Well, in Biblical times washing someone's feet was something only servants did and if someone did it that was not a servant than this was a sign of great humility. I think the director was trying to show that the man was apologizing to his wife for cheating on his wife (in his own way) by doing this. And yeah, the video is great, glad they used a hispanic couple and not your standard, run-of-the-mill white couple. Musicians should have more videos like this one.
