kids. leave the real world stuff to real world people.

  • Imagine if you made another, except with laser diodes instead of normal LEDs.

  • @Lordofdragons16 thatd be sick!c:D

  • uau que legal

  • I want to buy one of those please and thank you

  • Где они взяли это??

  • ZzZzZzZzZz

  • Must admit I'm not really sure what the point is. Kinda cool but it looks pretty straightforward

  • Chinese ass

    where is the course?

    you did not explain $hit

  • what kind of LEDs are those?

  • interesting...I uploaded a more interesting microcontroller+LED project. a 3D matrix is dancing

  • What kind of LEDs do you use?

  • LOL.. Cantonese.. Where r u guys from??

  • DARK VADER uuuuuu chhhhhhh uuuchhhhhh

  • uh oh news is state emergency is storm lasting 40 days maybe they said i hope it's not comin it come every 200 years i hope 300 years instead D:

  • If that was the Wii's pad, then that would convince me to buy it.

  • but will it blend?

  • you can get cool lights like these at orbitlightshow com and other rave lights. featuring constant on inovas that dont shut off after 4 min of high powered mode.

be sure to use the code " plur4ever " to get 5% off and a free gift

  • wow

  • put a touchscreen interface on it. public will buy it like crazy. :D

anyone will buy anything with a touchscreen nowadays :D

  • @dedasdude i like touchscreens^^ and i would buy one.

    very cool thing

  • wegterjzrh

  • PHILIPS AMBILIGHT !? ))))))

  • Oh this is awesome!! ~staaaare~

  • I never thought this would have a hypnotic effect on me! XD

  • You should patent this and sell it as a Computer Case Mod.. Alot of modders would love something like this in their case.

  • crazycarrotguy, yohcg: We are converting it into a DIY package with some more advanced function and design. will keep posting here!

  • you teach this and make these?! awesome!

    can i get one?

  • @crazycarrotguy @yohcg

We are converting it into a DIY package with some more advanced function and design. will keep posting here!

  • @keithlyk is the conversion done? would buy this one instead of plain spare led strips.

  • @sdemon121 Sorry, but first prototype would be in the coming Jan, 2011. Stay tune and there must be cool!

  • @keithlyk Will subscribe as I'm also interested in this!

  • @keithlyk waiting, then

  • se ve entretenido, pero cual es la utilidad, pero de verdad es entretenido esos proyectos

  • Could I buy one of those? I'm really into lights but this one really grabs my attention!

  • i want a smaller one to put in a clear xbox controller XD

  • Now that's what I call an awesome mousepad! hehe

    Very nice work!

  • Wow...that was a great course you gave there. I really learned a lot.

  • Is that alien technology...hahaha JK, but what is it and what for?

  • I could image this for studio monitor basements.

Look at this video at youtube.com/watch?v=nu3LWRPX_B8

What does it cost to make a complete platform in the video including LEDs/controller?

Just bough studio monitors, a laptop. Now missing Akai APC40 (Ableton MIDI controller for starting parts of music + tunring off audio effects) and some decent light stuff.

    :>

  • is Arduino built into the thing itself? or how you transfer n of PWM channels thus control bits over that cable?

  • @sdemon121 google.co.uk it's not hard to just search...

  • pretty

  • how did you do that???

  • werey nice and cool =)

  • ну а мерикосы педик иебаные ))

  • Seems like overkill to me, when a demux IC and a counter IC would accomplish the same things.

  • okay question, i know this is way of topic but its bugging the hell out of me. are you guys just acting to speak Japanese or is it for real?

  • @tdawg309 they're speaking Chinese... did you just try to guess an "Asian-y" sounding language when you assumed they were speaking Japanese?

  • @FTWxFilms loled so hard

  • Ok, I know absolutely nothing about programing, but I'd like to learn to program an arduino as it seems like it would be a cool platform to learn on since you can apply it to some things and it's not just all on a computer screen.

Could anyone recommend a good starter kit or board to buy? Does it come with software? What code would I need to learn?

    Thanks

  • @Grundalizer the arduino uses a language very similar to C++. It's not really hard too learn, and it's much easier than ASM.

To start out, the Arduino Duemilanove is a good choice. It has a USB port, female headers for sheilds, and the controller. It's the most used of the arduinos at the moment.

  • Fantastic to see branding still works. I just use AVR's and avr-gcc.

  • oh crap the cops

  • @blakepeary well u could sat that since cops light a now LED lol

  • Very nice, they possibilities for this board are awesome such a cheap price and so many cool projects. I am currently making a robot with an IR camera and motion sensors to watch over my house when I am gone. But controlling LED color with equations like this I find difficult VERY NICE JOB with the project.

  • Which version of arduino board is this?

  • Problem with this video. Just two guys speaking Japanese. Arigato.

  • wonderfully satisfying to watch, very inspirational.

  • I can´t wait to enjoy this lightning proyect in an Armin van Buuren or Tiesto trance concert,,

  • UFO

  • awesome can you send me full project details so that i will try this project

  • @mynextgeneration you must be kidding amigo,,,

  • Hint: Tri-color leds.

It is a very simple project.

Try a new configuration and post it on youtube so we can see :)

  • Do you have a tutorial of this?

  • These are really nice things, i also want one really big on stage. I guess it's going to be pretty expensive.

  • It looks like somthing that would generate energy..

  • only in a scifi movie lol

  • ...hguone ton tub taerg

  • is it just lights??

    what else does it do??

  • Yes, just lights, but think about what it is doing and how it is controlled.

  • arduino is so easy to work with and it's a opensource IDE so, all the good things with PIC microcontrollers compillers like CCS C or MIKROC,etc, is in arduino but the license for those compillers are so expensive, and as I said arduino is free and also have the advantage of being already made in a board with a nice AVR microcontroller and all the stuff like power supply and crystal already in it,also it can be programmed and voltage supplied by usb and there are lot's of shields for it,it's nice

  • ATMEL ATMEL ATMEL. sorry just heard PIC there for a second.

  • My only complaint, and maybe its not even well justified, is you can't dedicate the arduino to make multiple projects. With a pic, you can easily buy 5 chips, and dedicate each one on a specific circuit, then throw the circuit in the closet and not have to worry about disconnecting it. Unless somehow you can program individual chips like pics or avrs, I don't see how an arduino can really compete.

  • well, I did not understand what you said but I will try to talk what I understood: well, arduino is not something to work with, you not gonna know how to use it and be in a industry or something building projects with an arduino board... arduino is great for fast projetcs like in universities, or to learn about the basis of microcontrollers or to use if you are a hobby guy..there are some people that have so many arduino boards but it's not the kind of thing to build something and leave it there

  • also,as the board have built in basic things for the microcontroller to work, like crystal, voltage regulator, usb chip, etc,it make the arduino to be very nice to use when you have no time or no pacience or just no knowledge to make your own basic eletronic for the microcontroller to work..the microcontrollers used in arduino boards are so powerfull and have so many nice things..I have an arduino mega board and it has so many pwm and analog and digital and serial, everything,it's nice for having fun

  • Hey very nice!!!

What kind of led are you using??

  • will arduino work in vista? i wanna get an arduino mega, i just want to know if i will have to get a xp or 2000 alternative.

  • It will work in vista afaik

  • ,,,,,,did you read the post before you?!

  • Yes, but you must use "run as administrator."

  • well i had to wipe my vista out because it was gay, now i have xp. no problems :)

  • Do ypu have online classes?

  • fantastic work, is there any howto existing to realise the arduino circuit? Is the Software available? Im working on arduino hexapods but find your project very interesting.

  • Can u actully Buy one of these?

  • 0:01 xd

  • Now I now what that triangle over phoenix was. Anyway good job.

P.S That was a joke about the triangle hope it was not offensive.

  • Now imagine THAT as computer moniter.

  • No, its called "ART"

  • So your saying ART is useless?

  • if you can't eat it it is useless XD

  • LMFAO xD

  • lol i love it

  • Where in the discription did it say you couldn't eat it?

I don't see why not. I don't see why you would want to I guess.. well maybe...

  • @libed91 if you cant eat it and its keeping the bed warm its useless *)

  • Pretty cool whatever it is but english subtitles would be nice

  • sweet!!!

  • love leds

  • I assume thats using PWM to make it flash...the LED thats brightest when cycling is chosen by a mutliplexer. Out of curiosity, whey didn't they use RGB led's? Either way, this would be a really cool party item, you should see if you can get Make or someone to sell them.

  • I don't think its quite ready for parties... these things aren't exactly idiot proof...

  • No idiots at geeks parties

  • and very little alcohol, too

  • Lol project... i think you want a schematic

  • wow awesome im working at something similar to this in school at the moment however not as big scale as this

  • Very good work!

  • Die nächste Party kommt bestimmt xD

  • howd u make this?

  • WOW!! that's Very Nice Mate ;)

Can you send to me the blocked Diagram for this Project.

because I like it and i wanna to use it as A Project in my School

  • Dude that is so sweet i want to know how to either build that or where i can buy a couple that would be an awsome light show for my apartment on party nights!!!!

  • Sweet :)

  • heeyyyyyy.....a nice night light ehh

  • I always here people insult those who would designate such scientific endeavors as magic, but it seems like thats what these programmers are doing... technomagic: It's yummy. Furthermore light is compatible with nuero-alchemy or other advanced neurochemicals! Get me?

    Boil Boil Toil and Trouble,

E in the brain makes it bubble,

    toad glands, green cactus blood,

    as the cauldren burns,

    see what she does...

    Sassafrass with love and dance

even add some reed canary grass!

  • you're kinda....retarded huh?

  • my lamp does dat buy 1 from BnQ

  • do you have a schematic or code for this??

  • Adurino is awsome, i want to buy one so badly! ..And i will, but i just find the main part in the store in my country.

  • you don't have to buy it.! build your own!

  • I got tired of it just watching stuff. It's fun to program, and that can i do without an Arduino.

  • Great Course!

  • Hi Keithlyk, cool led project. Can you tell us who carries Arduino kit in Hong Kong? Is Arduino a kit or pre-assembled ? Keep up the good work.

  • does look beautiful, but what is it?

  • Where do you teach this microcontroller course?

  • I teach the course in Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, School of Creative Media.

  • wow, good work

  • wow! beautifull!
