  • Is that latin? I'd like the translation, but can seem to find it.

  • wow - beautyful - blessings!

  • I love Omnia - grreat music - Love&Light - Eva Folk (singer/songwriter)

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!

  • @NewGeneralLudd : Jesus did so, so he could show the people arround what mercy really ment as for the fact that God has mercy on us by sendig his own Son to our world... to die for our sins...

can you emagine you loving an ant?...

    siriously, it's wicked...

he hung out with bad people, to show compassion and love to "Everyone"...

  • @LevayDeLaVega

Died for our sins? My sins? What did I do? Being born having to work off sins I didn't commit is not merciful. Don't play it as such.

  • christianity is widely misunderstood. you may have heard that before, coming from the very mouth of an ultraconservative, bible thumping, fundamentalist. if you have, i don't blame you if you take my words with a grain of salt. (or three million tonnes of salt)... but it is. it's misunderstood and misapplied.

  • @phr4nk3rd00d13 Actuslly, christianity is very misunderstood. The Church has always based its ethics on the teaching of Paul more than Christ. Jesus, at the end of the day, was a ridgidly aposed to religious hierachy, hung around with prostitutes instead of priests and was eventually murderd because of his radical teachings. I think most christians missunderstand Christianity, If they took a leaf out of Jesus's book the world would be a better place.

  • Nice...

  • If Orthodox Christianity did not exist, I would be drawn into celtic paganism. However, I wonder, where do pagan folk find their examples of love and strength?

  • @grittygreenhorn there, where the christians are not looking for them, like in the kiss of a beloved person, the smell of fresh cut grass, the song of a bird in the midsummer night, flowers, the shadow of a tree... they find it in the nature ;)

  • @Lycas666 You do realize that Christians are encouraged to enjoy these things, don't you? We view them as gifts from the Lord.

on a side note, can anyone tell me what the la vanadera stuff means?

  • @songfreak1745 sry, but the christians i know, try to find strength in prayers and churches, in old textbooks they call holy. i never met one who really knew of the magic which lies in nature. my apologies for that. i spoke based on my own experiences.

  • @Lycas666 Of course, our primary source of strength is the Word of God. And of course we pray and go to church. But we see natural beauty as witness of God's goodness. Psalm 19: 1 says, "The heavens declare the goodness of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork." When I see the sunlight filtering through the trees, or the clouds in a blue sky, I find strength because it's like God is telling me He loves me. :)

  • @songfreak1745 I recently had a three hours-or-so discussion with a friend about literally god and the world, so i know where this is going ^^. but i think we agree that nature is something great where you can draw a lot of strength and love for yourself, wether you believe god created this or who else :) Erisian 19 :11 says: " Don't pray up to heaven, while you shit on the earth. deny not the mother who gave us our birth."

  • @Lycas666 What's more fun than a long discussion about religion on YouTube? :) And what makes you think that your friend and I are going to say the same things? btw, I might not reply after this, cuz i've finals xP What's Erisian? (I could google it, but I want to learn it from you.)

Christians do not deny the gift that God gave us in creating the earth, but we, unlike pagans, see it as further proof of the infinite love of our Heavenly Father. It's different.

  • @songfreak1745 I think you may have similar points of view because you are both chritians who really have faith, are open minded and didn't try to convert me so far ;) being honest, i just wanted to make a important sounding quote like you and stole it from the booklet of Omnias "Live Religion" Album. The correct reference is: ' The Triple Prophet Jesimi MMIV Erisians 19:11' and i have no idea what it means, sry :D but i think it is a rather wisely spoken quote, given our situation today.

  • @songfreak1745 P.S. Good Luck with your Finals :) Also it seems Google has no real answer to where this quote is from. But i am not surprised, given that omnia used it, so it is pagan and the real paganists don't appear in the interwebs ;)

  • @Lycas666 Thanks. The tests went well. And as for not trying to convert you, well, my only duty is to present coherently what I believe and leave the rest up to God. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I wasn't trying to make an important-sounding quote; I thought the BIble could say it better than I could. I Googled Erisian and found something on Wikipedia about Discordianism. Is that it? :)

  • @songfreak1745 Glad to hear your tests went well :) I never wanted to say that you just wanted to make an important quote it was the other way round, i tried to ;) Discordianism doesn't quite sound right, but you know what, forget about it ;) i think the messages in songs of omnia are pretty easy to understand. No matter whre you're from, what you believe in, which language you speak. you will find peace, love and strength in the nature around you, if you just want to. that is kind of my believe

  • @Lycas666 I agree.

  • @songfreak1745 finally ;D pagans win!!! just kidding ^^ Merry Christmas (ironic, isn't it) ;)

  • @Lycas666 Lol!! Pagans win? :) It just so happens that your statement was broad enough to encompass most of the world's worldviews. We both agree that nature is good and beautiful: you see nature as giving love and strength by itself and I see it as merely witness of the all-knowing Creator and Father's love and care. And Merry *Christ*mas to you!

  • @songfreak1745 see, the same way ended the discussion with my friend ;) merry Julfest, wintersunnavend or a peaceful holy night^^

  • Does anybody know what language they're chanting in...? Is it Old English? Because it doesn't sound like it. Or is it just nonsensical?

  • @AutumnGracy normally they sing gaelic and english

  • @AutumnGracy they use dutch sometimes, too

  • This somehow reminds me of "La Rotta"...go music that would fit an awesome medieval-styled campfire evening! ;-)

  • I love this song, and I'm a kid. People need to look at the small alive things that make our world beautiful.

  • Epic fart at the end!

  • @maggielovethomas4eve it means:

    doddess vana

    sweet vernal goddess

    dance for vana

    hail goddess of spring

  • @ankya2 Yeah i guess you might be right about that. thanks a lot anyway

  • See them live yesterday! absolutly awesome!

  • if they don't sing in english

does anyone know what they sing then?

    i want to understand, but i can't

can anyone transelate those parts for me?

ps. sorry for any mistakes in my english (i'm dutch) ;)

  • @maggielovethomas4eve Vana Dea probably means Goddess Vana ( a Goddess from Tolkien's MiddleEarth of beauty, flowers and spring.) The rest sounds like jabber to me: these aren't words just nice sounds, like tralala. It is not uncommon to have words without meaning in folksongs or children's rhymes.

  • @maggielovethomas4eve Also, and maybe more important, notice that they sing: "Can you hear the words that I sing?" before they start singing jabber. In other words do you get the meaning, even if we sing in words that don't make a lot of sense. Or do they? This isn't math. It's not about logic. It's about feeling, feeling alive. Just a thought. :)

  • @maggielovethomas4eve

  • Listen to this while reading Sigurd's Saga(you can find it on Youtube or Amazon)!

  • Thank you for posting one of my favourite songs. This was just what I needed to sothe my depression! <3 Blessings from an American Catholic who loves paganfolk and vikingmetal! \m/

  • Nederlands trots.

  • one of the best i heard!!!!!

  • Luka left because of Steve! :(

  • @moes1996 Who told you that?

  • @Maksimfan

It's true and im not gonna tell!

He didn't want to give Luca his money!

  • @moes1996

No that's not true. They had a fight because Luka thought he deserved MORE money than Stenny already gave him. Steve never said he didn't want to give that money to Luka. But he and Jenny didn't understand why Luka suddenly didn't trust them anymore. So because of that lack of trust they couldn't go on and Luka left the band, despite Stenny's efforts to talk it over and find a solution. So don't blame Steve, he and Jenny tried to settle this with Luka but he was too stubborn, I guess.

  • @un1cornbabe Steve should have just given Luka more money and there wouldn't have been a problem. Luka was a major contributor to Omnia. He shouldn't have needed to argue for it.

  • @paganbirdkeeper666 well that's bullshit, you know. should stenny do everything luka wants just to keep him happy so he stays in the band? no! if anyone is to blame for his departure, it's luka. he's the one who left! stenny tried very hard to prevent that from happening. plus: you don't even have a clue what happened! so who are you to judge, then? why all the anger towards stenny? well, if you're so fond of luka, go listen to his new band Illiana or whatever that crappy group is called..

  • @un1cornbabe Well what the hell do you know about it? Are you in the band ?

I don't have anything against Stenny and I will continue to listen to Omnia. But Luka was an improtant part of the band and bands lose something when an original member leaves. I already listen to Luka;s new band. It's pretty good.

  • @paganbirdkeeper666 I'm not in the band, no, but I've spoken to some of the bandmembers about this. Not just Stenny, but some ex-Omnia members as well. I'm not making this up, you know. I agree with you, it's a pity Luka left. But I'm just saying you shouldn't jump to conclusions when you don't know what's going on :-)

Iliana's music isn't bad, it's just so repetitive and 'easy' and I don't like that..

  • @un1cornbabe This stuff happens within bands all the time, it usually ends with the band going down. I hate to see it because Omnia is one of my fave. bands. Them and Faun.

All I'm saying is money isn't everything. It may have been better for Omnia to given him a bit more to save their band.

You gotta admit they don't sound nearly as good without Luka.

Iliana does need some improvements , you are right about that.

  • @paganbirdkeeper666 Yes, you have a point there.

Daphyd is a better didgeridoo player than Luka.. I do miss his vocals, though. And yes, Omnia sounds different.. but I think their greatest loss was Joe, and not Luka. Their guitar'sound' has changed drastically...

  • oh my god this is so beutiful.

  • beautiful and hardcore are finally one

  • This is so beautiful! Makes you wanna dance! Makes you feel alive!

Can you feel the music move you? Can you feel alive today? Oh, yes I can! :)

  • JUST GREAT!!!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BB

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • magical really REALLY beautiful love love love it will make you good mood no matter what just wonderful nothing less

  • Que padre canción.

  • @starchild5266 i did woke up listening this amazing today , and my whole day went amazing.

  • NiCe SonG :D

  • This is wonderful, I love it!

  • Love ,Love, Love.

  • a great song...I love it!!!

  • Thank you. I love the songs of Omnia perhaps the world would be better if we all listened to the message.

  • @bdmacmahon1 I agree, for sure :) But it's not hard to listen to this beautifull message.

For most of us it's just hard to not be distracted from it in daily live :S

  • This is the first time I listen to Omnia and I instantly fell in love with them ^^

  • Feels like coming home.

  • As my mom might say, this is GAWDAWFULL

  • I love the celtic sound mixed with the didgeridoos, very unique sounding.

  • yay pagan folk music! :D

    Hail Odin! :3

  • tonight is the first time i have come across your music and i love it. you have made my day now. thanks you for sharing your great talent

  • Hey guys, stop feeding the troll and just let the music calm you down; this music is much too positive to be tainted by the comments of a hateful, ignorant cad.

  • Comment removed

  • they're AWESOME!! I'd love to see them live *_*

  • @vamarnia95 i saw them live and they are much better live than from cd <3

  • What language is this?

  • @ProneToDisaster

    orcish

  • @oharov Right :)

  • heyy thats my name ! :o

    this is so cool :p

  • this is a pure soul song it let you flow away on a bed of leaves

  • @MurderByFluoride Would not good be the greatest weapon against evil, and by definition the light to triumph over the darkness? For Hate is the emotion we feel when we are in the dark places plotting against those who wish to aid, but it is when the light breaks through we are set free.

Besides if you think hate is a "good" thing then wouldn't that be putting love as an "evil" thing. Because nothing that is good can have evil in it and nothing that is evil can have good in it.

  • @MurderByFluoride what the... hate causes more evil last time i checked.

  • then you are evil and corrupt in your ways and need to find your own path

  • @MurderByFluoride i have my own mind in my own head, my thoughts are my own. i disagree with much of what i am taught but my beliefs are my own. i will cease this arguement as hate will destroy your very self. please do not reply to this, i would rather never to hear from you or your comrades in hate again.

  • @MurderByFluoride thanks to you this song is now ruined for me forever. memory by association. all people deserve respect until they prove by their own actions they do not. those of colour were our slaves for so long, by kindness we can make amends. always remember the law of three, it works with words and feelings to.

may the mother forgive your hate.

  • @MurderByFluoride i know my norse myths fine thanks but the vikings were a very violent people so what does that have to do with the modern day where non-whites make up a huge part of our workforce. i am not jew paid but i have some friends who are jews and they are lovely people. though i disagree with christians there is one hymn i agree with: 'and the creed and the colour and name won't matter'

show some kindness. i don't want to argue-i just want you to accept i have my own view.

  • @MurderByFluoride I am white but that does not mean I am better than any other on this planet, this music is music for pagans where the belief is held that whoever tyou are, whatever your colour you are equal. in my eyes people of colour have out-evolutioned us, they evolved to deal with the burning sun of their home while, we, pale people have to survive with the aid of suncream.

never, ever insult ANYONE for their appearance. no one can chose the parents they are born to. I tried politeness.

  • @MurderByFluoride what you have said could be construed as rude by people of colour. NEVER use such a word, as people can take offence.

  • I blast Classical music in my truck, I'd love to get some hydrolics to go along with it and one of Omnia's records.

  • @MurderByFluoride I don't dislike rap. I listen to it sometimes. But I like some variety. This is a nice song. I don't mind when they blast rap songs, but I wish they would blast this, or polka, for a change.

  • @kolpinj Im African American and I listen to this... Hey, maybe im the only one, but trust me, not EVERY black person listens to rap music and all that foolishness

  • @SkyCladHeart Good on you by the way

  • @SkyCladHeart I actually like rap. But I like some variety, and it seems like everyone who installs stereo systems with thumping bass in their cars only plays rap. I listen to lots of different music. I can find something to like about almost any genre. It's too bad there are only a few things the majority of people listen to. I don't hear songs like this unless I look for them myself.

  • @kolpinj than you should look for "dance till we die" also by Omnia

  • @FernandVos Thanks for the suggestion. Folk rap. A novel idea. I liked the song. It didn't have the bass and the head-nodding rhythm of other rap songs, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Awesome song.

  • @SkyCladHeart I'm black too, and I listen to this. I hate rap...Power to ya ;)

  • @SkyCladHeart in 34856594704 b.c. violet people will listen gold music and and orange people will listen yellow music of green people and jesus will be the best musician of the universe

  • @andremala91 and pink panthers will still be unusual...

  • @SkyCladHeart Do you know what I would like? African Pagan Folk Metal. That would be great. Fucking great.

  • @SkyCladHeart

dude, you should seek out your own possible religious heritage (imo) and find it. any kind of paganism, animism or shamanism kicks the ass of modern mid eastern religions just because they generally don't require slaying of others or don't threaten them by burning in hell forever.

any religion that respects all living beings rules in my opinion (and paganic/shamanic beliefs are kinda good at that)

  • @SkyCladHeart rest assured that you are not the only one that listens to this music, my girlfriend also listens to this and she is African American aswell.

  • @SkyCladHeart rap hip hop aint all that bad if you know where to look say artists like immortal technique, sick since, lost children of babylon, warcloud, life scientist, son of saturn, atma, illuminati congo, pharaohz, and more

    all great artists

  • @waggabiggadoo Finally someone who admires true hip hop...Gosh I'm tired of people saying that rap is for fools etc etc..Well I dont blame them really..Its kinda disgusting really but if you know what to listen then it is pure awesome..

  • @SkyCladHeart i dont see a contradiction here...this music transcends all that.

  • @SkyCladHeart Dude, why can't people like both? I've heard the same thing said on here about heavy metal. I like heavy metal, rap, AND this kind of music,

  • @JuliatheCoolest

Most rap can't really be called music...

  • @Flyingtart There's a decent bit of rap with meaningful rhymes. It's a brilliant and impressive style, especially when done well. Don't generalize from the shitty mainstream to all rap.

  • @SirRebrl

Sugarhill Gang and old school rap and hip hop might be good, but when some guy who obviously can't sing spit out some shit about cars and bitches with autotune I just want to puke. Music is music!

  • @Flyingtart Well, I can't argue with that.

  • LOVE IT

  • Nothing to lose

    Nothing to gain

    Just running wild

    Again and again and again

    =best part

  • If awesomeness could burn, I would be ashes after hearing this song. :)

  • tolle musik ...tolle bilder.... super

  • Ok, it means "Goddess Vana, Sweet vernal goddess" .... but it's not Breton ! I've learnt this language so I can recognize it ! Or if it is Breton, it's written in quite a very strange way !

The "aribedibedoh" is really what we can call "mouth music", you also find this in Irish music (like "fol de ra de do ..." etc.).

  • hearing this the first time today...

    what a great song..

  • A song to widen your heart... .

  • very grate band i have seen them in selb CRAZY

  • great song <3

  • they are alot better live :o

  • If people would wake up to this everyday....the world would be a better place.

  • @starchild5266 I wake up to this every day =D.

  • @starchild5266 you hit the nail on the head i total agree

  • ccc uludağ ccc

  • when i hear this song i feel me free and i would like to be a wiking

  • How could anyone NOT like this!?

I feel homesick... to another place and time. I wish I could just run in the forest. Just be free. Goddamnit.. don't cry.. T.T

    Beautiful song!

  • this song makes me wanna smile, even when I'm sad..

they have power in their music..

I hope they will go trough with this music and that the world will accept paganism

as we accept that there are other religions..

    blessed be brigid

  • Such an addictive song to listen to.

  • fuck, i lost the game :(

  • @Repelsteeltjuh Thx ;-)

  • @Repelsteeltjuh there is no way to lose the game of Life, unless you go to college!

but seriously, there is no way to lose the game of life

  • Like the music :)

    What language it is? :)

  • @BlAcKvIoLiNa89 I think the language is Breton it is an old Celtic language

  • This song and this video are wonderful!

  • einfach nur ne tolle Musik von Omnia! entspannend und ..ich steh einfach auf sone musik..Mittelalter ..geige und sooo

  • So true! Looked on wikipedia! Would never have thought to check there. Can't believe this band are not better known

  • I am so hooked on this group! AMAZING!!!!!

  • Amazing song! Just looked them up on wikipedia, they use 6 or 7 different languages.

  • ze zingen engels en zwitsers gejodel,

    ben daar 5x geweest:P

  • What language are they singing? Gaelic?

  • half of it is in enlish, the rest I think isn't in a language, but correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @wolfjeanne They said in a live show half of the lyrics was just plain bullshit that sounded nice

  • half of it is in english the other half is in Breton.

  • voices othe way they go together remind me of simon & garfunkel. they have extremely good harmony, not to imagine superb instrumental playing.

  • i've been there, it's so cool to be there, it is fantastic music, all of there songs

  • OMNIA!!!!!!!!!!

  • very nice :)
