  • Noticed you used a hazer did you have the smoke detectors disabled so they didn't trigger?

  • @MrGr8guns Past experience has shown me not to bother asking the venue to omit a zone as 9/10 they usually say their system cant (lie) or they become aware of your intentions of using haze and tell you outright not to. Only set off a fire alarm once with a haze machine and i was going a bit heavy, if used right, almost constantly and very fine theres not normally any problem imo. smoke machines would be a big no no! I suss out where the detectors are in a room then dont place the unit under them

  • nice show i realy like the laser i dont like the movingheads i know them the are very weak

  • @ljmike1204 Cheers for the comment and watching my video, just out of curiosity what do you mean by weak? the programming, light output, build quality??? These are 150W Discharge effects and p*ss over the Discharge Martin Scanners and i've had them a few years now and nothings gone wrong with them and they still look new (touch wood).. not a touch on some Elation or MAC Moving Heads... mmm tasty!

  • @admdisco well the moving heads i know that look like that are jb system imove 5 the suck so badly if you shine a hti150 moving head over it you cant tell if its on or off the scaners i have are 250w on 24v but i realy want the new LED scaners from ADJ the vizi scan LED pro

  • @ljmike1204 these are the same as the jb systems, just marketed by prolight, i know they do 2 versions; a 250W 24V and a much brighter 150W HID, These are the HID versions, My Roboscans are 150W HTI and aren't as bright (though the optical system is older and i think they need re-lamping, lol) LED is defo the future but i'm still waiting for the performance and price to match that of a discharge fixture (would be nice never to have to change the lamps though)

  • @admdisco yea i cant aford the HTI effeckts i have only 2 showtec roto scaners 2 led par,s and 2 mega bar 50 rgb rc 1 mega bar 1 200mW RGY laser 1 1200W foger and the snowflurry 2 400W building spot

  • HI nice set up again, moving heads ok on top of spks? I have same, never throught about putting them there was thinking about a totem pole , as you see in a lot of american dj logs.

  • @goldensoundsdisco I've put them on stands before but its just more to set-up, lol. Theyre discharge bulbs so theres not really a filament as such to break with the vibration the only cocnern would be someone falling into them, i usually ratchet strap my speaker stacks and run the ratchet over the base casing of the moving head to keep it all secure. Just use your best judgement really, this was okay for a large venue with a family atmosphere but in a smaller place for an 18th or 21st id worry
