@mrkrinkle72 I remember this show and Jason of Star Command on Saturday mornings. I remember seeing the Loki action figure on the top shelf at Woolworths as a kid. Nice to see other people haven't forgotten this show.
OMG! i remember this show!! I had the BIGGEST CRUSH on Laura, lol..I was just a kid..I forgot the name of the show all of these years..Princess Lea and Laura were my girls bak in da day:)
I remember this show from my childhood - I especially remember seeing the Academy asteroid on screen - but I could not remember the name of the show! Thanks for posting this clip. The show must have made a big impact on me, as I was only 6 when the show was on and I'm 40 now. I'm surprised only 15 episodes were made....
i loved the great Joanthan Harris! too bad he had to deal with a remote controlled Beepo instead of the classic bobby headed booby from Lost IN Space!
I just saw an old 80's movie that had Brian Tochi in it...MST3K were bashing the movie. Can't remember the title though. Apparantly...this guy never turned anything down in his illustrious movie career.
Certain things were good about this series. But I wish the scripts were better. The 38th Century thing I didn't get; And the absence of spacesuits, and gravity was always normal. Space 1999 was good...except for the nuclear waste that could launch the moon out of the solar system bit.
i had a johnathan harris action figure from this show i got at woolworths it was so cheap it melted in the sun into a pool of plastic lol

"SPACE ACADEMY" was a true jewel,to the 25 year history of Filmation, and its
accomplishments! this 1977 CBS Sat. Morning series had an unquestionably
superior cast, headed by former LOST IN SPACE co-star Jonathan Harris, and
the Multi-Talented Pamelyn Ferdin,,arguiably the finest child and teen star, ever
in the late 60s and 70s. this series would also spin-off "JASON OF STAR
COMMAND" in 1978,of which Arthur H Nadel created-another impressive person
to be remembered.

I'm wondering if in the future all style will have fluctuated back to 1970s aesthetics.

@JEEminn3000 I don't know if you've seen it but she appears on a Star Trek TNG episode as a sultry holodeck distraction for Riker. Very hot.

@JEEminn3000 Oops! It was Carolyn McCormick not Maggie Cooper.

This was Mr.Harris' second and last tv space series..but?
Unlike"Lost In Space"..he plays a kindly heroe and leader here..
not a comedic villian.
