I like the steam whistle idea. Ha. When I am in the cab of one of Indiana Transportation Museum engines we don't have any restriction of horns. My ears are almost dead.
@LocalRailfan There's two horns on the engine. The steam sounding one is for the stations to keep it light on people's ears, and there's a louder modern one one for crossings on the open line
