dig 1 down and put torch, then put 2 dirt blocks on top, then put a repeater at any end, then just hoe the lower dirtblock then u got a monostable circuit

Finding enough redstone is not that hard. On the server my friend is running we have found tons of redstone. I think we have about 600 or more redstone dust cached. Our portal to the nether got us over 100 glowstone...and the plus we found tons of mine cart tunnels and got the track. Slimes everywhere too. It has to be one of the best seeds.

Luclin, Download ZOMBE Mod-Pack and enable 'Cheat' then when you activate cheat mode and press 'I' for default you will make the blocks around you invisiable, good for when you are digging to try and link up with the fortress under the ground. Just an idea.
