There is not much difference between two races but there are some race skills.. read aionsource or aonarmory and decides what skills you like more..

anyway i prefer asmodians always.. i dont like the appearance of elyos

Gladiator is a party type character.. he needs dd + healer in pve (in good pve), but he can grind alone at usual mobs.. slow, boring, but no problems with hp

War is everyday and every moment you can be killed. Every second hour enemies can get to your continent by a special portal and they can stay at the continent for very long time. Besides both races can play in the abyss so you meet there enemies every time when you go there.

War is the pvp itself. If you see enemies you kill them or they kill you. You cant speak to them they will not understand you. So only 1% chance that you will not fight at all.

You get abyss points for killing enemies everywhere and monsters in the abyss. The more abyss points you have the higher is your rank. The higher is your rank the more enemies want your head cause they will resieve more abyss points from you. You can see your pvp information in you character window and on official website (at leasts at korean server website shows that) For that abyss points yo can buy abyss armors, or wepons or jewelry or some potions (but all is very expensive)

Grinding in aion is not like that.. At 44 lvl ranger can take 50% at one day in theory. But forget the theory! Enemies kill you every 5-15 minutes and dont let you level up (there is no -% if you die from enemies but you loose too much time)

For example: the was a day when i just coudnt go out of the city.. i was killed from the back by assasins and i've lost 1200 abyss points i got so pissed of that i quit the game at that moment. My ranger was 47, and asasins were 45-50 and i could do nothing, died like rat in 3-5 seconds standing stunned without possibility even to drink a hp potion or run and getting all the series of backstubs to my back.

Assasin + ranger = great party for pvp.

Ranger slows the target, and speeps another target, assasin owns first target. - this is the short variant of discription, but together they will work very cool.

But in pve this party is not good.

No, in theory grinding in aion is not long..

But there is a problem.

At high levels it is difficult to grind because practically 5-15minutes enemies kill you (they get to your land through portals that are opend every second hour).. so you loose abyss points every time and you loose a lot of time until somebody revive you (but you dont loose %)

there is no end ^^;;

some people begin to level up crafting skills to make epic armors, another people kill hundreds of enemies and buy epic armors for abyss points..

other people go to dungeons and kill bosses to get epic instance items

other people do coin quests to get buy another type of epic armor or weapons

pvp is not only in abyss... i prefer portal system (rifting).. it give much more fun ^^

there are a lot of things what you can do in this game..

there a lot of quests too, they help to level up also, but i prefer to kill elite mobs than questing +_+

there are also series of quests that give you very cool prise.. for example epic weapon for 43 lvl quest..

the quests dont sucks like quest's of lineage II, they are normal

Beginning from 25 you can go to abyss after making some quest.. beginning from 20 lvl you can fly to the enemy's contitent through special portals.

there are also quests on the enemy's continent

besides you can grind in abyss on mobs (those mobs also give abyss points)

if you kill dragon race (different levels) you have a chance to recieve an epic drop from them also

at the sieges not only elyos and asmo partisipate in the war... dragon race also flyes on a big air ship and gets a lot of dragon mobs right inside the castle... during siege

For example: assasin vs mage or assasin vs ranger is a very fast pvp at high lvls assasin owns them both from 3+ critical hits (3-5 seconds and ranger is dead, 5-7 seconds and mage is dead)

well, if somebody attackes sorc first in most situations sorc is dead cause most of his very important skills (tree/sleep/slow) cant be casted while running..

His dmg is good but if somebody hits him he is useless cause he cant do nothing when the shield buff falls down.

If sorc starts first most melee classes are dead, rangers have some chances to survive if they shoot silence to sorc immediatly.
