  • when i put the ILS on, i get a beeping sound all the time, yet it lands perfectly, please help?

  • @bostock9255 That's morse code. It's the airports code (KPBI) etc. It means it has a fix on the frequency and is navigating toward the airport.

  • @reaperboy36 yes i know now, thanks anyway, im a nooby, so ifr/ils landings aren't always reliable for me now, i've started the good old VFR ;) but, is there anyway to get rid of the beeping sound, even though its illeagle to turn it off in the real world.

  • wow, this really really helps!! gunna try this out soon on some fs 2002, yeh!! lol, so when would you start the ils procedure?

  • you disengage the A/P 100ft before touchdown not when you touchdown

  • I no exactly how to do an ILS landing, the problem is I can never do it because the game crashes or glitches, so irritating! Anyone else have this problem? I can never complete a full flight without the game crashing, I never get to land :(

  • Nice!

  • @dunemoonbeam3 Try watching the video again and make sure everything is set up correctly

  • That approach was WAY to steep and it was basically a controlled stall onto the runway...

  • @MrTornadoman97 I was going too slow on finals

  • @flightsimy True, but good vid otherwise

  • Hard landing

  • Nice tut!! helped me almost 90% on my landing skills..just 1 probelm... how do u manage the descent rate if everything is on Auto-Pilot? And what difference does it make by switching on either Approach Hold or Nav Hold button? PLEASE HELP!!!

    Thanks

  • @abir123 Approach hold will do the approach for you and Nav hold is for the GPS/NAV

  • @flightsimy It doesn't work. When I click APP button my plane doesn't descend to the runway. However, it takes up position to the runway.

  • @abir123 Approach Hold will allign you with the runway heading, but Altitude hold/VSR are disengaged, leaving you to control rate of descent. On the other hand Nav hold alligns you to the runway if on GPS mode, but Altitude hold/VSR are controlled by autopilot too. on the whole, fo me Approach Hold enssures I are alligned with the runway during final descent, while I simply follow the Glideslope to the edge of the runway, while watching my speed and attitude. Perfect for bad whether.

  • I'm having trouble with the 747. I've looked at several guide videos but it never gets me lined up with the runway. The flight controllers lead to to some position about 20 miles East of Honk Kong intl (or at least one of them. The one with the parallel strips) and then give the landing to me. So I figure I need to turn to heading 253 (heading of landing strip) and turn on APP but it always puts me to the right a bit. I have no problems with setting the NAV frequency. Just having ILS trouble.

  • can u plzzzz tell me how to aplly brakes...n also my plane starts turning to d left and right side after touch down...how do i control dat + evrytym i land,i run short of runway.my plane doesnt stop and it goes into d ocean!

  • @BBVAGoals Apply the breaks by holding the full stop (period) key on your keyboard, and when stoppped, press CTRL + . to apply parking breaks. As for the issue of touching down, it could be a problem with your joystick (if you have one), or, if you have autopilot on, it is trying to go the direction that is set on, so press Z to disengage autopilot. Another way of braking, a bit more complex, but, if you go into 2D cockpit mode, find the dial called auto brakes, and set that to 1,2,3 or RTO

  • @tobster911 i have like landied 2-3 times but sumtyms wt happens is when my autopilot intercepts d g/s,it doesnt keep the g/s at d right lvl!it starts descending vry fast and so,my plane lands when i am like 2nm away from d runway!but it happens only sumtyms!wt should i do?

  • @tobster911 and also shpuld i tyurn off a/p when i am approaching d runway thrashhold(when i am vry near to d runway like amyb 200feet) or when my rear wheels touch d runway as said in d video, coz other vids say that tyurn off d a/pb4 touching down when u r near d runway!PLZZZ help me!i wanna land!!!

  • please tell me hoow to line up with a runway using 747.....

  • @lolxxzz1 If you're having trouble, press CTRL+3 and zoom in on the GPS, a green line will appear. Get the plane in between the two lines (almost shaped like an arrow) and keep it directly in the middle

  • @tobster911 bro i do exactly the same as u said it line up with the runway but never land exactly ok the runway as u land in ur video....and when i turn off the auto pilot about 8nm away from the airport it detrack from the runway and at that moment i again turn on the auto pilot....that confuze me ....ur comment will highly appriciated!!

  • If using IFR will this still work for low visibility when trying to follow headings and that?, this video really helped me a lot thanks

  • @ardig32 IFR Sould work work in most weather conditions, obviously not extreme winds etc, but it won't be an issue in the low visibility

  • only joking yo homie whats is that game called:Ç

  • @thaynara6955 Flight Simulator X, and here's a good tip, don't call it a game when talking to enthusiasts as they will rage on you. lol.

  • @thaynara6955 EDIT: Sorry it's actually Flight Simulator 2004 but I'd recommend getting Flight Simulator X as it is the newest.

  • my granny drives better than that

  • Those two planes @ the start are the Best Planes ive ever seen

    I <3 mj and Qantas 747!!!

  • @flightsimy my autopilot master wont lead to me to my destination! HELP ME!!!

  • @LyricsManiac90 did you follow the video correctly? have you tried a different aircraft?

  • @LyricsManiac90 one hint: you NEED to be in the GLIDE-SLOPE! Go to 2000 and watch on your "radar" for entering it; then activate the APPROACH button. (glide-slope is the green arrow you can see on the radar or map before the runway) I hope this helped, if not you can send a a personal message and i'll explain it better.

  • @TheQuicksHD it is the period key ( . ) and the slash key for air brakes ( / ) and hold F2 for reverse thrust! Enjoy!

  • @flightsimy thanks great help!

  • Can this also be used on FSX?

  • @TheExcalibur356 yes it can!

  • Lol where the fuck did the runway on the poor visibility landing come from?

  • I need information about the airbus 380 and 747 and 777 Do I turn off the altatude manual or will go off automatic Just like the 737 on ILS appoch.

  • @slcldsprovo It should go off automatically

  • @flightsimy Does autopilot control my alt?

  • WHY SO MANY WHEELS????

  • @kohelo56 because the A380 weighs over 650 tonnes at its maximum take off weight..

  • @flightsimy Adam, your still alive!

  • @flightsimy It weighs 700 tonnes when Kohelo's mom is in it ;)

  • hello' i would like to get the logo's add on for the most common airlines,,can u post a links to download it?

  • @PRELUDE2002 What's that?

  • cant wait to play :D------ oh no im driblin'

  • @Kingkong8000RBLX aha! :')

  • where did you find the internet? (you told me to write a question so i did!)

  • @Kingkong8000RBLX Funny you should say that, I just finished a large report on the history of the internet!

  • Does it do the same on FSX acceleration?

  • @Pilotguy225 yes

  • hard landing lol!!

  • @roque1398 Indeed, but we landed it so it is alright!! xD

  • where do you download fs9 at?

  • @seasonsxoxo You have to purchase it, you can buy it from Amazon for around £9 ..but I'm sure if you look around hard enough you will be able to find a torrent or something for it..

  • That's not an ILS landing, that's an autoland.

  • @blueb0g touché. Although many people find this video through the key term ILS which is the main reason it says that!

  • @flightsimy thanx bro! You helped me a lot, iwill try to do it today or tomorrow (as possible) and Ĩ̸̸̮̮ will inform you! . By the way are you a real pilot?? Cuz ur an expert!

  • @FaoodX No, I have used the sim for quite a few years and flown for many virtual airlines. Although I don't do much currently. I am planning some videos to upload soon, some with some nice twists!

  • How do Ĩ̸̸̮̮ know the altitude for the glideslope To work??

  • @FaoodX I use the PAPI lights by the side of the runway, but I'm sure if you search online you could find information for glide slopes at each airport

  • @flightsimy thanxxxx!! And sorry for my too much qeustions but how do you know by the papi lights???

  • @FaoodX No problem! I'm happy to help. The lights are located either left or right of the runway and you are looking for two reds and two yellows

three reds and one yellow - too low

four reds - way too low (I would probably recommend going round at this point)

one red and three yellows - too high

four yellows - way too high (again I would probably recommend going round)

I hope that has helped :)

  • @flightsimy ya you helped a lot broo thanx soo much Ĩ̸̸̮̮ even subbed for you!!you have an amazing channel

  • i cant set the freqency

  • @Georgeruby12 Try a different Aircraft

  • it works for fsx but where is the a/p master switch and approach hold switch shown at 1:35

  • @vidyagotmare it is different for each aircraft

  • Can we used this for fsx also does it work?????

  • @djmayon100 yes it does

  • do we have to set the heading??????and do we have to press the heading swicth also??? and do we have to set the redio to equal.... Eg. 109.90 and 109.90???

  • @djmayon100 You don't have to set the heading and and you only need to have the number in the active slot on the radio

  • very nice n' thanks for timely reply to a beginner like me...,at last I was able to properly takeoff ,cruise ,n' land....in the night...after just month of my struggle with FS9 .all credits to dudes like u ,who with lots of sincere concern gave tips ....as suggested by another dude I was able to get fraps and post my vid soon....thanks again

  • @vkn128 Nice to know I can help!! If you have any questions just ask me!

  • thanks for this. it really helped me

  • @BAMItzDrizzle No problem!

  • Sure hope this works, its very foggy at Schiphol (EHAM) at the moment, landing the default 737 there, tried it by hand, but its to much fog, couldn't see a damn thing, had to do a go around. I punched in the frequency and switched to NAV1, but your not clear on when to turn the Heading Hold off and turn the Approach Hold on?

  • @behangman when you are within the green area shown near the beginning of the video

  • @flightsimy I figured everything out a few weeks ago with the help of an other video from a Autoland at KLAX. Works like a charm, thanks for your comment anyway!

  • u shud turn off auto pilot before landing so u can flare and make it smooth

  • @Mshirazee This is true, but this was just a basic video!

  • sir, i dont think A380 is the best aircraft for this tut, u shud use a lighter plane lika 737..... or A321

  • @Mshirazee I don't understand what you mean, it doesn't seem to make much difference to me..

  • what is the altitude for the glide slope?

  • @FaoodX It is different for the majority of airports. Usually a standard glideslope is around 3 degree angle or for 10 miles you should be at 3000ft

  • does it land automatically or wat??

  • @ezuandy8228 Yes it does, this video shows you how to set it up!

  • IT wont descend

  • @metalskateboarder965 Make sure you have followed all the instructions correctly, otherwise it won't descend..

  • do you not need glideslope intersection altitude?

  • nice.....dude , i am a beginner....since i don't know the speed to set at touch down i tried at 160 but after applying the airplane swirl around wildly...goes off runway ...pl lemme know the other parameters settings like the speed on touch down ,....

  • @vkn128 Thank you! and the landing speed is different for each aircraft and it's weight, let alone the weather conditions. If you tell me what Aircraft it is and the weight and weather I could give you an approximate

  • @flightsimy

thanks for reply 'm using airbus a380 ,Air France..just down loaded...doing flight bet seattle - vancover Inl....I couldn't stop ...I landed ,thanks to your nice tip to guide the plane nav n' app still it goes beyond rwy and stop ..I touch down at 170 ...

    vkn128 27 seconds ago

  • @vkn128 when you say you couldn't stop, is this after you landed. If so this could be auto throttle. When you switch of A/P master switch I think the auto throttle stays on, so that might be the issue..

  • When ever i do ILS it doesn't flare.

  • @Zishan197 You should actually turn off the autopilot at minimums, wich is 400ft. Then, land the aircraft manually :)

  • @ZachLagrandeur Yeaa, thanks:)

  • @Zishan197 Whenever I do ILS I switch off Autopilot at around 10ft to flare!

  • Do you have to already be lined up with the runway before you press the approach button or will it do that for you?

  • @DTl315 It will do it for you as long as you are within the green approach path seen on the map

  • @telosfd That is what you have to do...

  • Works great to me

  • Thx so much but does it still work with fsx???

  • @97alcons yes i have FSX and it works great for me

  • @97alcons yes it does

  • Thank you very much, ignore the awkward people commenting on your landing, it was fine, this is FSX not real life!

  • I remember I wanted to get ILS done correctly for a long time when I was a newbie. :p Took me like 2 weeks to fix it all, like sometimes it won't line up with rwy, or too high etc. So don't give up, keep testing out! Save the flight just before you start ILS, and you can boot up that flight to test without having to take off all the time.

  • i think using autoland is lazy!! i no its better if your wanting to be a pilot and learning new skills then fine but it prob more fun doing it yourself !! : ) Happy Flying

  • @JustSimulator i think its better doing an ILS theres a less chance of doing cross wind landing and you get too look out the wing veiw when ur landing without having to pilot the plane

  • @yungjay112 and as a real pilot thats what most do in reality

  • ot s great video, but my boeing 737 -400 falls when i trun it on..... and other question - When i must turn approach on? thanks a lot for ansver.

  • where do you download the b380 cockpit and virtual cockpit?

  • Um Where do You Have to be for this to work

  • THX a lot! rly helped but 1 question, like it lines me up with the runway but it literally doesnt land itself, i have 2 do that manually. Is that normal or is there 1 other thing i have to do? thx

  • Does the switch need to be set on NAV or GPS?

  • The approach was too high!

  • Anyone know why my 737 goes into a nose dive and crashes? thanks..

  • Thanks alot! this really helped cuz the past few years i play FS9, i always do my landing visually lol

  • awesome .. all other tutorials have those parts 1 - 4 etc and you just broke it down to 4 minutes !!!

  • nice vid! but your supposse to fly manual and turn a/p off ten seconds before touchdown :)

  • hey flightflimsy by the way when you set it to whatever and the auto hold does it land by itself and that video was really helpfull thxs

  • how u get fs9 ??? which one is it

  • do you have to land by yourself?

  • @marbleblastfan it does line up for you.

  • @pilotorafael1 - Nobody knows what you just said.

  • Also on the plane im flying it dosen't have an ILS switch as yours does

  • great video, know i know how to do it but there are a couple of things i don't understand if anyone could help me. okay so i take off in 5 flaps, put my wheels up and climb. then i switch on the autopilot for Altimeter and Heading. I set my navigation as you have shown to get ready for landing. How does the ILS start to work when coming in too land? what other buttons do i have to press to land ILS. Do i have to be a certain distance out (like 5 miles).

  • @MrAaront703 Thre is an airspace for every airport indicated with bold light blue lines, you can check this on your map or more easily on your GPS (Shift+3). When you enter thre click the APP button.

Let me know if thre is any other problem. I will try to help you out. Beeping can also be heard when you are in range of ILS Radio Waves.

  • @uzairazizsuria1 thank you. i heard the beeps last time, so i must have done it right but landed a bit late down the runway.

  • @MrAaront703 well i think that depends upon the speed. It is more advisable to disengage the auto pilot about 200-300 ft, because it does not have the ability to flare up, so you'll have to do the touch down manually. Moreover the manual landing is much smoother!

  • good video

  • @Pat97patCP depending on the plane you are flying once you are about 300-500 feet over the runway you disengage the a/p and autothrottle and hand fly the last 500 feet. This is called minimums which most people don't understand on YouTube. Make sure that when you disengage the a/p and autothrottle your throttle is at idle, your spoilers are armed, your autobrakes set accordingly to runway length (usually 2 or 3), your gear is down, and you are ready to flare the aircraft.

  • Does it work with FSX?

  • I am kind of new to ILS landings, are you basically saying that the plane lands itself?

  • at what stage in the flight would you press the approch button, ie if your plane wasnt lined up would it move into place?

  • did you just change weather settings at 3:09

  • Hey guy, just letting you know that all autopilots should be disengaged at about at least 1000 to 400 absolute. Autopilots do not do a good job of flaring in real life or in fs. That should be in the checklist of the aircraft you are flying. =) Good luck.

  • LOL "farewell Michael Jackson"...

    anyway yeah.. farewell mj... :))

    thanks for that!

  • Two questions. At 2:50 how did you get it to look so realistic? What are your settings. And 2 is it the Project Airbus A380 and where can you download from, because I can't seem to get it from their website

  • hi where did u get the plane from

  • which vertion of flight sim is that?

  • So can it descend at the right rate itself?

  • Comment removed

  • lovely aircraft! from where?!?!?

  • love the music! haha great video

  • Thanks for the tip... I used to circle around several times the runway for a good manual landing. This is very helpful :D A380 FTW.

  • what plane

  • do u need to do flaps and the gear

  • @spam536 You obviously need the gear

  • Does the Plane land by it's self ?

  • where did you get the A380 from emirates??

  • Thank you!

finally i will be bale to land the plane in a poor visibility instead of crashing it!! :S

  • ITS AN emirates a380

  • where do u buy fs9 from

  • eBay

  • @TEMPLARLEGEND1 amazon

  • nice vidoe but i got a question when ther airplane toch the groung it go to the left ???

  • hey what plane were you using

  • it wont work for me :{ plz reply

  • same it won't work for me too if in A380

  • And what is your airplane on your video?

  • How I can open the radio in Airbus A380-900?

  • There are lot of Freeware site where you can DL Aircraft.

  • where did u get that version of the Airbus A380. Was it CLS, PMDG, WILCO etc?

  • WOW, thanks, I never knew that is was that easy!

  • can i do that from take off or do i ave to do it in the air

  • On apporach
