It's called काष्टा (kaashTaa). It needs 1.5 times longer saree than today's regular sarees ('9 waar' sadi instead of today's '6 waar' saree). You can learn from any aagri or koli fisher woman in Mumbai, or from Marathi actresses who work in Marathi plays.
