@bestpokemaster Haha! No sister. I sometimes make the mistake by replying under the 'wrong' channel name. No need to be upset really, your parents have to be fully prepared or at least willing to care for a dog.

@bestpokemaster Isn't 'depressed' really a bit too strong a word for this situation? I'm no doctor. Like I said before, just look up things about owning a Collie. There is really a lot to find out. And perhaps ask breeders for info. (btw I am the same person as colliezoya - I am logged in under my other channel name, this mistake happens A LOT :) )

@colliezoya me and my family have loads of time and i already know what time i would walk it etc and ur right i really love rough collies. If i got a Rough Collie when it was like 12 months old, would there be anything bad about that? ( like it not reconising me or something?)

@bestpokemaster I think it would be even better if you got an older dog. There are breeders who have or know older Collies for sale. Ofcourse they are already raised a bit, but these dogs can easily come just as attached to you as a puppy would. But still needs training etc. Don't be depressed, a dog is really worth the wait. In the meantime you could look up a bit more about Collies. How to train them etc. It's good to be prepared. I recommend that to all future Collie owners!

Help: My mum won't get me a Rough Collie i have begged everday for like 2 weeks now and a Sable and White Rough Collie is the only thing i want. My Mum said she will only get me it if she works part time but she'll never do that. I can't work ( too young ) and i'm gonna be the one looking after it. How can i make her get me a Rough Collie? could anyone please tell me what they think i can do.

@bestpokemaster I think you're mother is right not to have a dog just yet. A puppy takes a lot of time and it would not be fair to the dog if nobody has time for him/her. I don't know how old you are, but do you think you are capable to get up at night to take the puppy out? Puppies do that you know...I'm glad you love Collies, but please realise that it takes a lot of time to train/raise a dog. It's not a toy.

I have three collies. A blue-merle bitch, a tricolour bitch and a big tricolor dog. I really love them. The rough collies are the most beautiful and amazing dogs. But I prefer the modern european type.

I have a Collie.Very smart, will listen when needed. My moms first colliepassed away on her birthday. She was very depressed but a cat followed her home and she kept it until they got a new collie. one of them had to go because there was to much fighting to they got rid of the cat which ran on the street and got ran over. And when there other collie passed away we got ANOTHER one about 2 years later. He is 7 months old now and precious. I love him with all my heart. Collies are a true miracle!:)

I con not wait, I'm so excited! We have a ton planed out for him, Unfortunetly the mom only had two puppies, the breeder gets 1 and so do we :( But I'm just glad we get one, it's just that it will be harder to choose cuz there's less...

@colliezoya Sable. The mom is Sable too. The dad is white. Both boys, me and mom can't agree on a name so were waiting to find out the personality of the pups. I really don`t like waiting as you can tell.. ahh.

With Smooth Collies I prefer Tricolour or Blue Merles. But I am more fond of Roughies. I did met smooth Collies at dogshows, really cute!

@colliezoya 1 thing I called the dad white, he's Tri, my fault. U got that right, I like names that my mom hates, she has names that HATE. lol. blue merles are cute. 1 thing were only getting a smooth be cuz thats what my mom had when she was a kid, and too much hair and she has an allergic reaction, plus she has to clean the hair. Hey! I'm doing most of the work, training feeding, etc.

lol :) She likes the sport "Nascar" but she doesn't want to name the dog that.

@puppies791 Are both puppies sable? It's not easy to find the right name for a dog. It seems so easy. My Collie is called 'Zoya' my mothers choice. I had to get used to it, but now I understand that the name really suits, cause it means 'Life' in russian/Greek. Sometimes you have to compromise. I also take full care of our Collie. My dad only walks her in weekends or late in the evening. I feed/groom and walk her most of the time. Collies are the best companions! Very stabile dogs!

Yesterday I met a collie named Teddy. The owner said he had a cat that weighs 31 pounds, and his name's Bear.. Teddy Bear! Lol.

There really is something undefineable about a collie. They truely seem to peer inside you soul with their caring, compassion, and friendship.

I lost my rough collie, and best friend Casey on New Years day this year. His presence will stay with me always.

@Stangwlf I feel for your loss. I own two Roughs and they are the most loving souls that I have ever known, and that includes humans. In 2008, I had a heart-attack. When I came home from the hospital, my female (Lady) would not leave my side. If it had not been for her, I would surely have died. When she leaves this world, I will be lost for quite some time.
