  • Were you approached by security and asked to leave while shooting this video?

  • Yes, how did you guess?

I take it you have been there and done that!

They objected to me using a tripod, hand held was OK apparently. It's in their RULES.

Fortunately by the time I was approached I had nearly finished and they eventually turned a blind eye.

    Tony

  • Yes, i'm supprised they didnt get to you sooner when clearly some of your shots are breaking the Standard Conditions for shooting in there.

  • Must have been my lucky day. Until I was approached I honestly had no idea they would have such rules. They did ask me if it was for commercial/professional use and I assured them it was purely personal/amateur. Anyway whats done is done!

  • Well good to hear, i'm just trying to find out why as soon as i step off the train the security are on to me and threating to call the police.

  • I did go in on a Sunday when it was very quiet and I did start at the far end of the platform and did it with complete innocence. Perhaps now you're looking guilty! have you tried asking permission of the transport people?

  • The problem isn't the permission its the security not knowing there job. I have been told that the security have now been informed at that it should no longer be a problem.

  • A superb clip which has had a tremengous amount of thought and editing put into it. The choce of music , especially on a Sunday, was well done

  • Thank you for the kind words, there is something special about trains even ordinary ones.

  • slpnz: who has informed you? It has nothing to do with security, they are just doing their job. ARTA (Auckland Regional Transport Authority) and OnTrack have determined for safety reasons, stationary objects (such as tripods) are a hazard on the station platform as they, in case of emergency evacuation may impede the free passage of patrons as well as present a possible trip hazard. Also please note that all train stations have a no photograph policy Threadbone: i remember you. great work! :)
