Panametric EQ drives me nuts sometimes.. and yet other times, out of sheer frustration I'd just frantically sweep the 'placeholders' and stumble upon this "SWEET SPOT".. I still can't figure out how I can get to that point, where I'd know what I'm getting at lol!! I usually just compose all the piano-rolls/instruments into 1 project and tweak the hell outta each one.. And then FINALLY with Pana..EQ. Wish I could view a step-by-step tutorial to a generic trance/dance number. Trade secret X'"(?!
FL studio hahahahahaahahahahaahahahahahahahahaaahaahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhahahahahahahaahahahaahahahahaahahhaahahahahaah..........ahahahahahaahahahahaahaahahaahahahahaahahahaahahahaahahah
Oh my God! eQ never made a lot of sense to me before. All the tutorials I've read are to technical and tedious and I never had the time to grasp it. Th8is makes perfect sense. Thanks!
What mjb336 said below, how about a tutorial to demonstrate the effects of Panametric EQ settings on an entire mix/song? I know I know, its gonna be different for every1, and probably some ppl are gonna diss the settings used at all.. But like some insights into "Bass Heavy", "Treble Heavy", "Mid Heavy" etc might do us some good..!?
yo man cud u make a video on how to avoid muddy mixes in fl studio? cuz when i render my mix tha subs always have that muddy effect is it the channel settings or parametric eq or both im really having trouble wid this pleaz anybody help!
I learn alot dude thank you man. You are the God of Fruity Loops. I don't give a fuck about the other 12 haters, they are just mad because you are the God and they are the satanz lol. I hope I didn't hurt your sweet spot haters hahaahahaha
yes, BooBass sounds appalling, but with a lot of EQing, compression and what not I actually managed to make it sound fat and pumping, almost like a 70's dub bass. sounds nothing like boobass.

Really good stuff there. Makes more sense now. For a long time, I've tried to find someone who explains this as simply as yourself. The videos from image-line seem to be rather complicated i think. Will be sure to check out more from you. Thanks again.
@7spiffy Right click, click on rename.. then in the right corner there's a gray little squar.. click a color changer will pop up.. its the same for the sequencer..
thank you so much! I myself have been a producer for 2 years. I started when I was 12. And I didn't know any of this stuff back then. so I recomened that anyone just starting out should subscribe to this guy and watch all of his tutorials! I know I am!
Amazing video. Just taught me TONS there. The only thing I struggle with, is doing the same with parametric EQ 2. I realise its the same principle, but the various numbers can be moved around. I guess its the graphical interface that throws me off?
Haha 05:29 - 05:45 out of context: 'We're gonna move this nob, and you're gonna notice now that this is getting tighter. And that's what we want. So we're gonna give it about that much - we want it fairly tight cos we're gona find the SWEET SPOT....' Talk about Innuendos!
I like your videos. I was wondering if you have a video that can explain how to make to take out the static on a kick without making it lose any bass so that it can make speakers boom with the actual kick and not some static with it.
What version of FL is this? Also I checked out the FL Juice Pack which has 2 Parametric EQs but it doesn't look like it has the slider triangular waveform dealy? It doesn't look the same at all. Anybody know?
All Ur Tutorials are great.. Best quality on UTube.. But PLEASE make a tutorial about the whole mastering and first of all Compression.. Still cant figure it out :/
i thought i knew FL, and i still like to watch these as like a little refresher...but this dudes def. the shit...i would like to hear some of his finished products
heyy great tutorial, i was wonderin if i could ask you a few more things about fl studio cause im a beginner producer but when i make the tune it sounds sorta midi'ish & im tryin to get it to sound good quality & clear,i need a lil more help with it, how could i do that?
once again thanks for all the tutorials you've been makin, good work!
I agree. It feels like I just saved myself a lot of time and money by not having to go to school to learn even the simplest techniques in mixing. I am going to EQ all my songs right now.
Add a VSTi into your channel (stepsequencer or add a bass wav sound) and play with it with your keyboard till you get what you like..NFX has already a Tutorial about basslines please check his site and you will see alot of them there...
I really like the way he explains and says his thoughts,he isn't forcing opinions he prefers he is just saying them as a possibility. All of his tutorials are great.

Anyone know how to Record vocals from a built-in microphone on a laptop, then send it into FL Studio?
EGSoldier 2 years ago
if u want to record into fl studio download ASIO driver (ASIO4ALL) then go to mixer and choose the output ASIO
zikmano 2 years ago
The ASIO doesn't show up in mixer output.
EGSoldier 2 years ago
try getting audicity, record into that, save the file, convert to MP3 then load up into FL sutdio
you can also add effects to the audio clip in audicity
jonobyrne 2 years ago
yeah you gotta jus set your microphone on its in audio settings

If you use eq2 it´s easyier to find the sweetspot, you see where the energy is at highest
addeex1 3 years ago
the sweet spot isnt what is best for the individual sound, but the entire collection of sounds
BADNEWSWESDOE 3 years ago
Wut?
addeex1 3 years ago
the sweet spot has to do with the entire mix itself, you eq according to everything collectively so sounds are lost.
