  • toyota doe snot have quality went to a toyota dealerhsip to look at cars a few cars i went into werent that great quality to me

  • the 2005-2010 Toyota Yaris/ Toyota Vitz was assembled in

    China: Guangzhou

    France: Valenciennes

    Indonesia: Karawang

    Japan: Kanegasaki, Iwate; Ōbu, Aichi

    Taiwan: Zhongli

    Thailand: Chachoengsao

  • News about the 2012 model: Speedometer is behind the steering wheel, not on the center of the dash. The new car gets an exterior, more masculine makeover.

  • The rear seats are also adjustable... (In the small version) Which makes a lot more room in the back seats. Or a big trunk when you want go shopping!

  • you know your life is over when you get a yaris... no offense. get a honda civic or a fiat or SOMETHING... ANYTHING other than that! :O

  • @richieasian Toyota yaris is for people that can't afford a civic. This car is in the same class as the chevy Aveo and if you compare these two cars, the yaris is better.

  • I checked out the Yaris hatchback but couldn't find one with cruise control and hated the way they put the odometer in the middle of the dash! I ended up buying a Honda Fit after I fell in love with it's Magic Seat! I can fit my bike, luggage, surf board (if i owned one) and sleep comfortably overnight in the Fit. I would recommend checking out the Honda Fit first before the Yaris...although if gas mileage is your only concern, you can't really go wrong with either :)

  • @rookie33333 I agree with you.

The Yaris is an affordable, fuel efficiency car and I generally like the design, but what the hell is with the dashboard placement? Also, it's incredibly barebones.

The Honda Fit is an excellent choice, but it has a much higher MSRP. For its price range, I think you can get the Ford Fiesta, which reviews says offer a great ride with excellent built-in tech all while getting 32 combined MPG.

  • @Rezxer i agree the fit is wayy overpriced for a honda

  • I want one any body selling?

  • I have a 08 hatchback blue and I love it.

  • holy crap.. city mpg in the mid 30's!!?

  • @suprahmed That's right. I have a Yaris hatchback. The fuel mileage is sweet.

  • i dont think u need 2 worry 2 much about power. on public roads, ull never reach a cars' limit anyway. and i dont think ur gonna take a toyota yaris 2 a track either

  • The Toyota Yaris Sedan is a good car.

  • I saw a Vios 1.5 G Taxi in the Philippines.

  • Too bad in the Philippines they make it TAXI Which makes it Popular. Just because of 1.3 J.

  • where is the auxiliary input jack?

  • the sedan version of this car is called Toyota Vios here in the Philippines, while the hatchback is called Yaris... just sharing.. :)

  • this car is a piece of shit i prefer to ride a donkey instead of riding this piece of shit

  • mercedes benz have copied toyota s styling for proof look at the yaris front bumper and e class 2010 bumper

  • what is the top speed it can reach?

  • @Blazerelf fast enough

  • @Blazerelf I believe it can reach 126mph.

  • i'm tired of dumbasses acting like just because a car is small it struggles to go fast. i just took a 5 hour trip in my automatic yaris sedan with the cruise set at about 78 mph and i still attained 37 mpg.

the car will easily get up to 118 mph before the governor kicks in.

  • Well, I have small feet and my foot also touches the gas and break pedal at the same time, since they are too close to one another. And the gas pedal is way too far to the right, making my foot touch the carpet hump and the same time as I press the gas pedal. Toyota should add an extra half inch between pedals and that hump to the right.

  • @HUMBUMTEL i want one of these i am 14 years old 6 foot 3 229 lbs and wear a size 15 shoe is this car bad for me

  • @lukie117 My brother is 6 foot and almost the same weight as you. His shoe size is only a 10. He drives a Yaris comfortably. Even if you can't test drive the car, you can at least sit in the car and try the car on for size.

  • @annejilli the problem with that is that i am supposed to grow to be 6 foot 8 but i can try when i turn 16

  • LA Mega Yaris

  • lol at 76... Toyota : We stand behind every car we sell. (Just not in front of them!)

I actually liked the older Toyota Echo alot, but the Yaris' body design hurts my retinas

  • I test drove one of these and had a different gas pedal complaint. It's designed for people with small feet. I couldn't depress the accelerator without my foot touching the brake pedal AND the carpeted shifter hump or whatever you want to call that.

I have pretty big feet, but damn.

  • this is the new Taxi in the philippines

  • im getting the 2011 one for my birthday. :/ hope the gas pedal isnt as bad as people say.

  • @zepeterinma i have one. they are great cars. gas pedal is fine.

  • In my country the Philippines, this car is known as the All-New Toyota Vios.

  • this car looks really gay.

  • @1mckayj what do you expect form a toyota

  • american took advantage of destroying toyotas reputation for a pedal, which toyota took blame and they fixed it. The engine is still reliable. Every car has recalls.. but since toyota is known for good sales and was winning over new car owners. "America" decided to make it worse than it really was. America was loosing sells with gmc and ford. Now since the recall crap. Ford sales has sky rocketed. hmm. ???

  • @hardcorexxx69 its just good marketing. besides there are very few toyotas i would actually buy, the prius and yaris are not among them

  • @hardcorexxx69 Exactly.

Ultimately, it doesn't change much because Toyota will always be a quality brand and a top seller, but it does get aggravating to see the hypocrisy. Me? Personally, I used to recall a company which released a car famous for exploding due to a faulty gas tank.

I'll give a hint as to what company it is -- It is the same company that recently had to recall over a million vehicles due to a faulty gas tank issue again.

  • this car is great but going up hills can be a challenge

  • I had the 2007 Yaris. I'm getting a 2010 one now :) I had the blue liftback they showed a bunch in this video!

  • 9km/L city and 14km/L highway 1.5L A/T

  • ugly inside,ugly outside (hatchback)

  • I <3 my Yar Yar Binks =)

  • I love my yaris :)

  • Hm. How many times have the pedals stuck?

  • @Tabby266 i hav a yaris, and none, it was not on the recall list

  • i like the yaris sedan but id be embarssesd to drive the hatchback like marabdl lol!

  • @NissanFan120

I know!! But here in europe we dont get the sedan ... so I quess you know what am I driving and how do I feel... well there are worse cars, right? lol

  • i like all of the feature's on Chevrolet, but i wouldn't buy a chevy because they are really cheaply made.

  • Anyone interested in this vehical needs to watch the crash testing footage. What a joke. If you plan on buying this car you better get some good life insurance. If you are caught in a accident you are sure to be killed.

  • I have a Yaris model, Why do you think is dangerous to get one? Explain.

    My best regards

  • the acceleration problem

  • lol wicked like that

  • @76ersbbball look asshole it not the gas pedal that's the problem it's the idiot and moron that cant drive.

  • @76ersbbball Toyota ... will get you there faster =P

  • @76ersbbball haha so true ! new toyota gas pedal do suck ! i own both the new corolla and yaris !

  • @76ersbbball lol

  • sedan looks great. I would be embarrassed driving the hatchback

  • @marabdl why

  • @marabdl The 3 door hatchback is not the best looking model, however, the 5 door hatchback is quite cool!

  • @marabdl i drive a fucking purple honda fit so talk about embarassment. lol

  • This engine is 1NZ-FE unleaded fuel engine.

  • This Yaris Sedan is also known as Toyota Belta in Japanese market & Toyota Vios in South East Asian markets.

  • got 13 yo toyota revo...only go to the shop for filter and oil and tire change...a friend working at a n.carolina ford dealership was amazed how smooth it still run...love fords as well...everest

  • dont buy the 3-door hatchback, it's not durable and if you crash..you are sure dead. it's too small and cramped. buy the sedan instead or i suggest the honda fit or nissan versa

  • you don't need Race Car because of the speed limits and the gas price is going up I would buy me one in the heart beat.

  • wha...wha... what? This car isn't "sporty?" Enterprise rented me one while my truck was in the shop, and the Yaris has potential to haul ass. It has good acceleration power, but with an octane boost, it'll FLLYYY. I'd buy one of these for the fuck of it and re-build it if i had money to throw around.

  • I have a 2009 1.5 5MT chevy aveo ,

but i have an offer to replace it with a

new yaris 1.5 5MT , they both look the

same 4 me inside and outside although

the chevy have a daweo engine

    shall i pass or???

  • in the Philippines, we have a different Yaris, and that Yaris is called Toyota Vios

  • yeah...and we also have the Innova and the Revo, fuel-efficient SUVs...they don't make those here in the United States

  • i tought this is new vios?

  • yeah but in america they call it yaris for both hatchback and sedan :D

  • I've got the 2009 Toyota Yaris Sedan with the all new exclusive color Zephyr Blue (only for 2009 models).

  • wow those chrome looking dials look bigger than the tires haha

  • dont know how true but an auto mechanic friend of ours says that if everyone in town drove toyotas that he would be out of a business.

  • I think it's probably true. I've got 9 year old Corolla and it never ever needed any repair since new. Just regular service and i don't even do that much. Still goes like brand new..

  • @shoptilyoudrop he shoukd know how to fix them all, or he aint no mechanic.

  • yes a..hole,drive that big chevy suburban , feel safe and make this world useless for people to come with all the smoke and CO.

  • Betakizz2, go f..k urself with a big f..ing truck and feel safe, die while walking. wht the f u r talking abt. its ppl like u spoil the environment. learn from europe.

  • I don't listen to some of these comments since some of you a- don't own the vehicle or b- just search these things to make negative comments.

I have the 2009 3 door liftback in dark red and I love it. It is a great car with lots of space for the size- I am 6'1 and I fit fine even in the back seat. It has very simple controls and I understand everything about it. It has definite quality and I love it. And the gas mileage is great, to boot.

  • It seems to me that the Toyota Yaris is good because it Kenny Smith Jumps Japan industry master of the world to the modern age .. Speaking about the Yaris sedan it the peak of comfort and elegance, but security is not good enough and wonderful in so that the fuel consumption very few unlike Alstaap U.S.

  • Nobody has any idea what you just said.

  • Larry David from curb your entusiam said the echo has 52 mpg in the city but and he said it all depends what city you go to,but that's bullshit!

  • Excellent report!!

it helped a lot in making my decision about Toyota Yaris

  • cant believe da rear leg room is almost like my corolla which is kinda cool

  • i can't believe u said that about toyota, the highest grossing car sales in the world.

  • you're absolutely right, no way im disagreeing but my neighbor just bought one with the cash for clunkers program for his son and i got to ride in it, and honestly i think if you focus on who these people are targetting for customers its worth it.

they've made it so that its so cheap and affordable yet safe that people who couldnt afford vehicles unless they were used can have cars now.

honestly, i'd have bought a honda fit over a yaris :P

  • yea but I would be worried about the interior not holding up. the whole car should hold fine but the plastics just seem like they will break easily.

  • The plastics in this car are hard enough to break your bone easily.

  • yea its that hard, and its funny how many people gave me thumbs down some people are just diehard imort car people and anytime someone bad mouths them they bitch and cry about it LOL. Imports are fare from perfect cars they have there recalls and problems just like any other car make out there.

  • viva tata nano !! jahajahajaha

  • Its a fucking hatchback not a liftback

  • It's the same thing

  • Jealous much? :-)

  • most toyotas look like alien cars which is great

  • LOL they use Yaris sedan as Taxi in Indonesia ! brilliant for saving fuels !

  • Who needs a powerful engine in country governed with speed limit and cops are roaming almost every hour. I love a reliable, efficient and comfortable car and can attain the speed limit of 70mph (US highways). That's all I want for my car.

  • yea,me too,but there is no speed limit in my country LOL.But still I prefer these kind of cars rather than sportscars.

  • @eraserheads78 well what if your being chased by an axe murder then youll want a faster car :P

  • @eraserheads78 totally agree, but, i would also like good acceleration as well as good speed. i'd rather drive a car with a top speed of 90, but can get from 0-60 in a decent amount of time.

  • My dad has a 2007 Honda Fit (automatic) and I just bought a 2009 Toyota Yaris sedan, with a manual trans, so mine is quicker off the line than his :P

  • too bad is used as taxi's in my country, so the resale value is not as high as it competitors because of its image as cabs..

  • lol here we use v8 sedans that get 5mpg you guys are lucky lol

  • v8 sedans use as taxis??

  • yea they are some big ass cars they are ford crown victorias if you want to look it up

  • yup,coz its fuel efficient.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, in our country they called it vios

  • Comment removed

  • according to research, its easier for humans to move their eyes sideways than up and down, that's why the Yaris' instrument panel is placed in the middle, so you wont hurt your eyes looking from the road, to the dash and back.

  • this is a cool car...but the dashboard layout is irritating and is hard to get used to

  • no it is not hard to get used to in Iceland we have had Toyota yaris from 1999 and they where not hard to get used to the older yaris was smaller and no there was not that good comfort for the back seat but the front is very good.

  • 1999 wow, i thought the yaris is a first introduce in 2004??

  • it was already avaible europe before it came to the U.S.

  • Ooo..

  • djkasjdkasdjdj(wow that's a mouthfull): Toyota Vitz (Echo), then Toyota Belta (Yaris)

  • unless your poor or realy love the style then by a corollla . you will be happier in the end

  • its nice but i dont seem to care for the placement of the spedometer. but the gas milage is niiice!

  • Best Subcompact Sedan with nice design and roomy interior.

  • these cars are soooo cute in person...my gf is in love with them lol

  • which is better ? yaris sedan or SX4 sedan ?

  • well... it depends. SX4 has standard 4 wheel drive and the front has a strange pillar on the sides of the windsheild. its a personal choice though

  • SX4 is 4WD standard ? wow !

  • this car has very good gas mileage

  • my corolla has amazing gas mileage n yaris is even more amazing !

  • yaris leads!!!

  • nice car with great gas mileage!

  • Great car!
